Very recently, the full schedule planned for the launch of MeTV Toons has been revealed and it is incredible! A whopping total of 45 shows will be airing on the channel, featuring cartoons from the silent era all the way up until the early 2000’s! There’s some concern about the shows that were announced earlier in May not being included on the schedule and that is because they cannot air every single show at once, as it would clutter the channel. Rather they will rotate shows on a regular basis and the lineup will be a bit more varied after around 6 months.
Also during the middle part of the video, I go on a tangent about why CN Studios shows that are currently not airing on either Cartoon Network nor Checkered Past should air on MeTV Toons. Not just that, but Adult Swim’s Checkered Past block has been playing it too safe rather than going all out. No matter what, I’m very hyped for MeTV Toons to launch and become available in my area! It will be revolutionary for over-the-air television.

MeTV Toons should air in the future Teletubbies as well as shows from qubo like: Jane and the Dragon, Turbo Dogs, Pearlie, Archie's Weird Mysteries, Rescue Heroes, Sally Bollywood, Artzooka, Taste Buds, Timeblazers, Safari Tracks, Sandra, Famous 5, Funniest Pets & People, etc.
Nah, most of those are either too recent or too kiddie for MeTV Toons. Only shows that would make sense to air are Archie and Rescue Heroes
I agree with you completely that cable is on the way out, we're dropping it in our home soon. Not only is streaming growing in momentum (plenty free options out there to choose from) but as you said over the air antenna continues to improve and this channel is a definite step in that direction. I hope I have MeTV Toons in my area it looks so great and has so much potential in the future.

This is genuinely exciting that there's a new channel to play classic animated shows that haven't been on the air for decades at this point. I hope this contributes to giving these cartoons new life among Gen Z and... whatever the next generation is called (alpha?). It's a shame MeTV Toons doesn't seem to be in the Atlanta area based on that chart you shared.
Regardless, I'm thrilled for everyone that'll get to enjoy this!
Finally a cartoon channel that can be viewed by lower income families. Nobody should have to suffer through the boredom that is PBS

I think it's because that cartoon would be considered offensive these days in these post "Me too movement" times where women call out predatory behavior with men. I think that stupid. The character is hilarious.
They will get to those. Right now it's starting off with cartoons from the 1940s-1970s.

Great CN show from the 1990s. I still prefer the first season design of Johnny Bravo characters.

I'm not sold on all of the variations of Alf, Bible Stories, and the different puppet shows. The rest looks OK hopefully when the HB cartoons are restored there will be more of them and less of what I listed on

I hope ME-TV Toons airs in the future: Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Filmation's Archie/Sabrina/Groovie Goolies cartoons, the DIC library (including Heathcliff 1984, Dennis the Menace 1986, Super Mario Bros., Captain N, and the Sonic the Hedgehog trilogy of AOSTH, Sat AM, and Underground), and maybe for late nights some 1970's and 1980's live action kid shows - including Hanna-Barbera's Banana Splits and Korg: 70, 000 B.C., Filmation's live action shows (Shazam!, Space Academy, Ark II, and Jason of Star Command),shows from the Krofft library (H.R. Pufnstuf, Lidsville, Land of the Lost, Far Out Space Nuts, and the Krofft Supershow with Kaptain Kool and the Kongs), and even Pee-Wee's Playhouse and Hey Vern, It's Ernest! It would also be great if Me-TV Toons got the rights to the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show and the Peanuts animated TV specials (Would you like ME-TV Toons to show the Charlie Brown holiday specials - especially A Charlie Brown Christmas?)

It comes down to being avalable and with Hulu having Animaniacs at the moment and Tiny Tooons Looniversiry tieing up the other, it may be a while before there open again.

