Lol I wish that was that easy. Here is my answer what if while you sleeping one phone cut off?? What if the video stop playing??? What if a phone battery died and you was sleeping and you can't get the time it died. Do you see where I'm going with this. I DON'T FAKE THIS. If I'm going to do a real life battery test I'm going to do it right. Unfortunately I'm not like other TH-camrs I'm different I'm real if I'm going to do it I'm doing it right. @@TheTechPreacher he is just asking you to do the battery drain test on the smartphones with the screen blocked because Exynos versions and different types of SD's has differente battery drainage while the screen is blocked

I'm more impressed about the LG v60 taking the time than the one in the actual test! Gives you a more realistic expectation of the battery life in a day to day basis! At least for me, because I rarely used my device with the brightness at 100% neither I stream that much!

V60 is the new batt king but about the g8 it has the smallest battery of them but its still more than enough its still good... Btw can you make some lowlight camera comparison between v60 & G8?

Really enjoyed this video and though I'm late late on catching it, I can gladly say I'm super-glad I was still able to my LG V60 with the dual screen case recent as I did. I wanted to give it so much time before I decided and needless to say, I have no regrets in doing so. So far, so good. And this device has me going to it as my daily driver over my other expensive devices - my Oneplus 8 pro and 9 pro, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and S21 Ultra and S10 Plus, my Google Pixel 3XL, as well as my Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. I'm looking like: I should picked this up when it first came out. Of course, having my reasons not to get it that early (working outside aiming to be careful not to drop it in its dual screen case). But all that said, I'm glad that your videos I've studied have helped me to solidify my decision. This device is a beast and a keeper.

The 12 hours SOT can easily be 7-8 hours SOT for me. My LGv60, when im working out in the sun with mobile data on all the time, and using Google maps all the time, i tend to get 6-8 hours SOT. Depend on the weather, if it too hot outside probably 6-7 hours SIT, but if cold weather, can easily pass 8 hours SOT

if he was not filling in the notch while testing the video v60 would have lasted even longer. Also I think all the phones pretty much did great even lg g8. Because I dont know anybody who watches videos for 7 hours straight. And all the upgraded hertz phones had it turned off and were turned to 1080p. So in reality if lg g8 was on 1080p. And those extra hz phones were on high hz lg g8 would have did better than those phones. But great jub

Dont have problem with the SOT with the LGV60 coz i have a decent SOT with it, like, 7 hours SOT with mobilw data ON all the time..
but the real problem for me is its charging speed.. sometimes i feel its too slow to charge up to 100%. Eventhough i use fast charging adapter and cable, it is still took me 1 hours 40 minutes to 2 hours to charge to 100%.

They can underrate LG as much as they want but one thing that is for sure its that they will never change my mind about LG. Had G5 and i loved it , then i changed to S9 and i was happy for a while till i realized the mistake i made because of the display and the design as everyone says it has the best display etc... I hate it for real because i chat all the time i take selfies and i try to use my phone with one hand in the most of the time, its rly pain in the A**.

This is true, the battery life is insane on the lg v60.
However is there a replaceable battery you can buy for it.
That's why I love my V60❤️❤️🤗
For a small 3500mah battery, the lg g8 did pretty good. My S8+ on 720p low brightness barely gets 4.5-5 hours. Also, I got a steal price for my LG G8 At $235 on Swappa, should be coming in before Friday. However, my favorite phone (before I had to sell it due to financial issues) of this year is by far the S10+.

I'd like to see this test redone but with the phones set to their maximum resolution as that's what most people would leave it at, and add the lg G8x as it has a better battery (if you have two I'd have one with both screens and one by itself, maybe do the same for the LG V60, one dual screen and one by itself). I'm assuming dual screens would die first, but just curious how long they'll last in a test like this. If you ever want to redo this test that is.
But I would change some testing parameters, all devices should have bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and all those things on as they brain batteries, and have all unnecessary background applications closed like games, but leave social media stuff on, like facebook, twitter and instagram just to see how they hold up (obviously not many people would necessarily use their device this way, I certainly don't, but just curious).

The phone is incredible, the only thing I have issues with is battery low brightness no battery saver mode regular data I get 6 hours screen on time and people get 8 to 9 and i ran a battery health capacity and ive had it 3 months its at 89%

At the beginning, LG V60 shows the battery percentage wrong. It's a known bug on some devices. Even iPhones have this bug.

Great video. Nice battery test. Lovin that my Note 10 is still hanging in there at 10 hrs even after being out since August. V60 and S20 are so close it's a tie in my opinion. 3% is more about optimization then anything. A few tweeks to one or the other phone and it could be flip flopped.

@@TheTechPreacher thanks for the quick response. I just had another query, i want your perspective on this. Which would you suggest as a better buy at this time out of V60, S20 flagship or S20 fe. S20 plus is out of equation since it's more expensive and lg v60 is about 50 bucks cheaper than the other two. I don't have huge hands but I reckon I could manage the V60 if I get as good camera, stereo and User experience with ofcourse the qdac(but it's not absolutely necessary) goodness.

Whats the battery life of the V60 when it is being used with the second display? (again, with the brightness all the way up, blue tooth turned on, basically all the stuff in the test but with the second display thrown into the mix!)

@@TheTechPreacher yes, the US Samsung Galaxy S20 has Snapdragon whereas the EU or Asia version has Exynos chip which is supposed to be not good as far as battery life is concerned

I never got the battery life people claimed with the LG V60 I had my LG's charging port replaced recently the technician said I have a chip going bad is why the device isn't charging well should I move on?
