It’s always pleasing to watch the both of you. Justin is so kind and caring. He gives off a Libra energy. Lol. Alina is pretty and honest. They’re a great couple.
Cashiers repeat the amount to make sure that the customer knows they got the money, so they can't be scammed. YOU SHOULD HAVE TRIED CHOWKING'S FRIED CHICKEN!!! SO SO GOOD!
@@project_where Hello sir I'm from Philippines ,, I need your help sir for my son he needs nebuliser he is 3 months old 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🥺🥺🥺🥺 hope you help me🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏it's ok if second hand or lowest price sir🙏🙏🙏🙏
We Filipinos love siomai, especially when there is chilli 🪔 oil. You and Alisha may have a Filipino blood because you love siomai also.hehe. fun seeing you guys enjoying Filipino foods in your vlog. Hope you can visit Bohol also. I'd be glad to show you around our small province
I tried sometime chopsuey in CK MOA ..I dont know if it just an isolated mistake because I didnt tried it their again.. the Veges were cut in smaller strips than normal (as shown in photos of their signages) and overcooked instead of normally Crispy. I dont have idea if thats still occuring these days.
Chowking is one of my go-to-fastfood places as they offer a wider selection of food compared to Jollibee, McDonalds, and KFC. Before the advent of their Chinese-style Fried Chicken which i partner with Kangkong (Water Spinach), i would go there for their Lauriat meals which these two should try next time. It has a little of everything from your choice of chicken or sweet and sour pork, a little lumpia, chow mein or pancit, plus a dessert called buchi (pastry).
Another local resto you can try while in Cebu is MyJoy (same level as ChowKing in Ayala). Perhaps you'll get lucky and be able to get halo-halo there. But you should get their mango-pandan too. Another must-try is their tacos and pork belly. You'll only find MyJoy in Cebu, so check it out. Another good halo-halo is one from Kuya J (local resto).
No halo-halo in Chowking and Mang Inasal because they are both under Jollibee food corporation, they probably haven't delivered the ice cream yet on all their franchise.
Since you are in Cebu you should try Harbor City, Ding Qua2x and others with steam rice. These are derived from home grown Chinese foods from old colon area. Also Manila Restaurant in Country Mall. Cebu has many old Chinese families and restaurants that contributed to it's culture, esp. to the food culture. Since you are from Hong Kong it would be interesting to get your take on our local Chinese culture influence.
You can find Chowking all over the country, but you can only find these home grown Chinese food shops in Cebu, and personally I thing they are better in some areas than Chowking. Look for steam rice, they usually have different kind of siomai, with quail egg etc. Before we have Mc Donald's and Jollibee in Cebu, we had Brutus Burger, it's not Chinese but I hope you also try that in Cebu.
Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwhich Pizza, Red Ribbon, Coffee Bean, Burger King Phil, Dunkin Donuts Phil and Hard Rock Cafe Phil, etc. are all under Jollibee Corporation and the owner is Tony Tan Caktiong.
Speaking of halohalo, the best halohalo in Cebu is the SOL'S Halo-halo. You can find it anywhere, but if you want the best food experience, there is a Halohalo Street area in Cebu, you can go to Tisa, Cebu City. Just ride # 12L jeepney from Ayala terminal, you can find sol's halohalo there as well. Few next blocks from halohalo street in tisa, you can find the siomai street in cebu. The Siomai sa Tisa. Enjoy your adventure.. 😊😊💪👌
@@project_where You know what would be even better is if you can find one that will actually show you how it's done and what goes into it. A lot like the one I saw on one of Anthony Bourdain's show when he visited PH.
My favourite halo-halo is ChowKing’s. It’a shame there’s a shortage of ice cream when you visited. I can’t remember if you’ve already had halo-halo but I will be watching all your videos to see if you have!
@Project Where....You should try restaurants/cafes/bars only found in Cebu and look for the blue seal BEST OF CEBU as it is a guarantee that they have great foods or products. BEST OF CEBU is like the Michelin Stars award accorded to establishments who have exemplary products or services. Some of the restaurants/fast food/cafes/bars which were awarded BEST OF CEBU and found only in Cebu that you should try are: Burger Joint, Sol's Halo Halo, Big Tom Burger, Abaca Baking Company, Luncheonette, Phat Pho, Joanna's Halo Halo, Sunburst Fried Chicken, Cebu's Original Lechon Belly (COLB), CnT Lechon, Abuhan Restaurant (Uno, Dos, Tres), among others.
