    I was honestly blown away with how close the prices were on a new block. Great find!

      Yeah it was a little crazy, and I almost bought a used one. I was about to call and put my money down and I just decided to call the dealer for S's and G's. Worked out.

    Hey man, fellow TH-camr and big videogrophy hobbyist here. I have a suggestion for you, please don't take it the wrong way as the art and individuality of videography is the indivuals expression of themselves.
    I just wanted to say that frame orientation flip you've got going on where it simulates mirroring an image is pretty disorienting. That's just my opinion though, and I do have a headache right now so it could be contributing to my experience 😅 but it was literally making me dizzy. I had to stop the video for a second and figured I'd say something to offer some unsolicited suggestions lol i definitely dig the video though

      No worries my man. I’m always up for some constructive criticism. I tried it on this one just to see if I like it. But I think on a similar video I’ll just punch in or something instead of flipping. I haven’t done it since because it wasn’t my favorite effect lol.

      This was a new engine from Ford. I have heard recently that they are on back order, but I think you can get a reman engine from ford. Still get the same warranty I believe.

    I just bought a 100k mile Coyote and once I was ready to line up the flex-plate to the torque converter, I couldn't turn the crank more than a half turn, I also removed the plugs, still doesn't do a full turn. The old engine was running before I took it out because it was leaking oil every where and one cylinder was drowning in oil if left sitting to long, and it also won't do a full turn.
    It did do a full turn when I disconnected the torque converter, but now it won't do even a 1/4 turn. anybody got any ideas as to what might be wrong?

    • @MikeTW
      @MikeTW  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well if it will turn over without the torque converter attached I would say it’s not in the engine. Has to be something in the transmission or something. Do the easy stuff, make sure you’re in neutral and the parking brake is off.

      @@MikeTW I've pulled the motor back out, still won't make a full turn, I'm going to scope the intake ports, something may have falling in and hanging up a valve.

    • @rjgarciasr

      @@MikeTW I think you meant that the torque converter not being disconnected to the engine eliminates the transmission as a cause. The truck was running and driving before replacing the engine.
      Yesterday I video scoped the intake ports and the cylinders and found 2 cylinders holding water, and 2 with a large rust build up on the low side of the cylinders. After removing the water, I added mystery oil to all of them and let them sit for a day.

    • @rjgarciasr
      @rjgarciasr 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So the mystery oil did the trick. The engine is now free to turn full rotations.
      Thanks, for the help.

      @@rjgarciasr Glad you got it sorted. I was on a work trip the past few days, so it has been hard to check my messages. If the engine was outside and got some water in the cylinders that explains it.

    Who would’ve thought a new engine from Ford would be such a deal considering how much used crap goes for?? I bet most people don’t even think to look at a dealer for a new engine.

    • @MikeTW
      @MikeTW  ปีที่แล้ว

      It just occurred to me to call them after I couldn't wrap my head around that Ford had discontinued a version of an engine that was still being mass produced. Turned out they hadn't discontinued it. Who woulda thought.
