Congratulations to the winners. And absolutely love the scrap yard that you are adding to your layout.
Wow, your recycling center looks fantastic! Do you have a video of how you created it?
Thanks! No, I didn’t film the process on this one. I’ll try to go into more detail on it in the next update.
@@SeaboardCentral Thanks, really appreciate that and looking forward to that video.
You know Tim, There are I admit more elaborate and impressive layouts on TH-cam than yours ,as you no doubt are aware of this but I must confess that I have a particular affection if that's the right word for you and your rail creation. I dont have a layout myself and do not want one. I have always had a facination with trains. I always look forward to seeing it progress. Keep up the good work. All the best from Australia.
Thanks! I appreciate it.
The WV&W car caught my interest because I lived in the Wyoming Valley for almost 10 years. I looked up the model railroad and it turns out it models the area all around Scranton, PA. In a fun link to your job, Tim, that is now all NS territory, acquired from Canadian Pacific around 2015. I love finding little connections like that in my interests!
That’s cool. Never knew that.
Congrats all I am ordering 2 more of your coil cars from Home Shops
Awesome
Nice weathered models. That scrap load and even the bottom of that gon was over the top. Congratulations on your subs and all the winners.
Thanks!
Certainly some fantastic weathering and I like the variety...some severely weathered, others lightly so.
Thanks!
I picked up a coil car from home shops at the Amherst show they’re beautiful cars Tim
A seaboard central car
Great!
Hi Mr. Tim, you always have a good video like So Cal Models. You both really put the realism in there, because that's how it is. I don't much room or an idea of what era, but would if I could Holmesburg Junction in NE Philadelphia Pa., which is on the Northeast Corridor. Yep, I spent most of my youth sitting at station and interlocking tower. Been inside several times through out my youth. Take Care and Congratulate the Winners for me.
Thanks!
Thanks Tim, congrats on reaching 10,000. Keep up the good work. Cheers Peter from downunder. PS I am in Melbourne, Australia and model trains through outback South Australia from Alice Springs to Adelaide in the era around 2000. I didn’t enter the competition but pleased for those that did.
Thanks! Cheers Peter!
Congrats to all the winners! Those scap gons looks great.
Thanks!
thanks great again
Thanks!
Sorry I missed the video. Congrats to the winners. Now to check on GA Bigfoot.
Keep watching. Hope to do more in the future.
Congratulations to all the winners. This was a great giveaway. Thanks, Tim, for doing this.
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
Cool.
Thanks!
Congrats to all the winners…
Thanks for watching!
I would like to know if you think the 550 dollar price tag is worth it for the proto throttle I like how it looks but there are no reviews and I see you use it
For me personally, absolutely. But then I am an operator. I have so much enjoyment using my ProtoThrottles to switch cars in my yard and at my industries. If you are more of a railfan or belong to a club where the trains just run constantly in a circuit then probably not. A regular throttle is fine. So it really depends on what type of modeler you are.
Can Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars be used on your layout?
No, they are 1/64 scale and would be better suited for S gauge. HO scale is 1/87 so the cars are smaller.
Was that front-end loader garbage truck on your layout a First Gear model?
Yes. An expensive model but really nice
cool vid... the scrap yard looks nice... those SC coil cars are also cool... but kinda surprised you don't have CTC on the layout... practically EVERY modeler i see has CTC on their layout... i was a real railroader but never worked in CTC territory... give me good old fashioned yard limits and "movement with the current of traffic" and i'm good 😁😁 i gotta get your magazine before it sells out to... i almost forgot about that
Thanks! The line I am modeling is secondary dark territory. No CTC here. I’ll leave it for others.
Great video, Tim. Like you, I think weathered cars add a lot to the feel of a model railroad. Congrats to the winners! I'm looking forward to the ADM ops videos. In 1970 to '71 I worked in a corn mill in North Kansas City, MO.
Thanks! I appreciate it. Stay tuned!
Great video Tim!
Thanks!
Love all the new cars you've done. Congrats to the winners. Keep up the great work Tim! Cheers - Brian
Thanks Brian!
Tim, That was an extremely nice gesture on your part for us subscriber's. I congratulate the winners. I didn't participate in the giveaway because I model in "S", and on the off chance I won, I didn't want to take a potential car from someone who actually models in HO, although the grand prize was certainly tempting. Although I run a few different railroads. My modeling era is late 40's to late 50's (steam to diesel) in NE Ohio, B&O and PRR. Occasionally I change the roads and convert to New England and do the NH, MeC, and B&M, since I now live in New England. However, I'm still a native Buckeye at heart who loves steam and 1st generation diesels, especially Alco's.
Thanks! I wish there was more modern rivet counter level equipment available in 1/64. It’s too bad because I think it is a great size scale. I
Congrats to the winners!
Thanks for watching and participating.
Congratulations to all the winners. Great video!
Thanks!
Congrats to all of the winners! Great job Tim!
Thanks!
Hi Tim, that was great to watch thankyou and congratulations to all 3 Winners. I really liked seeing the different Boxcar Liveries - my own Trainspotting days were a diet of British Railways Corporate - no variations. The Door replacement on the 'railbox' to one from a different car and version is an excellent idea and the Load and Interior of the empty Scrap-Gon was spot-on. Thank you.
Thanks! The ABOX car is a unique car in that it includes a plug door and a sliding door. Not many left these days but there are still a few and since I model 2015 I knew I could justify one.
Awesome! Congratulations to all the winners!!! Great video sir! - Gary
Thanks Gary!
Congratulations on the subscriber count. I really enjoying watching the progress. From Chester, Illinois. 1970's Era.
Congratulations on 10k subscribers and magazine cover! 1950s transition era HO Rock Island. Madison. Alabama.
Wow 10000 keep up the great work. We model Csx boston and albany line modern times with branch lines for the Mass Central railroad and the Bay Colony Railroad. This give us big locomotives and mainline running for my son and short line switching for me. I am from close to Cape Cod Massachusetts

