I have both the S20 Ultra and the V60...the V60 is the better phone from a productivity and functionality point especially with the 2nd screen. Also the cameras and mics on with the pro mode is unstoppable. Oh and it supports Wacom pens beating out my Note 10plus in the area of productivity as well.

Right I miss having the finger print scanner on the back its way better than the in display one because my fingerprint scanner don't really work on my V60 with the glass screen protector
V60. As long as there is significant authentic demand (not TH-camrs softening up demand by repeating the corporate line that "the age of the headphone jack is over" or "just get over it" or "let it go!"), then phone makers should just include the damn jack! Why? 1. Most people use their phones as mp3/music players now, as phone makers intended; 2. These flagship phones cost so g-damn much now that phone makers ought not be deleting ANY features, nevermind features a lot of consumers still want.
While I had not purchased a LG Smartphone in years, I did purchase the LG V60 ThinQ. The dual screen, screen size(s), and price for me was irresistable. I'm still getting familiar with the LG V60 ThinQ, but thus far, I'm of the opinion this phone is full of features and impressive. More to come. Note, I also own a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and the newly released Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite. I won't be purchasing either of the Galaxy S20 Series. Price is just too high.....

I'm sticking with my lgv40 I just got the Android 10 update a couple weeks ago and this display is awesome.. 1440/3120...edit...i got the V 60..the display only 1080/2160 yet looks awesome..the ufs 3.0 is awesome along with double the storage 8 gb ram and snap 865 is amazing
I just switched to the LG v60 from the Note 10 Plus. I've been loyal to the Note series since the Note 2, but Samsung has really let core Note users down. I thought I would be okay with the removal of the headphone jack, but it wasn't okay. I've realized in this past year that it's something I need in my daily driver. The quad DAC is just icing on the cake. I'll miss the S-Pen, but stylus support on the V60 is pretty great and I will learn to live with not having a pen on board. but it really comes down to price. Samsung is asking ridiculous prices now. Once we go far past the $1,000 mark, people really need to think about is this really work it? I'm not paying $1400 for a phone, I need to send a message to Samsung. So I'm all in for the LG V60. I bought a new one for less than $800, with a dual screen. I'm loving it. Bye Samsung... Be better.
The S20 Ultra camera notch is not an issue rocking on a flat surface as most of do to protect an expensive smartphone with a protective case, I know, I DO
Just got this phone a week ago . I had the v30 problem free . I absolutely love the the v60 . In my opinion this is the best phone too price ratio . It's also surpasses Samsung in build quality , sound and sound features . Plus if you register the phone you get a 2 year warranty. Samsung ultra has issues with the camera zoom which is the main selling feature of the phone . Plus there is 1000 s of reports of the glass breaking on the camera .
Hey Saki... In your honest opinion, how do the batteries stack up against each other. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 edgeand I burn thru my battery much much faster than my girlfriends LG G6. She has just gotten the LG G8 Thinq. And again her battery drain is very minimal. I don't know if it is background data running but I am basing this on us only using wifi and the screen brightness is low on both. Running the same TH-cam video she drops 1% in 6 minutes while I burn through 1% in 3 minutes. Again this was comparing my S7 edge to her G6. Not to mention that Samsung is much more expensive.
I would probably have the V60 already if it was not sooo large. More like a v40 or a v50. The dual-screen feature I'm kind of iffy about. But I'm with T-Mobile and so they give you the bundle for only $100 more. If you don't like it are seldom use it I mean technically you've wasted $100. But then again it's like going out and taking a jacket in your car. If you take yout jacket you then have the option of wearing it or not. If you don't take it you don't have the option either way. Plus, I'm old school, and while the s20 has the expandable storage (one of the reasons I was looking at that OnePlus T70 and then dismissed it for lack of expensive storage) the V60 also has that headphone jack. I just wish they would have put it on the top. Plus headphones or earbuds are great because they're inexpensive and you don't have to keep charging them and being hard-wired into the phone there's no potential for any kind of OTA interference on it. I really wish they would have continued with the QHD display and a few more pixels. But I keep hearing the display is not bad anyway. Since I keep coming back to it while searching I might end up with the V60 anyway. although I'm going to try to hold off and see what LG has to offer with their "Velvet" next month. The V60 also has expandable storage. As far as the display, I had the Galaxy Note 8 and it has a 1440p screen and I cannot tell the difference now that I'm on the V60. This screen is beautiful.
The Quad DAC and headphone jack is what keeps me in LG. I got my V60 last week and the second screen was a redeemable free offer, so waiting on that to come in the mail. Bluetooth headsets just don't compare to wired, and the dongle isn't much better.
As a die-hard android fan, I only have very limited choice when buying a new phone. Samsung and LG. I tried different brand but I just didn't like them. I was always samsung note series fan till note 5. then note 7 got major battery issue and called back and since then, I stopped using samsung phone, not because of battery issue but their price tag and curved screen. I prefer to have flat screen and LG happen to be only other premium brand with flat screen. Being average $200+ cheaper is bonus. I gave S8 a try when it came out but I didn't like the curve screen and went back to LG. Now, it's time for me to upgrade from v40 to v60 dual screen. :D
I actually wish they'd get rid of the USB-C jack and just use the magnetic jack used on the second screen cover. I've had my current phone with USB-C for two years and the jack is starting to wear out. A magnetic jack wouldn't wear out.
@@JonaHanz-u2hix There are usb-c cables out that come with inserts for usb-c and micro usb that allow for a magnetic connection. I wonder if it's the same magnetic connecter. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the little adapter that could get lost.
I was looking at both and the price is really close on T-Mobile for the single screen and the dual screen so my question is for the LG V60 thank you if you get the dual screen and you only want to use the main phone you can pull that out and use the main phone correct? My other question is does the second screen have its own battery or just the main phone have to power both screens? And does the second screen have its own speakers or are the only speakers on the main phone? I'd appreciate anybody out there that could answer these questions for me since the price is so close I think it was probably worth getting the dual screen and if for some reason I don't want to use the dual screen I can just pop out the main phone to use separately. The main screen (right side) can be detached from the case. The second screen (left side) does not have its own battery, it is powered by the battery which is inside the main screen. The speakers are located in the main screen; the left screen does not have its own speakers. I hope this helps. I just had my dual screen v 60 last week and I really love it.

