    Really love how you consider design into your build. Long flowing lines, adapting the layout to the visual beauty of the fascia line. Very museum quality effect. Well done.

      Actually, that Church is one block away from my home. There is also another one, just like it, in Milner (near the Grain Elevator) as well. I will probably model it at a later date.

    Thank you for sharing your philosophy regarding the facia design. I am planning out my new layout which will have "oceanfront" features and I will certainly use your approach to a fixed horizontal lower layer as appealing to the viewer.

      Thank You Jeff. Another advantage - The thin line (lower facia) also makes for a great work space under the layout as well. Just install a smaller LED under the frame with a table and you are good to go! Cheers.

      Lol . . . Funny you mention that. I have to do some sanding (very little if possible) on the facia for painting. I don't like to sand at all if I can help it. Cheers.

    Love the frequent updates with your narrative. Your attention to detail is impressive.
    I'm glad you're not doing what you call "A slice of life." I like the clean edge.
    Imagine how many miles of roadway you could have in your small space if you were modelling in N scale.

      Yep, high of 90° & humidity @ 61% today ... Is that heat wave in the NW US affecting you any?

      @@hondachopper6978 Yes. Temps are expected to go as high as 102 degrees or (39 Celsius), in the Fraser Valley where I live. It will be brutal.

    its already pretty to look at,, the wood, the curves, imagining the scenery. love it.. great work.. you should build up your vlogs thou, dont release them as soon as you finish them, work at your pace, but just release 1 or 2 vlogs a week.. that way you will be ahead IRL and when you need a break or a 'IRL busy' you still have a few 'up your sleeve'.. it will help your channel grow and keep the hype up.. it will help you stay motivated to a comfortable level and still maintain strong support from yt.

    Another great session! It is a very good idea not to have tracks to close to the facia, for instance of a derailment, your cars and engines could wind up falling off, and getting damaged! Nice work👍

    Silly question… do you leave the parchment paper in between the joints or remove doing a final assembly? Like the “Masked Planer” bit

      Great question. I trim it, and leave it, after the road bed seam is done (which I will soon show). This way, if any diluted ballast glue, etc., seeps in, I can still separate the modules with less fuss. Cheers.

      4000K Lithonia from Home Depot. They look like older fluorescent style but they are are commercial LED strips behind the shade.

    Pertaining to the lighting… I’ve noticed that in each corner there’s a distinct darkening because the bulbs are not continous, yet you’ve not mentioned it (at least not yet). Will you be addressing this at some future date?; perhaps with ribbon LEDs or such?

      Yes, I did mention (briefly) I was going to use "dimmable" discs @ 6000K for the corners, etc. Furthermore, the corners look darker in the video. Live, they don't look very dark. The camera sensor can play like this sometimes. Cheers.
