I just can't see myself getting rid of my V60 anytime soon. The 6 Pro is about the only phone I see comparable or slightly better in some aspects if my V60 ever fails, but the LG still has tons of features other phone do not and still super important to me are the 3.5mm headphone jack and the expandable SD card. Hands down the audio DAC will not be beat.
The LG V60 still puts up a fight, too bad it doesn't control highlights very well and saturates colors a bit on the front camera. Excellent video as always, greetings from Venezuela 🇻🇪🤝🇺🇸
@@d.shadocx9277 that amount of detail this lens captures a hen i do photos is something else.. I do alot mobile photography, not even pixel/Samsung /Huawei /xiaomi comes close. Maybe Sony xperia when shot in manual mode..
Took the V60 with me to a vacation last December and it took stunning photos and amazing videos, i do agree on all part especially video on how snooth and amazing Pixel stabilization. Loving my regular 6 so far
I like that TH-cam allows zooming in videos now, especially useful when watching comparison videos like this. Thank you for comparing older generation phones with the latest.
Love that you still throw the v60 into the mix here and there. Took some awesome photos with mine, though mainly using the pro mode. The sensor tech (not just the size!) is a bit aged compared to the top 21 flagships and it's hard to compete in a race if your car engine is 1000ccm while your competition is running in a 4000ccm, but overall I really liked LG's image processing. And the night mode was really good, too. Am on the mi11u now (bought specifically for photography).
I bought LG V60 because I saw it from my friend, the display and dual sound are beautiful, and the camera is just right, the photos are vivid, and the photos are truly taken at 64 megapixels. Now I bought acesories for dual screen, this is okay because if you want to have dual screen, you just put v60 and you can have dual screen. I love it
Ive had every single LG flagship in both variants the G series and V series. The V60 has spectacular cameras in my opinion, especially in manual mode both video and photo. The fact you can snap photos in raw format and a JPEG at the same time is cool. Also when the conditions are good you can utilize the full 64 megapixel camera lens for enhanced detail. Another thing I noticed, when you zoom in it's in the four to one pixel binning mode AKA 16 megapixels, but if you want to before you start zooming in you can switch on 64 megapixels and then zoom in so it's using all that extra information while zooming in. Those are just a couple things I love. Now I do think they could have utilized a 16 megapixel ultrawide as opposed to a 13. They could have even went with a high quality 12. One thing that is missing is 60 frames a second on the ultra wide even the LG v40 and G8 had that option.
Too bad i use my phone cameras mainly in manual mode to disable most processing, the v60 looks a lot better in manual mode even with all settings left auto, i use Open Camera to have higher bitrate in video too
I love the V60 and even tho LG has moved on from their smartphones ..I wish they didn't ... I love their phones ..they come with useful features and I am yet to listen to a headphone jack on any smartphone that sounds as good as LG V series does ... That plus expandable storage and the big screen for media consumption and big battery makes it hard for me to let go and I'll keep it primarily as my music device years to come even if they stop pushing updates and get other brands as my daily driver...I wish they will maybe focus on midrange phones and leave flagships instead of leaving completely ...I'll totally buy them as my back up phone for as long as I use phones
In 2:30 pixel sample have some weird halo effect in the edge of the petal. You need to see this clearly on bigger screen. I think this happened because of multi stacking process... I have seen my friend pixel 4a where the image contain a tree & bacground has some other tree leaf. It captures the front tree perfectly but the bacground tree leaf was all blurry as hell. On 3:20 your t-shirt color looks completely different from each other. So please give your opinion next time when you see two phones picture color are different. Surprisingly to see v60 night time front camera is better than pixel 6 pro! In daylight many photos from v60 are little too bright...you can slightly fix by touch the screen & slide down the EV -3.
im not getting rid of my V60 any time soon idk i feel like the V60 has better colors most of the time not all of the time. it has that headphone jack and manual mode for the camera im sick of aouto all the time i want to control my image not let my phone decide all the time
Damn, the LG really fell behind in terms of processing, which is sad, cause they usually have pretty good hardware. Any chance you gonna try out a V50/60 with a gcam mod against a modern flagship? Kinda curious to see how it holds up.
We are using a lot the ultra wide rear camera for videos of vacations, weekends and vlogging, is the most flexible lens. But there are many diferences of quality and sharpeness betwen smartphones Please makes a comparison to discover wich one is the best UW for videos
No contest really. I was consistently picking the P6P shots over the V60. I was considering the V60 as a budget upgrade pickup but this excellent review really helps me decide quite clearly that it isn't for me. As for comments about using the V60 manual mode for better shots, rarely anyone messes about with manual mode on a phone's camera. They just want to point and shoot.
Oh my God, what kind of device did you show at the beginning of the video to show the two phones in selfie camera mode? Sounds cool? Please tell me his name😍
I'm quite surprised how good LG V60 is compared to the latest, much more expensive Pixel 6 Pro. There is no night and day difference in photo quality at all. V60 video isn't far behind either. I would be disappointed if I upgraded from LG V60 to Pixel 6 Pro just for camera quality. It would be complete money waste.
Yeah the Pixel 6 is a bit lower spec when compared to the V60 so the only possible slight upgrade is the 6 Pro but not enough to warrant changing out my V60. At least there is something on the market now that is close to a V60 in case mine dies at some point.
In harsh lighting, the V60 just falls apart, overexposed colors and highlights, terrible dynamic range, almost unusable. But in more balanced, "proper" lighting, the V60 makes up a lot of lost ground and I'd say beats the P6P in most shots. I'm curious how the V60 hardware running some dope third party camera app with modern processing would stand up to the P6P. Might have to test this on my own V60.
Its good to see how well these cameras do. Now I wonder if the results would be different if pictures were taken in Manual mode. But truly my biggest concern is the hardware. I waiting on the Pixel 6 ( UPS ) and with all these reviews I'm really wondering if I should just keep my v60 and return the P6 when it arrives. Nice Video btw.
I remember the V60 getting a lot of noise for its cameras. By noise I mean good press. I don’t think it’s warranted. Now granted it’s going against the P6P, but I thought the cams were average/slightly above average when they came out. Some may say I have to use manual mode and while there may be a difference there, I’m not a manual mode type of dude (although I’d like to learn). As a point and shoot cam, it’s okay, nothing spectacular
