The cone head
The colour change, cone head, magic ring all of them basically!!! you are a life saver!!🥺❤️
@@mo0dymax329 yay!! So glad they were helpful☺️
@@reigningcharmzgirlypop I can’t chain 😭 I’m crying in the floor again
@@reigningcharmz the cone head and the color changing :p
The cone head literally almost had me giving up on amigarumi completely, I never understood why it looked that way!! So glad I know now I can give this a try❤
Awesome! I’m so glad it was helpful!☺️
Me too! I almost quit on amigurumi because of that! This video is very helpful.
I was having that same problem, I could not figure out how to fix that, thank you so much!
I have literally never seen anyone color change like that...my mind is blown! That is just incredible and it will make such a difference with the look of my amigurumis! Thank you so much!!
Absolutely! So glad I could help!☺️
Thanks❤
I seen it on a lot of vids lately. I don't like it.
@@amyfreeze9772 Yes, there are many ways to do things in crochet. Which method do you prefer, if not this colour changing?
I haven't found one I like that much, but this one seems so much more complicated then others. I love and shared all the other ideas.❤
as someone new to velvet yarn, these were SO helpful! especially the cone head tip! thank you :)
I have seen so many people say they can help with color change but don’t actually show the seem at the end and when attempting myself it never works. Thank you so much for this!
The color change CHANGED MY LIFE! All the bees need to be made now so that I can perfect this method.
another tip for chenille yarn use a regular stranded yarn to make the magic ring and then put your chenille yarn stitches in to the ring, when you pull it closed it will be invisible
The cone head tip I learned a while ago but I wish I learned sooner. Depending on tension and yarn thickness you can start round 1 with 8 or 9 too if 12 makes it wavy
I do eight as my go to lol
The color changing method changed my life as a 13 yr old crocheter💖
As a younger crocheting I understand to not say my age but I hope u the best
As a 61 year old crocheter with over 50 years under my belt I truly hope you stick with it.
Oh yes!! The bunny I made yesterday has a pointed head..thank you for all of the tips
The color change was AMAZING.
I have arthritis in both hands and yarning under gets very painful rather quickly. I had no idea but found out in a hurry.
The conehead magic ring tip is priceless for me!!! Thanks so much!!!
The cone head one!! I've been struggling with that for weeks and I could not understand what I did wrong! I will try your way tonight and see if it makes a difference.
Exactly what I have been looking for!! I have made a bunch of cone head Octos and have been looking for a tutorial to fix them!! This is perfect. Thank you!!
Yay I’m glad!☺️
can u explain it more? im abit lost..
@@dksnhbpghhadd more stitches into the magic ring, so that the stitches end up the same amount as they would’ve after the second round
@@frogaroo alright thank you smm
Omg I literally came to this video because I JUST finished making an octo plushie with a cone head 😂😂
That is the easiest and best color change I have ever seen most are too confusing or too much work and not worth the trouble THANK YOU!!!!!
Yay! So glad it helped! ☺️
Someone in a reply to a comment said it was complicated. They have to be new to crocheting because it's actually so simple.
THANK YOU FOR THE TIP OF THE VELVET YARN!! im a beginner of 3-6 days of crocheting and i was learning how to close the magic circle with velvet yarn but it just wouldn't budge.. but when i saw that this video had tips of the velvet yarn on magic circle, i watched it and i got it!! tysm ily
Thank you for the tips regarding the rounded head vs. pointed head, the color change, and the yo vs. yu; all very helpful. But I would like to mention to anyone who is new to amigurumi that the Magic Ring is much better to use once mastered because then you don’t have an obvious hole that the alternative has, which can result in the stuffing coming out of your project.
OOO that's so much easier color change and looks good!
New to crochet! And that color change was BEAUTIFUL!
Obsessed with these bright orange nails! Especially against the pastel yellow yarn also thanks for the tips. Def helped me figure out how to have a fatter top of the head in amigurumi
Thank you so much for helping me figure out how to reduce the conehead look
I'm a new crocheter thank you sooooo much for the how to not do a pointy head! I was struggling lol😊
The color changing method just blew my mind!!
Loved this video!!! Very helpful and informative!!! especially the cone head and the color change!!! Beyond amazing!
THANK YOU!!
Yay so glad you liked it!☺️
The color change and cone prevention!!! GENIUS!!!
I love these tricks omg they were all helpful especially the magic circle and the color change.
Wow excellent tips I've never seen before. Ive been crocheting for many years, but not amigurumi. The yarn under the or tighter stitches & joining rows with a color change were new to me - brilliant. Ty for sharing.
You are a wonderful teacher & gifted crafter. Thank you for sharing your insights. I want to try to color change as seamless as you did ❤. Keep sharing great ideas! Thank you!!
Thank you so much . I love all the tips especially the color change one❤
Thank you! I can't wait to try the colour change technique!
The cone head and the color change. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing these tricks! I’ve not been crocheting very long and ALL of your methods help me crochet better as I have run into all of these problems. My little creatures look ever so much cuter now!
I just saw your channel and I am so glad I did. I due amigurumi and somewhat new at it. I love the color change technique . I will watch and practice all the techniques shown especially the yarn over vs. yarn under. Thank you!
Great tips! I am going to try the color change. I was doing something similar but the final step of moving ahead one stitch I wasn't doing. Thanks so much!
You highlighted every tip I was looking for. Thank you for explaining it so well!
What an excellent video. Putting all these great tips we all struggle with in one video and well explained! Thank you!😊
Your colour change technique is great! I had never seen anyone do it like that I’ll definitely try it next time! Great videos, keep up the good work! 😋✨
Wonderful tips! I can’t wait to try your color change method. Love getting rid of the cone head. Magic ring with chenille yarn gives me fits and I use the alternate method but will definitely try again using your tip.
Thank you so much!!! I was always curious about number 5. When I first started amiagrumi I was thought yarn over I need to practice with yarn under more. And the head shape hack! Genius! I don’t like how all my plushies I’ve made have cone heads 😅
Omg I am going to totally try the color change!
Great,great tip for flatten first round!thank you🎉
This is helpful on colour change i have never got my changed colour even until watching this t.y 🥰

