Mity Mouse
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 26 ธ.ค. 2013
Mity Mouse shares fixes, discoveries, ideas, inventions, art work, marble machines, and anything which I would have liked to have known before I started something.
When I was a baby, my dad called me Mighty Mouse because I was quite strong. I adopted an abbreviated form because the correct spelling was not available.
I enjoy painting in water color, color pencil, and digital. I started with sketching in pencil until I reviewed a book called, "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". This book revolutionized my ability to see as an artist sees. I highly recommend it for any starting artists.
My goal is to give some one an ahha moment, a "glad i saw that", or maybe just some entertaining moments.

GoSports Bowling PIN setter, a game changer
This was a blast to make. TinkerCAD is not the most powerful tool, so I had to use some slick work arounds for measuring.

"Koh i Noor" sells 5.6mm LEADS , 5.6mm Charcoals , 5.6mm CHALKS to use with your clutch pencil . ALSO with colour options - Silver , Gold & White .
Well, now you have me curious. I looked up the 5.6 on Amazon and they have multicolor leads called magic. Might just have to do a video on that.
What pencil sharpener is that? 4:23
Great addition to the game! Pinsetting is near and dear to my heart. I'm so old, one of my first jobs was setting pins at the Elks club bowling lanes. We sat on a ledge behind the pins. Sometimes these drunk guys would throw the ball when we were in the pit setting up the pins! I think I spit in the guy's thumbhole 😆😂
Too bad you can't sell your game improvements to the game maker
Wouldn’t that be something?
You zoomed through the most important parts, disnt explain what you were doing when you were doing it or why.
It will stick your fingers and it takes a few days to get off. More advertising crap !!
Wow. I just not sharpened an old 0.088" drill bit! I'm Drilling holes for a wire art project! Using a dremel on small drill bits to keep Drilling many small holes into many steel washers. Truly appreciate your tutorial!
I truly appreciate your comment, Matt. Thanks.
Ha! Great hack, Mighty Mouse.
Thanks for the efforts. I came in here to check out the precise math as i was trying to buy a lot of toys for my baby and realized that they all drain pretty fast and would have to spend a lot. So essentially rechargeable is better if we want heavy use i.e roughly 2-3 days usage draining. There is one thing missing in the math in your case, the wattage of 66wh was for 2 batteries so you math needs to reduce the cost of rechargeable batteries even further.
Have you bought any of the cheap clutch pencils on ebay? Any you can recommend?
I wish I could recommend anything cheap but I don’t use eBay. The graphite in this video I am very happy with and the price is not that bad. But knowing what I know after doing these videos and lots of art, no 2 pencil creator creates the same thing. Just because it says number 2 doesn’t mean it falls within the brackets of tolerances or parameters number 2 means nothing except for what you get used to. The cheap Jot brand wood pencil at the dollar store are as good as any expensive ones in my repertoire. Thanks.
Do not use your files to sharpen your cutters, you will ruin your file.

I spent over 10 mins trying to get my spam out (never had it before) this video helped so much! I did think you had to squeeze from the short side but the pic on my can was showing longways. I legit thought I was the problem
Somehow the spam will taste even better now. Enjoy!

Outback Steakhouse!?!?! What time should I be there for dinner? 😃 Nice job. I think it's already too late for me to do my grill for this year. We've had snow flurries the past few days...
I'm only a couple minutes in and you're talking about removing a rack on your car...the bag is meant to go over the rack if needed. Hope you didn't waste your time doing that.
I’m a little slow I guess. Ya gotta have something to tie down to.
Awesome!
Awesome!
A wonderfully simple video that provides complete information for those of us who want to do this. Invaluable. I am so grateful to you for creating this video and sharing it with us!
You made my day. Thanks back atchya.
I really enjoyed your story! Your adventures are much more adventurous than mine haha! I also love how you showed the writing and sketches in progress!
I’m glad you got to see it. Thanks again for your inspiration. I have always wanted to write a young people book and have pictures and storyline. I don’t think there’s much of that done anymore. Inktober showed me how much work it would be. I just need to figure out if it’s work or if it’s fun.
@Mity_Moose I know what you mean haha. I also can't decide whether it was easier or harder having someone else set the words which guided the direction of our stories!
Lovely observations and a welcome escape from a dreary grey England. I like to think Bigfoot was sketching you! ha
I think he was. Thanks.
I don't think popsicle sticks are a very good representation of the standard usage for wood glue.
Opinion noted.
Oh, that stuff! It wasn't a couple of months since Pentel told me there was no call for darker leads outside of the 0.5mm size when I found June Gold selling 4B in 0.7 and 0.9mm. I also saw 2B in 1.3mm just the other day, but Amazon wants quite a bit for it and the off-brand Chinese bulk pack of HB I bought is more than dark enough for my purposes. I had already bought 2B and 4B leads in 2mm for my clutch pencils and the 2B pack came with two cheap lead pointers, so JG were already looking good in my eyes.
Good input!
did you giving up finishing this flute?
Thanks for asking. Life happened and flute got set back but not forgotten. I’m actually re-studying what I knew before. Contemplating a restart. :)
Will they work for epoxy as well
Try a small sample test strip. Might need a release agent. Do share findings.
Could I sharpen the cutter by angle grinder?
Wow! I suppose you could on some of it. Depends on how far the wheel can go in before hitting the other side. Plus the grinder is probably too harsh.
@Mity_Moose It is a portable 3 inch mini angle grinder with 13,500 rpm without loading. Thank you

