From a guys perspective, this is exactly the right advice. A good man will go to the ends of the earth for you, IF he likes you and he KNOWS you like him. A good man will not waste his time being your back up plan and will not pursue you if he thinks that is what he is. Women love hints but most men are terrible at that. Be clear and know for sure.

It's annoying though when you meet a guy and you text for like 6 wks, sharing glimpses of your life, jokes, etc. almost everyday to find out he only viewed you as a friend the whole time and never had intentions to meet with you again. And when you ask what was the point of texting back anyway... his response is: "Well, sorry for wasting your time lol."

People will make time for what they want. Obviously… when a guy doesn’t plan or arrange to meet up, he’s not into her- sadly not even as a friend… 😅
I don’t disagree. Just sometimes it is nuanced because if a man isn’t sure if a woman is interested they also will disengage. But ultimately if you’ve shown interest and he isn’t engaging, then move on to someone that is really into you.

I know a man and been texting for nearly 3 years and have seen him 3 times. The last time was about one and half years ago. Always has excuses and only texts when he feels like. Sounds like he wants you at his convenience. I would say, "I like plans at least a day in advance. I'm free X and Y days this week."
He was dating someone else & just ignore him by doing nothing. He if he is interested he will contact you by phone and ask you out. texting is nothing but chatter.
It is wise to respond to a last minute text with this: I dont appreciate last minute calls for a date. I am not your back up plan. Enjoy your date, if you find one. See ya!

The reason Nadia has an issue is because it's masculine to learn forward and having kept initiating the texting. To be a goddess, we have to lean back and relax, and let him row the boat, let him be the chaser.
well i have been dating a guy more than 4 months in the starting point of dating we used to talk alot even though we met no. of times and since few weeks he is still talking to me but refusing to meet me and refusing to talk on phonecall by telling he is busy while he has time to meet his friends. but after this i have realised he don’t have commitment interest from me.

Hi- I am in a similar situation except I met my guy a few months ago, keep in touch often as friends and we have agreed to take things slow. we have been on two dates, he told me recently he wants to see me again but he hasn’t planned anything or initiated with our next date. This is a guy that doesn’t like pressure with dating and has told me he wants to move slowly as he was really hurt in the past. So I try to rely on him to initiate conversations and set up plans. But it does drive me crazy because I do want to see him again

But he said he didn’t feel “ready to jump in just yet”. Our weekend together was really great however. Not really sure how to move forward. I kinda friend zoned him for now since he isn’t “ready yet”. He said he has fun with me and wants to see me again.
This guy I've been seeing for little over a month, texts me all day every day, but won't commit to plans lately. I called him out. He said something about that just being the way he is. I feel frustrated that I'm available whenever he tells me to do sth, but the other way around he's just flaky when I extend invitations to him. Today I tried to make plans for tomorrow afternoon and he already had plans with his friends so I asked him if he was up to meet me today. His response, again, flaky, said he would ask me at certain time of the day if I'm home and stop by. I don't know when this became a booty call, we used to have amazing dates outside and that's what I'm missing. We live in a small town and talked about how we are not ready for a serious relationship so we try not to make it obvious in public. Although it does feel like a next level relationship when we text all day. He's younger, I don't know if that's just the way he prefers things (intense texting and not meeting that much) or if he may have something with someone else. But I'm getting tired of the situation. My plan is "I won't be home" when he texts later today, but instead I will try to make plans for tomorrow night to watch a hockey game together which we have done in the past. If he rejects me one more time, it will certainly be the last one.

OMG, I needed this right now. I have a man who I went out with sent me flowers we made a strong connection but his ex then professed love for him. No, he’s obviously keeping you as an option, not a priority. If his energy changed after he spoke to ex, he’s trying to see what happens with that while keeping you as an option. I say move on, that’s what I did.

I met this man and we connected instantly. We are two and half hours away from each other and decided we would meet halfway. We met during the weekends and things were great. We continued texting daily and he calls in the evening about twice. But then meeting came to a halt, we continue to talk daily but he avoids meeting up any more. Sometimes yes but sometime no because at the very very beginning they don’t even know who you are yet. So the silence could mean not that interested yet.

It’s not about changing their mind or convincing them of anything. It’s about asking yourself do you want him to get to know you more and if so take initiative. Don’t just follow his lead. Make your own choices. If you are frequently getting silence or a disinterested vibe then it’s a no. All I am saying is don’t just always relay on a man pursuing you. That energy isn’t always the best. You choose too.

Hey Kavita 😀 I've been talking to this guy who lives locally. We've been talking since May. But then we stopped talking to each other for a few weeks or so. Then I messaged him one night in the middle of July this yr. I some how was thinking about him in that moment & I thought, "Oh! I should message him. It's been a while since we last talked.". So I messaged him that night. He messaged me back. And then we end up talking to each other for a week or 2 I think it was. Then he doesn't message me while I went to Virginia to visit family. I thought I scared him off with one of the last things I said to him you know. Which I don't think I did. I just think he was maybe dealing with some things.
So then he messaged like...Idk...a day or 2, maybe 3 days after I came home from virginia. He apologized to me saying that he's sorry that he was distant. I said that it was fine. Then he messages me again a few days or so later again & he ends up calling me "love" in one of the messages from that day haha And yeah I thought it was cute & sweet 🙂 He only messaged me twice that day.
Then I think he messaged me the day after. We talk again for a few days. Like...it's interesting that we talk for some days & it's like we talk where we left off or something you know. Other days when he doesn't message me I do miss him 😣 And what I thought was interesting is that when I showed him a few weeks ago that I got my hair ombred up, he was like, "So pretty

Met this guy, he approached me and asked for my number. I scanned him, nice looking man. We exchanged numbers, he texted me days later and told me he’s web designer, stays up late doing work and sleeps in during day. Went out on a date, we hit it off well, comes to see but wouldn’t plan day activities with me. He’s asked me even hang out with his son and he wants a woman like me. He sometimes pick up the phone and he tells me he’s sleeping. I mean, we haven’t been on date lately but he comes to see me. I asked him many times if he is seeing other women, he told me no.
