  • “Social and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic threaten to reverse progress towards gender equality,” a new study funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation revealed in March 2022. I will dive more deeply into the impact of the pandemic on gender inequality. Even more importantly, I will provide concrete ideas about what we can all do to continue to move towards gender equality globally. Lisa Powell Graham, MPA is a women's leadership coach, keynote & inspirational speaker, and political trainer whose passion is helping others tap into their own secret superpowers. Lisa was part of Hillary Clinton's campaign staff in 2016 in Philadelphia, PA. She has worked on numerous local, state, and presidential campaigns, starting at age 8. Lisa has traveled to 30+ countries, and has studied yoga and meditation since 2005. She is a Certified Martha Beck Life Coach and meditation instructor. Lisa earned her Master in Public Administration degree at Harvard Kennedy School in 2005. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
