For those struggling to figure out how to make it look strait just adjust row 26 but keep the rest of the rows the same. Row 26: 5 sc, (sc, inc) x5, 10 sc (30)
just made three of these for some friends and i love them! I especially love the minimal sewing needed lol- just a tip for anyone starting it, make the legs and tail first, as well as cut a strand (like 4-5 inches) to sew the body closed later. If you only have one skein of the color you're using, this makes it so you don't need to tie off your body before it's done to make and attach the tail.
Yes definitely!! Or if you forget, just pull from the middle of the yarn or you can even sew the tail on and back shut once you’ve finished the entire rest of the dinosaur!
Finally! An adorable dinosaur. I roll my yarn into cakes so I can pull from the outside or inside of the cake without having to cut the yarn. Makes for easy transitions. Only critique, maybe speak a little slower. Sometimes I have to rewind several times to understand what you are saying.
I have just made one for myself and now going to be making a personalised one for each of my family for their birthdays. Thank you for making the tutorial so clear to follow and making this video for everyone to follow
omg!!!!!! i’ve searched for AGES to find a free dinosaur pattern!!! some of us don’t have the money to pay for one pattern for 5 dollars 😭 i’ll be making this soon, thank you so much!!!
This was the first pattern I worked from literally the ground up. I used acrylic yarn and a size 3.5 hook so way smaller but think it is actually the best I have made so far. So glad you includes the pattern written along with the video.
I just did a whale. That's the only thing I've ever made but it's so cute! Your comment gives me confidence to try 🦕 10 days til Vday. I want to give it to my teenage daughter in purple 🥰
I crochet a lot of items for babies and young children, this method of one piece, plus the tail, is much more practical and even safer for young children! Your videos are so pleasant to follow!
This is such a brilliant tutorial, you made it very easy to understand and not over complicate things, as I’ve struggled with amigurumi in the past. Thank you for this amazing tutorial.
Thanks for the tutorial, especially for the text, it was easy to follow instructions without need to constantly scroll back and listen to what exactly you're doing and how many times. Keep going!
I loved this tutorial, im a beginner and this dinosaur was the second amigurumi plush I have ever made. It was easy to follow, although I messed up quite a few times due to forgetting how many stitches id done and it took me 2 days but it still turned out almost identical to yours. Despite the slight imperfections in mine, I absolutely love it. I cant wait to try out more of your tutorials :D
@@rayanbalfour7791 I used the Cygnet Jelly Baby Chunky in the colour Mint, 100g and 120 meters. I also used a size 6mm hook I think, though 0.5mm either side of that should be fine. One skein was enough for me, you possibly could have had a go at making a second with the leftover, but I havent tried so I cant guarentee it. I would suggest using Bernat Blanket yarn instead though as it has a nicer feel and has a 'fuller' yarn if that makes any sense?.. I hope this was somewhat helpful, have fun and good luck with your crocheting :)
I just made this as a birthday gift for my partner and it came out so cute! The tutorial was pretty easy to follow along, especially since it wasn't a beginner pattern. Just in case anyone else was wondering about this, I did it with much smaller yarn and hook; 4 weight yarn and a 5.5 mm hook, and it came out to about 8 inches tall!

such a good tutorial!! i only work with more "regular" sized yarn, weight 4 usually, and was worried the dimensions wouldnt work out but it was perfect! i love my lil dino!! this was only my second time doing an amigurumi pattern, i make blankets and bags and such, and this one was SO much better than that first pattern - especially with telling me when and showing where to put in the eyes!
I finally got around to making mine tonight and it turned out super cute! And I have to say, you did a great job with this tutorial. Very clear and easy to follow, it was the first one I've ever watched that I didn't get lost or frustrated even once. Thank you so much!

Same happened to me so what I did after I unpicked is that, before starting the actual row of attaching the legs, I counted around and marked where the three stitches for each leg start and end. I used a different yarn to mark all four legs. That way as I was stitching around I could see where each foot has to start and end. It's easy to go into the wrong stitches when there's a foot in the way.
