    I like what you've got going there!! Can you increase your volume at all? I have my volume all the way up and can't hear you so well.
    You do great work, I love your roads/parking lot/paved surfaces!! I'm loving that caboose too, great detail on that thing.
    Getting ready to start documenting my 18" x 80" shelf layout here shortly. Now, with the "lock down", I have plenty of time to get started. :)
    Subscribed!! Look forward to seeing more videos! Peace out brother!

      Hi! Yes I know the audio blows, it's just a recording on my iPhone. I'll try to improve on that for future videos.

    For such a short run of track, wouldn't it be more suitable to operate smaller rolling stock??? That tank car looks huge!!!!

      That facing point spur was more scenery than anything...

    This is pretty amazing. It may have actually accidentally answered a question in my mind.

      It's all in the silos, @@lepetitnabot. If you saw the mess I made...

    • @lepetitnabot
      @lepetitnabot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SouthDown Well, glad I could be of help. The silos are a modified Walthers kit (933-3081). I had room for only 3 of the 4 silos, hehe. The building in the back is Pikestuff parts and styrene.

      Thank you, @@lepetitnabot. Last night I ended up fading them up and now they don't look like Neapolitian ice cream. Perhaps another dusting to add additional fading and some weathering and they'll be almost passable. Almost.

    • @lepetitnabot
      @lepetitnabot  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SouthDown As I remember, I painted them off-white. The lines are just pencil marks (they look good from 3 feet but won't hold to scrutiny). The rest is done with weathering powders.

    I really like your scenery work! A+, except for that one tree...
    Makes one to pack up my paints and head on over!🤣 The layout size is perfect. Very nice attention to detail!

      Thanks! The trees are still a work in progress. The trunks on those birches need work, especially.

    I've seen people use metal framing studs in the past for thier layouts.

    Nice little layout. I like the way you used code 70 rail as well. It really enhances the short line look and feel. Cheers.

      Big thumbs up on the Code 70. The appearance of so many layouts is ruined by rail that is too heavy

    Very nice! By the way, what is the source of that blue sedan and white sport coupe at the left end of your layout? I've never seen those as HO scale mmodels before. Thanks for any help!

      @lepetitnabot  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! The WRX and Integra are very modified, custom painted Japanese toy cars. You can find them on eBay by searching Tomica or Tomytec brand (I don't remember exactly but they come as a press-fit kit). The wheels are separate parts from Germany. A lot of work!

    What code is the track on this layout please?

  • @billy-bobboozer873
    @billy-bobboozer873 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The PD3000 is not a 'cement only' car. It can carry any powered material as well as plastic beads. I think it looks bad @ss on your layout.

    • @lepetitnabot
      @lepetitnabot  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fair, but in real life they're mostly used to carry cement, as the heavier material suits these smaller cars better. Plastic pellets are usually carried in bigger cars because they are much lighter than cement.

    • @billy-bobboozer873
      @billy-bobboozer873 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lepetitnabot that is a general assessment and they were known to carry bentonite, calcium carbonate, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), cement, fly ash, lime, limestone pellets, salt, sand, and talc. But it's your railroad and you can have the PD3000 carry milk, if you want it to!