Wow. Thank you ❤
All amazing tips, so thank you so much! The ones that helped me the most were: the pattern one 2:26, and the color changing one 3:44! Again thank you so much for the tips, this video really helped me. ❤

😭😭 I wish this video was available last year! I made a plushie for my daughter (thankfully she loves it) but I couldn't get the head to not be a cone for the life of me! Lol. I will definitely be saving this video for future projects. Thank you! 🩷
Great tips...😊
Oh, wow! Recently I couldn't understand why, even though I am doing the exact same patterns, they turn out smaller. I changed my crochet process from yarn over to yarn under! Now I know! I almost got razy here the last couple of days. Hahaha. Thanks so much for sharing this! All of them are very useful tips! If you know more useful informations it would be really helpful to share them with us! I used so many exclamation marks in this comment, oopsie
Haha I’m so glad you found it helpful! I definitely plan to do another video so stay tuned!☺️

I subscribed I'm so excited to see and learn new ways

Yay! So glad to have you join!☺️
omg thank u so muchhhhh
Omg i love the way you changed the colour. It looks so seemless. Could put that part as a short? So it'd be easier to access. Thanks anyway ❤❤
I find doing a magic ring pretty easy but I will always do the chain method one for any fluffy or strange yarn.
Si me sirvió mucha gracia 😊
Me quedaban los monitos con la cabeza de pico y no sabía como arreglarlo
Mucha gracia ❤
OMG TYSM FOR THIS!!! SUCH A LIFE SAVER!!!!!!!! JUST SUBSCRIBED :))
Thank u !!!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This helped me so much because I am a beginner and I didn’t know that it was going to be hard to work with velvet yarn😭
thank u so muchhhhh
It also looks like yarn under helps to keep the rounds/rows straight, and easier to count. Which is the issue I am struggling with.
My stitches look so messy.
But I have also only been doing this for less then a week, and I have only made two very small things. So I know I will get better in time.
These tips I am sure will help. I will try to follow them.
Genius! 🤓
Oh my goodness!!!! I never have seen anyone give the Technique to make a Round looking Head for an Amigurumi instead of that cone shape!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for that tip…..I just finished my second 🐻 Bear and wish I knew this trick but now I will definitely follow your tip……and while I have seen the way to keep the new color on the same line, your visual instruction was the best!!!!!!!!! Now would you post some videos on how you attach parts of an animal Amigurumi???? I would love to see your version…. talking about attaching the head, arms and legs……. I like your style of doing things and you are easy to follow……👏🏻👏🏻🥰 ty
Aw yay! So glad it helped, and I can definitely try to do a video like that!☺️
@@reigningcharmz ty will look forward to seeing it….
tysm i love you so much rn
This was seriously an amazing video, thank you sooo much! BTW I am new working with plush yarn and I find it quite hard to find each stich cause it's all so fluffy and messy, is there any tip so that I can easily figure each stich and not miss any!? ?
Nope…. I’ve never seen a colour change like that before. Amazing.
(Have subscribed 👍)
Yay! Glad to have you join!☺️
Im doung a bear for first time and my head is a cone head so thank you for that!!!
I hope you have a video about counting stitches especially in amigurumi. After the slip stitch and chain 1, i don't know where to start counting
ver good tips,,skip first row and colour changes ..thanx
Ohhhhh I thought I do the color change the wrong way but I do it correctly lol
The plush yarns.
Omg the cone head drives me so mad thank u
0:54 I had to use this form of the magic ring for the velvet yarn I’m using. I’ll never buy velvet yarn again it’s awful. 2:22 I’ll definitely try this when I make my second antler and hope it works.
Thank you so much for this!! All the tips were so helpful!! I do have a question - what size hook were you using for the velvet yarn? I’m new to crocheting with it, and frustrated trying to use the recommended large hook (size n or p)
I usually use anywhere from a 5mm hook to 7mm hook depending on the project☺️ for the smaller mini plushies, it’s usually a 5 mm hook
The solution to the cone head is so simple i love it. The yarn over and under when you demoed the yarn under you yarned under the first time but then to pull the yarn through the loops you yarned over. Was that on purpose or was that a mistake? All the other tutorials I've seen yarn under both times so I was wondering.
That’s a great question! When I learned the difference between the two, it was the first part that was different, but then you always yarned over to pull through the loops on both methods. I’m not sure if it makes a difference to do yarn under on both the first and the second part. I’ll have to test it out for the next video!
The under over I would have to train my Brian to do that one I was wondering about that on
I can’t wait to try the cone head variation, I’ve been making octopuses this week. But my question is, do we just add a row to the non increase rounds to keep the height of the head/body the same?
I believe you can just keep going as normal, and it’ll be pretty much the same☺️
I have a question about the cone head. How do you deal with the row count being off if you start with "row 2?" I have every intention of trying this, but just wondered if that would cause problems. Also, I LOVE that color change trick. I've seen part of it, but not all of it. Thanks for the very clear explanation.
So I think the best way is to just be very careful and count the rows going forward, so basically every row it says in the pattern you’d just subtract 1 to correspond to the row you’re actually on if that makes sense☺️
I love the cone head tip, but wouldnt that make it 2 rounds shorter? What do you do when you put eyes?
Leave the magic ring what I do is make a long chain then start rolling it in a circle and crocheting it together ones a ball shape is there I stuff it and make the eyes that how I crochet my plush
