Cool man I just found this video I just got a new xmaxx I did this same exact thing 1.5lb rate springs and sick covers lightening but green and I used 60wt oil lol this crazy how close we did the same thing. I noticed it does roll a little easier but has way better handling
so how does it drive? any video on that? would have been nice to add that to this one. To see difrence in handling and pull up few little jumps in slow mo..
I always tend to check and refill with the weight oil that suits my style of driving - in addition sometimes the shocks are not properly filled from factory either....

When going to such a thick oil (I run 70WT), the stiffer springs help return the shock back to droop settings after compression. The thicker oil CAN slightly counteract the softer springs.

Just replaced my shock oil to 60wt rear and 50wt front ;o)
What driving style is this used for ? I want max wheelies and flips not a big track guy

I followed your instructions completely on the shock oil. But I have no rebound. I filled and left a few millimeters. No rebound
I don’t understand changing the oil out of a brand new never ran RC but the video was informative!

I plan on making a lift kit for mine, I’ll keep ya guys posted when I get my xmaxx and lift.

How many bottles of oil will be needed for each shock? I want to make sure I get enough oil to do the job.

I know it keeps the rear from squating as much on acceleration.. There for more traction in the front and more speed.