We also have Tokyo Tokyo Filipno Japanese fast food. Army Navy Burito and Burger Fil-Mex fastfood. You should also try Tropical Hut Filipino fastfood older than Jollibee.
I like the HK style crispy skin chicken which is not breaded but taste very good. I prefer that over KFC or Jolibee chicken. Tausi is Black Bean sauce which is a little salty. I love Braised beef with broccoli flowers and tausi. Good dish.
chowking is alr lol not dog water but it aint bad ngl. def have to try icebergs' halo-halo (idk if they have a spot in cebu) and razon's halo-halo (recommend doin razon's after trying traditional halo-halo bc it's a different variation of it). if ur into fast food, yellow cab is the best pizza chain in the PH. best food spots in cebu imo are kayu, pig and palm, and circa 1900. also if ur planning on goin to oslob, yall might also want to check out neighboring areas such as siquijor and dumaguete. consider checking out bohol and bacolod as well
Thanks for the detailed recommendation Kyle. We’re actually heading to Circa next week for a video:) stay tuned. Also, we’re hoping to visit oslob next week, so big week ahead!
Hello Justin and Alina. If you are still in the city, you may try halo - halo at Cafe Laguna or Laguna Garden Cafe in Ayala Mall. Their halo-halo is yummy and much like the original halo halo in Luzon.....they serve good Filipino food as well! As to dimsum, you may try Harbor City Dimsum or Dimsum Break in the malls (Ayala or SM). Their steamed rice, yangchow fried rice, mushroom siomai, quail egg siomai, plain pork siomai, shrimp hakao, etc are really good! The siomai or hakao may be dipped into ginger sauce, sweet sour sauce or hot chili sauce. These sauces make the siomai more flavorful 😋😋😋 Your food vlogs are great. Keep safe and enjoy the sites of Cebu!
Go to a Seafood Restaurant in Cebu..Maybe one of your Cebuano subscribers can recommend a good restaurant that’s not expensive👌 When I went to Cebu I know there are local seafood resto close to Fort San Pedro and also in Lantaw, the Lantaw Floating Restaurant. But Lantaw is far from Cebu City plus its hard to get a taxi coming out of that area..Good food and affordable but we had a hard time looking for tranpo out of there🤷♀️
If you are looking for chinese filipino cuisine, then look for ma chang (粽) chinese filipino version, humba, kiampong, fresh lumpia (fresh not fried ones), lomi, maki mi. These are the staples of chinese filipino food mostly of 泉州市福建 provenance
if i were you just ask for thr bestsellers..and ask them what sauces to use and how they normally do and eat it.. just try halo halo in another branch..
one thing about Filipino Fast Food wherever you go we have a rice or a meal with rice not like other country specially in Europe. I'm Filipino who lives in NL (Netherlands) and the only thing they have here that we also have in the PH is MCDONALD'S AND KFC fast food chain that have the best chickens in the world ( Jollibee is still the best haha) and as a Filipino who grow up in the PH and love RICE do you know how hard it is for me to go to KFC & McDonalds without eating rice and do you know how boring to eat a chicken in KFC ONLY CHICKEN!!!!! ahhhaahaha also PH has the best gravy(KFC) in the world. ( but i also think PH is the only one who have gravy, i don't know so no hates for the people) and also love your vlogs and you two look so cute 2gether stay safe and more vlogs in the PH....... byeeee
I totally get what you mean. In HK, there was mushroom rice that serves with the fried chicken. Sth similar to the mushroom sauce at Jollibee but on rice! Chicken without rice definitely feels strange for me too in Australia!
Hello this is Jerome your motorcycle driver in Ayala mall hukad restaurant ☺ cam i ask you if What video editor you use for video editing Thank you! And have a good trip food in Cebu Philippines ♥♥♥
It's a wise choice not to order the chicken from Chowking, because they recently changed the flavour of it to make it taste like curry. It no longer has a distinctive flavour that people enjoyed back then..
Chowking's founder is named Robert Kuan, so it's not from his name (note: around 20yrs ago the brand was bought by Jollibee's subsidiary holdings firm that also bought Mang Inasal, Tim Ho Wan, etc). The name is actually (probably completely) English, not something like Zhao Qing spelled differently (although the mascot looks like a Qing official; even the old, nightmare fuel bao-headed guy had a Qing hat on). It's "chow" as in 'stir fry' but also American slang for food (because woks...that's how that term started in California), and "king" as in 'huang.'
It’s always pleasing to watch the both of you. Justin is so kind and caring. He gives off a Libra energy. Lol. Alina is pretty and honest. They’re a great couple.