Congratulations on hitting 10k subscribers and getting the cover photo on Model Railroad Planning Tim! the channel's come a long way and I have enjoyed seeing it grow and your modeling techniques! Currently I'm working on building up a roster for my modern 2010's fictional railroad company that will have multiple locations spreadout throughout the U.S. sort of like Watco and Gennesee & Wyoming. I'm currently out in central Texas, but there are so many inspiring places to model such as the nice hilly forested areas in Pennsylvania with the BPRR, to the rolling hills and grain mills of the KYLE railroad, so I'm still thinking of final decision, but I'm leaning towards Pennsylvania and having one of the shortlines interchange with NS similar to your layout. Keep up the great videos, and looking forward to the progression of your beautiful layout!
Congrats I’m from Ontario Canada and have my own switching layout named Lakeview Railroad
Congratulations Tim. Im from Lansdale Pennsylvania. Model 1990's
Tim, congrats on the milestone! I am in northwest Indiana and model the Monon 3rd Subdivision from Monon to Michigan City! I model the 50’s-70’s. Considering a fantasy future for the Monon so I can run more modern stuff too!

I’m from Cincinnati, Ohio and model Norfolk Southern with my dad in the late 1980s and early 90s.
Hello Tim! Congrats on 10k! I am from Central Wisconsin, and I model the modern day BNSF on a freelanced Subdivision called the Buckwheat Sub. However I take great inspiration from your Freelanced Railroad and may be switching to a shortline that is of my own design. Thanks for the Videos, and here's to 15K!👍👍
Hey Tim! Congrats on 10k subs. I freelance a modern era branch line in the DFW area.
Hi Tim! I live in Hazleton, PA and I freelance model the mid 60s forward.
Congrats Tim. I’m from KY, I model modern NS
Congratulations on both and magazine and your 10k subscribers.
Great layout.....Yuma, Arizona...........Question,,,are there any high hood motors left on the NS.

Congratulations! Your layout and channel are great! I model Conrail and NS in the 1990s. I am from Pittsburgh PA and that is the area I model! Thanks for a your great videos
Hi Tim, My Ozark Northern is similar to the Cat Mountain Santa Fe featured in MR several years ago but with mostly Frisco power By swapping out equipment my era can go steam or diesel.