U can turn on Google assistance thru their settings on the s20 ultra u don't need the button just say "hey Google " and ask whatever you want to ask. It even works while the lock screen is on
Space Bar and Other Essential Buttons in The last Row of Keyboard are not working after the Android 10 update. I usually use the original full screen gesture of Samsung but not it's messy. I can't tap on the space bar neither can I open the special key note. It only works on landscape mode, when I go back to navigation buttons or when I use the latest full screen gesture. Samsung virtually destroyed their own great full screen gesture just to push an "Apple Like" full screen gesture and it's a shame. This affects all keyboards including Samsung keyboard, Swiftkey and Gboard. Samsung please fix this problem.
With T-Mobile the LG V60 is currently $650 for the single screen and 700 if you want the dual screen. But check this out the step-down phone, The Velvet is $600 (ok, 588) for the single screen, but if you want the dual-screen, you have to get that from LG for $200. So the dual screen Velvet will cost you $800 while the dual screen v60 will cost you $700 bucks. I don't see why T-Mobile could not offer the dual screen velvet for an additional $50 above the floor price for the single screen Velvet. just like they do with the v60. My v40 went belly up, and I think the V60 is too monstrous, even with just the single screen, and so, after 8 years, starting with the G4, I will probably be leaving LG for Samsung. In particular the S20 FE

i loved my LG v20, but one con 1 remember, it was difficult to find 1 specific photo even it had name i assign, search feature do nothing to help it, but my v20 still my fave in term removeable batt phone
VR is not the the same as duel screen functionality. Like you can walk around all day with the vr on and be productive.i think not..lg v60 is far better, extra speed is not a spec also When you zoom in to the max you loose quality, so wide angle is better.So why not go to the King and pioneer of all wide angle phones LG. They give you more features to use with it. Let's not forget you get stylo support. More features s20 doesn't have.
I've been burned 2 times by LG phones. The G3 and the V30.... out of the box, they were great phones... 2 months in on both phones, you basically have to hard restart them constantly and nothing, I mean nothing on them works properly... I highly recommend that you all stay far away from lg phones... just a heads up
I had Lg Flex 2,V20 and now V30. Every of them i owned for more than one year. I have never,ever had any single hick up with any of this phones. V30 is still a beast. So you probably bought some bad chinese copy.

Not just a headphone jack, it's a friking quad dac ultra high quality audio don't just say "it has a headphone jack..."
Don't forget the V60 has pen support as well. You can use it like the Note line.
The manual camera and manual video mode is way better.

You are correct that its doesn't wear out, but it does have the tendency to be lost. Th LG v 60 can be charged also by a wireless charger.

Agreed. The S20 Ultra probably beats the V60 in most categories but only slightly. And certainly not by enough to justify a $600 difference in price.

Lg beside Jack have Quad dac, that is great for better headphones, samsung will never reach that sound quality like lg..
To replace the Bixby key with Google Assistant just install bxActions...

I don't see why T-Mobile could not offer the dual screen velvet for an additional $50 above the floor price for the single screen Velvet. just like they do with the v60.
My v40 went belly up, and I think the V60 is too monstrous, even with just the single screen, and so, after 8 years, starting with the G4, I will probably be leaving LG for Samsung. In particular the S20 FE

V60 all the way, the LG phones didn't receive enough love and appreciation for what they offered.

lg phones are good but not great I feel that lg has too do something to change cause the lg phones usually are like the same it's not different I only had one lg phone and that's the lg v20 and that's was only cause I had to give back my note phone cause some was catching fire

I have a question I have a LG G6 that still works pretty good and I didn't know if I should wait and get a new one next year or you think this year is a good time to get a LG V60 or even something else what do you think? LG over Samsung any day...such under rated phones. It's a shame they have such poor advertising and have slowly been losing their identity do to conforming to the popular market.

i loved my LG v20, but one con 1 remember, it was difficult to find 1 specific photo even it had name i assign, search feature do nothing to help it, but my v20 still my fave in term removeable batt phone

VR is not the the same as duel screen functionality. Like you can walk around all day with the vr on and be productive.i think not..lg v60 is far better, extra speed is not a spec also When you zoom in to the max you loose quality, so wide angle is better.So why not go to the King and pioneer of all wide angle phones LG. They give you more features to use with it. Let's not forget you get stylo support. More features s20 doesn't have.
I try putting my s20 in the duel screen doesn't work even the g8x won't work in the v60 duel screen case

I've been burned 2 times by LG phones. The G3 and the V30.... out of the box, they were great phones... 2 months in on both phones, you basically have to hard restart them constantly and nothing, I mean nothing on them works properly... I highly recommend that you all stay far away from lg phones... just a heads up
No everyone has those issues though..
I seriously doubt LG would still be making phones all these years if many people had the problems you had.
I had Lg Flex 2,V20 and now V30. Every of them i owned for more than one year. I have never,ever had any single hick up with any of this phones. V30 is still a beast. So you probably bought some bad chinese copy.
