I made mine today using both the written pattern and this video, and I love it SO much. This was so fun to make, and so much easier and more enjoyable with not having anything to sew on, making it feel like I’d be doing more sewing than actual crocheting. @@wam0357 failed, so miserably. Re started like 5 times and gave up, since then I've made a few great things, including a t-rex, an adorable giraffe and so many chocolate orange covers for Christmas haha

Could you go in more detail for attaching the hump and the neck? I’ve watched the video and read the pattern but I’m still confused :(
The pattern from Etsy is quite unclear at some points, and occasionally I literally just had to guess what the heck i was supposed to do, and try things over and over and over again until it looked even remotely similar to what it was supposed to look like. Many times i got frustrated to the point of almost just throwing my Dino to the wall...
It's obviously a cute pattern, and clearly it isn't from the easiest end, i understand that. But many parts could've been explained better.

Haven’t crocheted in a year or so. I bought the pattern off of Etsy and it was pretty easy to understand, but this video was so helpful! I wouldn’t call myself a beginner and I’ve done several amigurumi projects before. Many people say this is their first amigurumi project, and I’m surprised because I don’t think this is a beginner pattern. But best of luck to you! I’d recommend this to people who have more amigurumi experience. No sew patterns can be difficult to follow. My dinos came out super cute!

Amazing pattern. No sewing gives it a seamless look. Not for beginners but it is also not difficult😻 made it in two sizes you can use any yarn and any hook!!

I made one with 9 mm chunky very soft yarn with a 6mm hook and it was so perfect!! Much bigger and huggable, I loved it
why did you use a 6mm hook? i was going to make a version of this with the chunky yarn as well.

The pattern is confusing and doesnt give enough detail in some spots. The video goes too fast and you dont show all the steps slowly enough for anyone to actually compare what they are doing vs what you are showing. I'm so frustrated with this pattern, I'm ready to throw it in the garbage and start over. A slower moving video with pauses to show each step would be really helpful.

@@6jc15w я вязала по видео, не слушая описания, небольшой опыт в вязании есть. Если не торопиться, то всё получится. На моментах вывязывания брюшка, пришлось несколько раз распустить, пока я поняла как надо. Просто дочка увидела этого дино в тиктоке и попросила связать. Это единственное видео, именно такого бронтозавра.

I bought this pattern and i had so much trouble with the hump i think it’s the wording of it all if i knew there was a video i would’ve followed it with the pattern.
For the neck and head do you need to have a different ball of yarn or do you cut the working yarn from the start of the body to make the magic ring?
The later is correct. You cut the working yarn from the hump. Then start making the head and neck 👍

So glad you like it! I typically use a 3.5mm hook with worsted weight yarn, but feel free to use whatever works best for you so that the stuffing doesn't show through. All the best!

Hi im following the written pattern and I’m confused on the head and neck. For R2 it says “1 increase in each”. Does that mean I do 6 increases to make the total stitch count 12?

Yes, the pattern should still work with a thicker yarn and larger hook!
Going off the written pattern and this video I’m not sure what I am doing wrong but the inc don’t line up to the curves once I get to the second round. Are your number of stitches wrong on the written pattern??
the increases might look a little offset, but once it's all put together, it should work out!

Hi, I bought the written pattern a couple of years ago but the instructions are to fasten off the head/neck and then work on the hump, joining from hump to neck (which is a bit tricky and not always successful). Is there an update available for the pattern with this new join method? Love the finished product.

I'm getting holes on the first row of the tail/legs directly across from where the 'side strand' is as there seems to be more space between stitches. Also when I go to start the second row and go into the first stitch I am also getting a noticeable hole. I've redone it a few times and I can' seem to make the holes disappear. I was wondering if anyone had any tips? Is that just how it is supposed to be? Also my legs seem to be pointing straight out🥴

Yes! continue working in the round making you way around the neck first, and then the body.

How did you connect the neck to the body?
Im a bit stumped. The last row of your neck finishes off on the right side yet mine finishes on the left (this is with the face facing forward). Did i do something wrong 😟
It's generally personal preference, but there is what is commonly referred to as the "right side" and the "wrong side" of amigurumi. The stiches on the "right side" will look more like V's where as the "wrong side" will have vertical bars. For the most part, it won't make a difference in patterns, except things might look a little backwards. Try flipping the piece so the "right side" faces outward!
I’m confused on the tail. Do we continue the same thing u did in the very beginning or just continue th normal stitches cause mines not working out

Hi, I was wondering what kind of technique you used for the hump and how you ended the the hump?
The hump starts as an oval. I have a video going more in depth on the technique here. th-cam.com/video/AQNciBG0Ke0/w-d-xo.html. When your done with the hump, slst into the next stitch, cut the yarn end, and pull through to fasten off.

But Iv started a new one and my mind is baffled because when I got to attaching the head to the back I realized my work was wrong and that I had been crocheting from the inside to the outside (do you know what I mean?) I don’t know how I have managed this because I wasn’t able to attach the back piece… because I’d have to flip my work to crochet outside to inside and then I’d be crocheting as if left handed… I’m really confused, I don’t know what I did wrong! Iv now started the head again and the same thing is happening! I want my work to curl upwards but it’s curling downward

How can I do the same but bigger?
Use a thicker yarn and a bigger hook. I used 9mm yarn and a 6mm hook and my dino ended up being about 1ft wide, more of a plushie size.
I’m sorry but I didn’t find this video that helpful because one second you were doing one thing and then your done with it I am sorry but you nailed this so maybe can you consider making a tutorial for beginners or like a step by step one but you are amazing on what you do!🥺❤️