At 69 I’m happy to be able to write, draw, paint, and etc. thanks.
This is a great hack! I purchased some AA-to-USB and AAA-to-USB adapters (they include one fake battery wired to USB for power and a bunch of dummy batteries just to full out the battery compartments) but this is a great solution for those things not located near a power outlet like on a table. Time to break out the soldering iron!
As nomads want to be, you should check out my Dcell power pack; works very well with USB charger, etc. and actually powered a little mini fridge for three hours
❤ thank you
Welcome!

Glad I finally found your other videos around the time you took apart a car usb charger to convert 9v batt to 5v. I'm glad you learned what I did: Batteries are not linear at least the ones that confused you because after using them a while, the voltage might go higher then lower then higher 😁
I like these kind of projects thanks, but big question: I don't see a video about using AAA batteries so what are you saying? There is no question that 6 AAA cells is better than the 6 cells inside that 9v battery. They simply do not have as much capacity each compared to the AAA cell. Just wondering what you are referring to? These days I switch to LiPo and LiFePO4 when possible. You could get lots of power out of the 3.2v to 3.7v cell from an old phone using a cheap DC-DC buck/boost converter (I got some from Temu)
I recently did a clean up on my non-viewed videos. It may have been one of them. The aaa battery pack was mostly useless. I now keep only my D-cell pack. It ran my camp fridge for 3 hours. Not bad.
@@Mity_Moose thanks, I'm glad this one got views (and the AA battery pack). The 8-cell AA pack is the one I've tried and it can run our Robotronics costumes pretty well even using NiMH rechargeable (keeping in mind that reduces typical voltage, and those get less capacity than Alkaline or maybe high-density lithium). I suspect something went wrong with your AAA implementation that needed troubleshooting. I'd like to try my own projects with AAA pack because it can be smaller (of course still larger than 9v), but since I use NiMH with 1.2v cells would like it to hold 10 cells and maybe 8-cell being optional.
We call them side cutters where I'm from! Online they seem to be sold under the name of diagonal pliers 🙄
Hmm! I bet it’s location/dialect related somehow.
Very useful information to know, until now I've not considered sharpening my snips. This is especially useful with expensive brands like Knipex which, whilst long lasting, they do eventually dull, so this should hopefully save a few bucks! Thanks!
Great video! I have never liked the button batteries for all the reasons you mention
We’re just a couple of old hacks havin fun.
Good video. I'm glad you're like me and changed over to rechargeable batteries.
I've been converting all of my battery powered ornaments to dc adapter. It's easy to do and they don't Peter out. Save your adapters.😉
Good tip!
Great video. Do you know what is the weight capacity on the bike? And how much does the bike weigh?
There is no known weight limit that I know of. I’m 295. Started riding at 320. I’ll have to get back with you on the bikes weight.
Oh, now i'm wondeing if you could use this kind of popper to make special popcorn recipies like carmel cor.
Ohhh. I just heatd you say it's a Westbend "srir crazy".
What kind of popcorn popper are you using?

Thanks for the video, I'm curious if there's a difference in smell of the finished molds?
Welcome Brian. Both molds are silicone and have no smell after it cures.
You have reached the point of no return my friend.

Great video...I didn't know that the Pilot V7 was waterproof. You might want to look at Platinum Carbon Black ink for your fountain pens.... waterproof ! I find that my Lamy Safari dries up the quickest...seems to be that it should be used every day or every other day to avoid problems with drying. What has worked for me is the Platinum Prefonte fountain pen....it has that internal sealing cap that lets me go for weeks without using the pen and it writes perfectly when I use it again... I do enjoy my Lamy pens but now just use favorite one (AL STAR) as my every day writer with Lamy blue ink.....Thanks for the videos !
Great comment. Thanks! I will look into both of your recommendations.
Nice use of the cutoff tool! Helped me a lot!
Glad it helped!