Such a shame that Disney's gotta be a stick in the mud. They have Disney+ and Hulu, yet don't take full advantage of it. At this point, we will never have legal means to watch shows such as Crusader Rabbit and the Fox Kids library. I know that Transformers fans are still upset at them for having the original Robots in Disguise collect dust, and never to be re-released ever again.
Pretty sad, for real. The way Disney treats the older shorts and some of their classic cartoons (not even House of Mouse is on D+ at all) is saddening. I'd be extremely happy if they bring back Toon Disney as a block on Disney XD which, well, airs classic cartoons again.

@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Which is disappointing. Even worse is that the Disney Treasures DVD sets are long out of print, and only a handful of those shorts made it to Disney+. Seriously, how could a leading animation studio treat those classic shorts like that?

What, no Bugaloos? I bought the LP in 1970 (at age 7): "Castles in the Air." Scary that I remember that.
While I'm glad MeTV Toons will launch soon, I'm still sad with how Disney has treated their classic cartoons. (*cough cough* where is House of Mouse) They could have used Disney+ and Hulu as their go-to platforms to let us fans watch such animated classics, yet... some older DTVA series are not on neither of those services, and only a handful of classic shorts are available. This may sound insane and (maybe impossible) to some, but I'd like to see Toon Disney being relaunched as a DXD block that airs classics again. I just can't stand them being kept in the vault any longer.
Yeah , I agree . That'll be nice if Disney brought back Toon Disney as a retro block . Look what happened to CN ? They brought back Toonami afternoons on Fridays & still airs Toonami on Saturday nights ( early Sunday mornings) . So ...yeah...CN did it , Disney should do it too .If they had a heart for those hard-to-find classics there still in the vault .
Disney could have ran their whole Disney channel lineups from the 80s on Disney+ as well, which includes their original movies
For now, piracy is the way to go! Funny how that you get a better experience and library just for $0 a month! The quality can be iffy at times, but at least it's readily available.

If we can't get access to those classic TV shows easily through legal means, then it's time we let Disney (and other major companies) know that what they are doing are for nothing by pirating shows! There starting good, though there is a lot of anounced stuff is not there, though what I hope is the plan is to have shows rotate in and out, more so for shows that are not long to keep them from being overplayed at any time.
I suspect some of the ones in the pictures will either be part of some catch all block, like inside their “cartoon all stars”

Gadget being on the network makes me wonder about the possibility of the rest of WildBrain's catalogue being available. I could see them using The Littles, The Busy World Of Richard Scarry, The Charlie Brown And Snoopy Show or Madeline to fill an E/I slot.

I'd like to see overnight superhero shorts, such as Hanna-Barbera's Space Ghost, The Herculoids, Dino Boy in the Lost Valley, Mightor, Moby Dick, Shazzan, Birdman, The Galaxy Trio, Young Samson, Frankenstein Jr., The Impossibles, Astro and the Space Dogs, Teen Force, Ruby-Spears' Mighty Man and Yukk, Space Ace, Filmation's D.C Heroes, DePatie-Freleng's Super 6, Super President, Spy Shadow, Max Fleisher's Superman shorts, etc. in addition to Looney Tunes' Super Rabbit with Bugs Bunny or Duck Dodgers with Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, something along those lines!!!

Hopefully some old Adult Swim shows can appear on MeTv Toons like Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law, Space Ghost coast to coast. The Brak Show and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. And put them on late at night.
They probably can't do that due to FCC regulations. Even then, they would have to get the rights to those shows

Imagine if Codename KND, Teen Titans, Megas XLR, ect. got continuations? Imagine if Kitty Bobo got more than just a pilot? New shows would be cool to see too! Indie cartoons that hit it big on TH-cam could air on TV via MeTV Toons and get more exposure.

I noticed that one of my favourite shows the real ghostbusters are on that schedule too! I think metv toons are trying to make the show to stay on the air like nickelodeon did with spongebob.

