Wiring your track bus is exactly how I install it !!!!! I thought that I was a lone wolf !!! A lot people use Insulation Displacement Connectors or “IDC’s” . Thank you 😊 for making sure that I was not insane 🤪
Really liking the shelf bracket and deck screw idea. With the texture paint... do you sand the top of the cork after painting or just adhere the track straight to it? Looking forward to future updates.
I was on the assumption that you were redesigning the entire layout. But this looks just like an expansion from a side track! Did I miss something or a video? Looks like a big expansion though! Good luck.
If you go back and look at the Trackplan video which was Part 1 of the New Seaboard Central I go over the layout. This section I am working on is actually an add on around the walls of the helix room. This greatly enhanced the overall operations.
@@davidsanderbeck8086 I guess I’m lucky in that my district has a lot of locals compared to others. I’m also number 7 on the engineers seniority roster so it gives me options. Hopefully you’ll have some guys above you retire soon so you’ll move up the roster. Tim
I based the weathering on the prototype photos. Some of my cars have very little weathering depending on their age. Some of the tank cars are new and even have a glossy shine.
thank you for sharing your detailed video and as great watching every time
Thanks Robert!
It's always nice to make a Layout bigger.
Yes, it is exciting to see the layout grow. I’m going to need some southern pine trees. Know where I might find some? :)
Stone Texture paint looks great! Engine sounds are most Real!
Thanks! It is definitely a good stand in until the track is ballasted.
This is coming along great...keep em coming...Thanks for streaming
Thanks! Stay tuned. More to come!
Thanks, Tim! I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks for watching!
Always good videos with tips and ideas. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Joe! Be sure to turn in next Sunday to see the next step and progress to the layout. Tim

Looking great.
Thanks!
Awesome. Thank you for sharing

Haha! You’re not alone. :)
Great info. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thanks for watching Dave!
Very helpful for me, thank you!
Thanks! Glad I can help. I’m trying to put out a new video every Sunday. Tim
Very cool video.
Thanks!
Thanks for showing your wiring techniques. The weathering on the covered hoppers looks great!-Tom
Thanks Tom!
😊
😀
Great job! The brackets really will cut down on the amount of lumber and studs to build a shelf layout! 👍
Thanks Gene! Yeah the shelf is so narrow the brackets made the most sense in this situation.
Love the videos! Youve been inspiring me oh how i plan to build mine!
Thanks! So glad the SC is an inspiration. More videos on the way!

Thanks! Yes I sand it down first. I did a video on how I do it a few months ago if you haven’t seen it. Tim
@@SeaboardCentral I'll rack it up to my brain not keeping up. 🤣

@@SeaboardCentral Yea, I found that video.
Nice update Tim! What model compressor do you use for your airbrush?
Really not important. Any OK compressor with an air tank is fine.
I use a compressor from Home Depot. It is the kind contractors use with nail guns. Works great!
Where did you get the first terminal strips you showed from?
You can get them from Amazon
You must be on a regular assigned job to get this much done at home..
Thanks! Yes sir. I’m bid in on a Road Switcher that works 6am with Sundays and Mondays off.
@@SeaboardCentral I had days off last year and this year until my job got abolished. Had to go back on the road.

A little too much weathering on those hoppers for me
I based the weathering on the prototype photos. Some of my cars have very little weathering depending on their age. Some of the tank cars are new and even have a glossy shine.
In my opinion they look awesome... respectfully of course