I worked on my college day as a front liner in the dining area. Buchi and bola bola siopao are my favorite. Unforgettable experience.
Justin you are so kind to filipinos! You gonna get a lot of success in the Philippines just like Lost LeBlanc!!
Thanks Aikah :)
Cashiers repeat the amount to make sure that the customer knows they got the money, so they can't be scammed. YOU SHOULD HAVE TRIED CHOWKING'S FRIED CHICKEN!!! SO SO GOOD!

Yes.. Chowking and Mang Inasal are my fastfood places to go to, in terms of those who are available everywhere
If you go back to Manila, aside from finding Lourdes and Ugbo night Market in Tondo, you may want to revisit Binondo and find Sincerity Chicken too

Chowking and Mang Inasal are owned by Jollibee as well.
Next time try Nathaniel's siomai and other dishes they have and buko pandan. It's very delicious!
Jollibee, Chowking, Mang Inasal, Greenwhich Pizza, Red Ribbon, Coffee Bean, Burger King Phil, Dunkin Donuts Phil and Hard Rock Cafe Phil, etc. are all under Jollibee Corporation and the owner is Tony Tan Caktiong.
I love chowking ,❤😍
Try Razon's Halo-halo. Simple but good.
Both of you can try the halo-halo in Mang Inasal or if you want the traditional you can go to Little Quiapo
Speaking of halohalo, the best halohalo in Cebu is the SOL'S Halo-halo. There are several branches of Din Tai Fung in the Philippines.
Try iceberg, there be halo.halo there, but more expensive
My favorite is pork chao fan mixed with chilli sauce
I second that. Tasted amazing!
Try mouchi Preh...🤣
Don't give up on the Halo-Halo just yet. The last one I had was actually at Chowking and really enjoyed it. 😉
Halo Halo deserves an individual episode, never give up!
@@project_where You know what would be even better is if you can find one that will actually show you how it's done and what goes into it. A lot like the one I saw on one of Anthony Bourdain's show when he visited PH.
You should also visit Temple of Leah and Sachiko's Little Kyoto. Also La Vie in the sky (the rooftop have good view)
halo-halo can eat w/o ice cream... mostly when you buy halo-halo in the street they serve it w/o ice cream..
When you go back to Manila try visiting Ugbo Tondo.
My favourite halo-halo is ChowKing’s. It’a shame there’s a shortage of ice cream when you visited. I can’t remember if you’ve already had halo-halo but I will be watching all your videos to see if you have!
My fave fastfood 'coz of their variety food choices.
in Chowking, I always go for the Lauriat, its a good choice for one person...and of course Halo Halo :) The chicken in Chow King is also good...
yeah Chowking i like it. for me it's the chicken lauriat sweet 'n sour and lomie noodles and when not so hungry just the pork chow fan and tufu
Wow what a compliment! Not sure chow king deserves it. You must try the dimsum at the Summer Palace in Shangila Plaza Hotel... 5 stars.
Aha, I love Dimsum. Will check it out, thanks Fernando
Correct me if i'm wrong but jollibee, chowking and mang inasal is now under one company. That's what i heard. But thank you for enjoying the food. 👏👏👏
Correct
BTW Mang Inasal, Jollibee, Greenwich Pizza and ChowKing are owned by one company. But the BEST grilled chicken are ooked.in.Bacolod City.
chowking friedchicken is underrated. Its very crispy.

why senior citizen lane? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 welcome to PH♥️
Jollibee, Mang Inasal, and Chowking are actually under the same company. Also, don't get halo-halo on a fast food.
If you want to eat and save a money in chow king you must get the kingsmeal cause its has 7 different dish in one plate and it has a drink to
Halo halo is originally made with shaved ice not ice cream
what happened to halo halo in cebu . i hope you can try halo halo soon.
Hope u get 100k subscribers
Working on it ❤️❤️
I like the HK style crispy skin chicken which is not breaded but taste very good. I prefer that over KFC or Jolibee chicken. Tausi is Black Bean sauce which is a little salty. I love Braised beef with broccoli flowers and tausi. Good dish.
Try UBE Halo Halo in Kuya J Restaurant

Go to fuente and try pungko2
Try another chain called DIMSUM EXPRESS (A Cebuano Chain)
been eating in chowking but i never knew they have chicken siomai 😂 i thought they only have one type of siomai. they only ask if steamed or fried 😅
Chowking is also a sister company of jollibee and mang inasal.
When you're very hungry and have not eaten anything yet, anything you taste is delicious.

I think chow is a slang "to eat" in the 90s or something but it doesn't taste the same as before...
if i were you just ask for thr bestsellers..and ask them what sauces to use and how they normally do and eat it..
just try halo halo in another branch..

You may find "halo-halo" at other food court around. Just ask at the counter.
Thank you! We need to try Halo Halo soon!!!
Go to china town in manila
Hello this is Jerome your motorcycle driver in Ayala mall hukad restaurant ☺ cam i ask you if
What video editor you use for video editing
Thank you! And have a good trip food in Cebu Philippines ♥♥♥
Hey Jerome, it was so nice meeting you. Alina says Hi! We use final cut pro/ luma fusion for editing. For simple cuts, we use capcut sometimes too :)
And his camera is good too.
Din Tai Fung, actually Taiwanese. Be careful… 😬😉
And, yes, their food is phenomenal.
Halo halo is like McDonald's ice cream machine always out order.
fact 😂
If ever you want to try halo-halo, avoid delivery to get the full experience. Chowking or Mang inasal.
It's a wise choice not to order the chicken from Chowking, because they recently changed the flavour of it to make it taste like curry. It no longer has a distinctive flavour that people enjoyed back then..
Chowking is part of jollibee also along with mang inasal ang greenwich
It's just fast food try the authentic one, but the laugh that's count hahaha
😂
Never had Philippine food before
Gud eve
Hello again!
I think Mr.chow is the owner of chow king.
I believe Chowking is currently owned by JOLLIBEE FOODS CORPORATION
Interesting facts!
The taste if Chowking changed after Jollibee bought it
