Thank you so much sir for featuring “ATE ANNA’S CRISPY KARE KARE ATBP.- VILLAMOR PASAY BRANCH in your channel sir. Grateful for this opportunity. This is going to be a big help for our small business. More power sir 🙏🧡. Our hearts are full knowing that you actually liked our dishes.
This is probably the best (so far) Philippine food vlog made by a foreigner. It is so immersive and tried some foods that many foreign vloggers have failed to show. It's a mix of what's popular and must-try and also some not so well known but equally great food to try. The puto-bumbong in the end is a perfect ending to this episode.
This is by far the most deep and realistic true Filipino street food vlog ever! Very spontaneous, non scripted video. He actually ate all the food he ordered and enjoyed it. One man show! No need for big production crew. Mike you’re the best! I love this video
You can tell Mikey's in his happy place when he starts getting the sisig sweats! As a Filipino-American, this brought back a lot of food memories with my Dad. Thank you for this!
I know how these food tastes being a Filipino but this guy’s appetite for Filipino food is on another level!!! Really enjoyed watching this video. Now I’m craving for some Filipino food!!!
I love how you just walk around trying the first food you glimpse at.. that right there is real philippine experience.. more power to you sir.. thank you for sharing to the world the filipino culture..
This is the most fun I’ve ever had watching a foreigner do a food vlog in the Philippines! Amazing. Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos
Hi Mike ! Glad you enjoyed Elar’s Lechon. It’s considered one of the top 3 if not the best Lechon in the country. It is actually considered an institution and is usually the Lechon of choice for corporates and big high society events. Thank you for promoting our foods. We are very proud of it and we love it. Enjoy your visit.
I have watched you for a long time and seeing how you’ve come to discover Filipino food is just amazing. From your first try to really delving deep into the markets of Manila shows your passion for food. At 4:28 AM I am hungry
This is why Mike is my favorite travelling food blogger, just when he ate the kare-kare he instinctively put the shrimp paste with it. Because that's really how we eat it. If it would be a different person they'd be gagging from the smell of the shrimp paste.
Thanks man for showcasing smaller businesses and really taking time to present the quality and value of our food! Been following you since your 7/11 reviews and I must admit everytime you are in PH, you share your joys about our food. This vid might be your best one yet!
just came back from the philippines a few days ago and I had my husband try lanzones, he def is addicted to it! It's the perfect amount of sweet. It's really good! Loved that you liked it too!
Don't Watch with an empty stomach! I was drooling while watching this. The Seafood, Crispy Kare-Kare, Sisig, Lechon, etc... looks so Yummy! Thanks Mikey! More power to you & your channel!!!
Mike Chen is my favorite foreigner Pinoy food Vlogger!! This guy not only eat the food but also giving us real honest opinion about the food he eats👍🏻👍🏻😊
Wow! During my college days in Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PhilSCA), Estong's sisig was a staple to us students! They had the BEST sisig and I'm so glad that you were able to experience their food! Thank you for taking me down memory lane :)
Oh my gosh, all the Filipinos approving the video really is so cool. Like confirmation that we're seeing the REAL country & experiencing it with him, but confidently
I've not eaten or experienced half of what you've eaten over the years, but it looks delicious and very healthy...I have missed these videos and am glad to once again see them...!!!!!!!!
Thanks Mikey for always featuring Filipino food.....you are one of the genuine vloggers obviously into our culture and our food......we support and love you 🥰🥰🥰🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Im now a follower and fan. I like how you are able to properly describe the food. Some may not be your favorite but you are so good out how you describe what is nit perfect about it but does not dwell into it. You just continue to properly describe. ❤
Same here if we're talking 24 hours but this was a 50hr vlog and Mike works out a lot everyday and knowing how hot it is in Manila, I'm sure you'll manage.
By far one of the best food review for legit Pinoy dishes. Best Filipino dishes and street food. The spontaneous and random places where he ate and how he explained and react to each meal/food-with no script or nil added dramas made it more authentic and fun at the same time! Definitely auto like and subscribe! 💯💯💯
this is legit the best food blog of filipino dishes ever. I love how you just walk around and look for restaurants unlike all ive seen they just go to big names.
Thank you for sharing the local eats close to the airport. This is beneficial for the local economy as well as for people traveling from aboard. Cheers from NYC! 🎉❤
Great video Mikey! I love the videos when you venture around the streets and just enjoy! The people of the Philippines are just the warmest. Looking forward to the next one already!
I already like you and your videos before but I like you even more now. Not only because Philippines is my home country but since I know what‘s good and what‘s not, it made me realize even more how genuine and authentic you are in reviewing food from different countries. Enjoy your travels! looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Awesome! Welcome back! Better make your sawsawan.. Fish sauce+Kalamansi+spicy chili, satisfying. Especially if you are eating bulalo. And if you see a vinegar dip with a lot of shallots or onion and chili, scoop more.
It's a joy to watch you enjoy our food! I just stumbled upon this video and you made me miss my country's cuisine so much. So rare to see a foreigner genuinely appreciate our food, thank you!
This is so good! Just walking around and going for whatever piques your interest is probably the best way to actually experience Filipino food. Also, the fact that you don't have some sort of entourage whenever you go out to eat is the best part. No outside influences where people bring you places they want to promote, just hunger and curiosity.
Probably the best food vlog by a foreigner. Just admiring everything without comparing to any other Asian country. To all foreigners out there, when you try our food, put in your mind that we're The Philippines. We have our own food and taste.
I am a big fan and i live just outside Villamor where you were staying.. had i known we could have met. I'm glad that you went to see and eat food from not so popular areas in the City. This is one of the best videos you made man. We love what you're doing. Keep up the good work. God Bless and be safe always.
Fresh lumpia is Fujian/Chaozhou in origin. It is known as popiah in Singapore/Malaysia and widely sold in Taiwan as fresh spring roll. And Mikey says he's never had it before.
the flavor changer for that would be the vegetables. The veggies used by singapore or taiwan might be a different set here in the PH which makes it different
Thank you for coming back and exploring the street food of Manila! Next time you visit you could pair up with some food content creators, and know more about your favorite sisig dish; the origins of it and all. There is a channel called FEATR that showcases the different provinces in the country and their culinary heritage. Maybe you could try and visit one of those provinces next time. 🤍
Welcome back mike! Don't you just love when you see a good find food in other countries😊. Experiencing flavor bombs, how different dish comes together and enjoying it in different places. 🎉❤
Been enjoying your videos for YEARS!!! Especially the Filipino vids since I’m Filipino American. Love it my friend BUT… but… you have to eat Filipino food with a spoon and fork bud. I’ve always wanted to jump through the screen and hand you a spoon. Lol
Miss you and your vlog Mikey, this is my first time watching a video of yours since the pandemic, this popped into my wall, YT recommends it. I don’t eat a lot of the foods you have in this video but I appreciate your positive comments about the foods in the Philippines 🇵🇭. Positive vibes!
Best way to explore food just by roaming around the metro and see a lot of food choices.. That is how you know you are in the Philippines, food everywhere and vinegar plus pork

Yup, my favorite fruit, even more so than Philippine mangoes which are the best in the world. For me, #1 Lanzones #2 Mangoes #3 Mangosteen