Speaking of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends and The Underdog Show, They'll think about airing a Animated Cartoon Series [Short-Lived] that alot of People haven't seen in a very Long Time, like (the Series) George of the Jungle (1967) , from Jay Ward. :)

Honestly, as much as I'd love to see them on this channel, I'm not too surprised about the lack of Disney shorts, given that Disney and WB are direct competitors and all. However, I still wish that Disney would just air their classic shorts on TV in general. If Cartoon Network and Boomerang have been able to air classic Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry years now, then surely there's no reason for Disney Channel to not do the same thing.
I like that Me TV toons is a new thing but it’s sad that it has to replace what old Boomerang used to do
The weird question is what they do with the "Toonami" ripoff stuff for the anime choices- it's unlikely they get any newer series on the show, but Speed Racer and Marine Boy proves they'll work with different anime licensors [and there's some dealing in exclusively older series that could be interesting gets.]

@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Not only that, but even assuming just series that were big in the 20th century in the US need apply, you have examples like "the Harmony Gold situation thawed enough for Funimation to maker a DVD release, so they might actually stand a chance at getting Robotech". This doesn't even consider if they'd take a chance at something like Ranma 1/2 or another series with an older dub.
Since they got Histeria I hope they get Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures and Detention.

I got the Boomerang app and was at first delighted with it - till things were dropped, and weird changes like 'Yogi's Ark Lark' going from the original 'movie' format to just being the re-edit they showed on the series 'Yogi's Gang'. Long story short, if Me TV toons is all that, I am quickly cancelling Boomerang App.
The Boomerang app is missing too much content. Those piracy sites are your best bet.
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews Whoever thought anyone wanted that Wizard Of Oz adaptation over say, Filmation's lesser library or H-B adventure shows? Again, when they started, they had the Jack and The Beanstalk hybrid animation, Alice in Wonderland H-B, and I was delighted to see Season 9 of Smurfs, long gone from syndie. But now, even at 40 USD/Year, it is not worth it.

There in the United States they are going to put a new classics channel, Me TV Toons, here in Latin America the only classic animation channel is Tooncast but it has a very limited programming and is on few cable operators, here they should also put a classic animation channel
Tooncast has the same problem that Boomerang has here in the US, that being very few cable operators offering the channel and it being on the more expensive tier

I love that this is happening, just wished the reach was better. the nearest one to me launching is 108 Miles away and the only way to pick them up is a DX Antenna. other than that cant wait.
What is a DX Antenna?
@@ArtieRaccoonReviews its an outdoor roof antenna where it can pick up Stations outside of a major area. They were originally designed for picking up stations in more rural areas or from a nearby City. If set up right this can also boost its signal across from 100+ miles to across another state. Problem is they're $300.
Sadly where I live, they don't allow antennas or satellite dishes outside of windows. Thankfully I live 40 miles from the nearest capital city, so it shouldn't be too difficult

I Hope They Even Air The Garfield Specials Which are Garfield's Halloween Adventure, Here Comes Garfield, Garfield on the Town, Garfield's Feline Fantasies, Garfield in Paradise, Garfield in the Rough, A Garfield Thanksgiving, A Garfield Christmas, Garfield's Babes and Bullets, Garfield Gets A Life and Garfield: His 9 Lives.
Viacom/CBS owns the Garfield cartoon series and special rights, same for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Paramount Global owns Paws Inc, so it is unlikely that Garfield will be added

Who knows both Boomerang and the Cartoon Network has no reason to exist.

The local owners of the subchannel affiliates still reserve the right to run alternate local programming as needed which tebd to be paid advertising or events bumped down due to conflict on the main channel the subchannels have space on. That explains the disclaimer in fine print on the schedule (on most channeis)
My local MeTV affiliate doesn't do this, however its mostly channels like MyNetworkTV that run infomercials. Do we really need a 17th shopping channel that is somehow not obsolete yet?

I think they will be eventually. They were on the channel's website before they updated it.

Huckleberry Hound will come later, but they can't air Quick Draw McGraw because they can't get the rights to the music that is used in the show (since 2006).
