You don't need all these upgrades the only one you really need is the max 6 ESC leave the stock motor in it do not use the Pro-Line tires they will destroy your truck
@@deimos_lux378maybe they have updated the stock tyres, my truck is about 3 months old and the v4 version and I can honestly say I like the stock tyres they don’t ballon much got plenty of grip I’m going to get the orange 7772’s I’ve got some Jetko belted tyrrs too but they are heavy and I’m pretty much going to use them for the road
I’m a 30 year basher iv got 5 Xmaxx and xrt’s love all my m2c racing mods top of the line but I must say I’ve never left a hobby shop under 1500 just for Truck and lipos in charger
Just purchased this truck and already purchased the m2c chassis beefcake brace and center drive system! Can’t wait to install everything and test this HUGE RC out!!

So much wasted money on pointless upgrades 🤦♂️ max6 hinge pins and better spur and pinion your good to go. Chassis brace and those tyres add far too much weight
I own my xmaxx now for only over a year. It is an expensive truck to begin with and if you look at the total cost after upgrades its bound to scare of people. But the thing is just enjoy it as it is in the beginning . Steadily upgrade as you go or break stuff. Only like just after a month from now its a reliable truck. Just be patient learn the truck to drive and control cause its not to compare (for me it wasnt) with any other rc ive owned. Now i just want to drive it everyday, cus it so brutal that it literally can alter the landscape

This is the best way to go. I've had mine a year and a half and slowly upgraded some things so now it's unbreakable aside from the pinion and spur gears that strip but I just keep spares on hand so it's not a huge deal
This video was definitely made by someone who doesn't actually have an xmaxx. Rpm suspension arms and captured hinge pins should be the first thing you swap out and honestly it's the only upgrade that I'd say is necessary.
This truck is mahooosive!! Would it be cheaper sourcing every single part separately and building ur own xmaxx from scratch rather than buying one prebuilt to then ditch the stock items and shell out more money for replacing 1/4 of the trucks components in upgrades??

I would never do any of those upgrades!! Just go to mod 1.5 gears and upgrade the fans on both the stock ESC and the motor to the 40 m m server fans!! If I ever did an upgrade on tires I would never go with the pro lines I would go to the sledgehammers!! All those upgrades are unnecessary nothing but a big waste of money!!

Hi, thanks for the comment. The max5 is larger and is designed for 1/5 scale cars like the X-Maxx, while the max6 is designed for 1/6 scale cars. Also the amperage is lower for the max6 compared to the max5 with the peak current being lower as well. So with the max5 you get more power - which is a must for a large scale RC like the X-Maxx! @@RCorDIE If you plan to stay with the stock motor the Max6 is the right choice. But, if you want to go with 800-1100kV Hobbywing or Surpass Rocket motor in the future then the Max5 is the ESC to use.
I personally think the max 5 and 800kv is Overkill for this rig, it only weighs 19 lbs so max6 and 1100kv is plenty... I run mine with an Outcast 8s motor and Firma 160 (max6 equivalent) all M2Cified and it's plenty for huge Air.... Some of my Bros go 1100kv but I think the Max5 is definitely not necessary IMHO. But to each his own

Love mine, got it a few months back, the Maxx v2 is also a blast!
Maxx v2 Breaks less and don’t need as much space to use it!! Got max8 in mine monster 👹 now

1st upgrade should be rpm hubs and bearings. If yours is over a month old yours are already bad

do it right direct at start, use Max5 Combo, not Max6
and as a hint, your pictures for the M2C brace shows two differrent versions, 1185 and 1129
