  • I had more stuff than my little car can hold. I did not want to spend 200+ on a hard shell car top carrier, which I have no room to store. So, I researched for the next best thing. This bag got good reviews and was a fair price.

    to avoid that water to get in you should place the side that doesn't open toward the front of the car

      Well spoken Mesrour! I had everything in bins so I could test the zipper. But yes, I have used the non zipper end on the front since. Thanks!

    We used this same bag 2 years ago on our trip from Texas to Florida. On the way there, sunny skies, light rain. However, on the way back we battle heavy rain and wind. This bag was filled with items to its full extent and held up well. No rain penetrated into our stuff. We are about to take another trip and plan to use it. That’s how confident we are with it. I’ll post another review after our trip.

      Yeah great! I had mine backward to test the zipper. If you turn the correct end into the wind, it will do fine. As you well know. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your next post. Be safe.

    I have been using each time my family went camping every year. The Roofbag is high end compare with another brand which i had been research before I bought it. It is very very good and happy to buy this product.

    I think they say the logo should be on the back, that’s probably the issue

    • @Mity_Moose
      @Mity_Moose  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I will put the zipper in the back on next use. But at least we know how well it does seal. Actually I was impressed. Because everything was in bins, I was not worried. Thanks for the comment.

      Mity Mouse I just got my roof bag and am going to try it soon. Bins are a good idea since these aren’t 100% waterproof

      It inverted because he had it on the roof backwards

    What size is this bag (Cubic feet)? I see a lot of reviews on Amazon of people referencing the 11 or 15 cu feet model, but I only see 13 and 17 cu Ft. models listed on Amazon.

      Mine is 17. It is bigger than my roof. But it’s heavy duty.

    The noise is depended in the car which you drive I think. I had been used Honda Odyssey more noise than Jeep Grand Cherokee. Probably American car company is made more insulation than Foreign Manufacturing car company

    Can this thing survive highway speed? 75mph? I have a 2000 mile trip I'm trying to go on...

    • @Mity_Moose
      @Mity_Moose  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      MisterWealth... It's all in the tie down. You can use plastic wrap if you tie it down properly. My thoughts on this are, and work well for me, to always try to keep things from flapping. I put bungee cords on my tie downs so that they would have continuous pressure to keep from flapping. And, this fabric is so thick that I think it will survive very well. Just don't have an long areas of looseness which could flap. When I opened my sun roof and saw how stable things were up there, I had all the assurance I needed. Hey! Be safe and please report your experience.

      Yes it’s all about how well you tie it down. You can secure almost anything to the top of your car as long as it’s tied down good. I’ve seen someone with a couch tied to the top of a jaguar on the 405 freeway in LA! True story. Lol

      If you do not have Amazon where you are, I cannot help you. But there are now lots of bags on amazon. Mine is the original "Roof Bag", made in USA. Hope that helps.

      Yeah! But, since that trip i have realized that the back of the bag has no zipper. So, next trip the back will go in front. I'm like... DUH!

      My next trip will have the zipper in back.

    • @Mity_Moose
      @Mity_Moose  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah! Great question. How safe is the location you will stop at. I suppose if there were some way to lock down a chain around it, I might sleep at night. But if its just clothing and not nintendos or Xboxes, etc. Then no big deal. Anything that slows down a thief can deter a thief. Especially in a well lit and camera'd spot.

    what is max speed 100km/h?

    • @Mity_Moose
      @Mity_Moose  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure the bag can handle any speed when strapped properly and the zipper is in the back. I wanted to test the zipper itself in rain. It did pretty good actually.
