Why are some gen 1 engine covers different left and right side dont have the cutout for that hose?

I have a 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 147,000 miles on it and still going strong and its a beast and it sounds like a beast with the Borla ATAK exhaust on it.

What about the supposed 2014 mustangs with gen 2 motors? Same way of telling with the dip stick tube extension and valve covers?

You have to check the intake holes on the heads, it’s not a full motor just the heads.

The technical “best” engine, is the Gen 2 according to most people and tuners who want to make big boy power. For anything like a bolt on motor in a swap all of them are great, but I’d still trust the Gen 2 over anything.

Yes, a lot of folks prefer GEN II, the direct injection seems to turn off builders.

@@FoxcastMedia it’s too complicated tuning wise from what I understand. A lot of the fastest ones seem to be Gen 2 or Gen 3 with the DI removed

who else has issues with their cam phase sprokets on the 5.0? can you change these on a 5.0 without taking the front cover off?

Would you be able to put a gen 3 motor on a new edge or what would you recommend?

Great content, really can't go wrong with all three, but if the funds are available the choice would be gen.3 of course
but i think you really can't go wrong with any coyote. Great information and classroom work Bud, a big thumbs up.

Doesn’t the gen 3 have port injection and direct injection (dual injection) which can support a lot more power and for a lot cleaner intake valves since you have benefits of the direct injection and port injection spraying extra fuel over back of valves? Started in 18 when they bumped up to 460 hp which would make sense why it has a hpfp as well. Not that it’s a big deal but because of increasing emission standards the 2022 and beyond lost 10hp/tq btw
In a perfect world I would have kept my Fox and retro-fitted a Coyote into it with all new suspension, drivetrain and tech. Love the videos as always.
