@katherineportillo360 these cameras are very universal, you just need to make sure you have an android head unit that supports the front and back cameras!
I did one on my RAV4 works very well, I used Tesa Tape & split loom conduit to protect the wires from heat & sharp edges.. My front one switches on when I am parking or reversing, as soon as I put car from reverse to drive it comes on for 10 seconds or there is an app that you use to have it on full time.
I’ve been meaning to get some Tesa tape, looks much more professional looking. But that’s awesome that you put one in the rav, because I’ve been enjoying mine in my corolla!

It would be awsome if new cars comes with front camera fitted in. It plays a role when you park and help you notice the distance to front obstacles or another vehicle.

Good video man, nice oem clean look too. I personally would've left the connection closer to the emblem on the front just case if you ever needed to take the bumber off you could disconnect the camera much easier. Would also need to get a connector for that acc cable too but they sell those at like autozone/advanced too.

so the camera is always on even if you're not using it, coz it's directly connected to the supply, it's still gonna continue to run in the background even if you're not viewing it
The camera has constant power as long as the radio is on. Once the radio is off the camera doesn’t have power.
But you can pull up the camera while driving.

As of 5/14/2023 - I have a 4ch but for right now I'm doing a 3ch - back - and both sides for now.
All cameras are hidden, just a normal looking car driving by.

@@BrandonStellmach - let's just say yes it's like a tesla 4-way camera system & no video of my car of the outside of it and no video of how I installed it. It's all a secret in order to get video of stupid drivers so they don't know and for ever not knowing what vehicle it came from. The only video is from the cameras themselves. Oh and side cameras are back up cams with lines. If your in the red get the hell out of it bc your way to close to my side(s)!!!! LOL 😠

As far as wiring, my radio has 2 camera inputs. One for the backup camera. And another one for auxiliary camera. I used the video input on the aux camera, and than I can toggle a switch in my settings to turn the camera on with the steering wheel controls.

Yeah the reverse camera is a great addition! I love having mine.
If you want to fix the tilted video, just make the wheels on one side of the car smaller than the other.

This is really excellent. One question. You show a red lead comiming out of the video plug to supply the power to the camera?. Are you using the centre core of the video lead to carry the positive or is it a three core cable. Common earth acting as screen, video line and positive like. I am very interested in this as i cant see over the front wings to see the wheel arches of my Renault captur. I hate the design of SUV. Their all round vis is terrible. My neck hurts. I want my Berlingo back. 😢😢😢😢
Hey Brandon: I installed a similar camera on my 2008 Toyota Matrix. The back of the camera actually unscrews. The difference with 1st generation matrix is the grill is attached to the hood. I grabbed a 4 pin camera cable extension off amazon. Doing this allowed me to keep the power and video connection inside the cabin and all the connections stay at the back of the radio, and I only had to work on feeding the small cable to the camera.
I did this install about 2019. The camera lense has since fogged up and the image is not all that clear now. When it was new the the image was pretty darn good. I have been looking for another camera that has a steeper angle that would show some of the front bumper.
I tried to unscrew it or pull it off, but I felt that I was going to break it. So I just left it alone.
And I hope mine doesn’t start to fog up, but only time will tell.
But a steeper angle would be much better, but there isn’t many cameras out there that will specifically fit in a Toyota emblem.
It's been a while but I just actually remembered its the front screws off..... that will allow you to address the horizontal issue your have as well .....
It really sucks that they don't come with any instructions.

You might find in the settings you can get the front camera to work with reverse camera...on my android headunit when I come out of reverse it shows front camera for 5 secs to aid with parking....I have a video on my TH-cam channel on how to set it up 😉
Yeah I was able to find the setting, it was in the factory settings of the radio, now after reverse it shows the front camera!

The red wire gets connected to wire red wire that goes behind the radio. And the black wire gets grounded out to a bolt in the engine bay, or the negative terminal on the battery.
I try to explain it at around 3:00 in the video!

I installed the front camera but it tells me driving status, video close for your safety. Do you know how to fix that?
There should be a setting that allows video to play while driving somewhere in the android radio settings.
You have to go behind your head unit and search up the aftermarket parking break wire and ground that
please make a tutorial on how you run wire from the engine bay to the cabin. did you make a hole?
In my foglight video, I made a while ago. I give a little bit better tutorial on how I ran the wire.
But there is going to be a rubber grommet in the back of the engine bay, and it will make it easier if you take a knife and cut a slit in the grommet. And then you should be able to push your wire through.

If you connect directly to the battery this will keep the camera on all the time. You will need to add a relay or connect to a fuse that only turns on when the car is on.

I appreciate you watching! As for adding an external switch. You would need to interpret the power wire going to the radio from the camera, and splice a switch into it, and once the radio receives the power from the camera it will turn on the screen.

We don’t have the vioz in the US, but we do have the Yaris, they come in the hatchback and sedan.

would the accessory wire be the same as the ignition wire for the radio?
I already installed a reverse camera for my pickup. I'm now trying to figure out a way to connect a front camera to only have when the headlights are on. That way I can use the same switch for two purposes.
I was able to hook up my front camera up to use one of my steering wheel controls. Much easier to hook up. And you don’t even need to splice any wires.
Is there a way to install digital climate controls? I’m trying to install remote start to mine and everything. Also you know the reason why this car died could’ve been the electrical current from the lightning bolt hitting the cameras and the wires and fried the battery
I have looked into swapping over to the digital climate, and there is many things that need to change, and it would cost a lot in parts. So it’s not easy to swap over.
But I don’t think the camera had much to do with the car dying from the lightning. Because many other things were messed up that didn’t even go to the camera.

Yeah I already noticed when it gets wet, it’s hard to see. And probably sooner or later bugs and dirt will be a big problem when driving on the Highway!

Most likely will not support this camera. Unless there is another wire that is named differently.

No this is only to watch in front of you. You would need a dash cam to record for you.

So far I have been loving it! It’s really quick. Using Wireless Apple CarPlay is awesome!
How you connect the power to the button on the steering?
I actually show you how I do it at 13:30 in the video.
You just need to make sure you have an android radio that supports the steering wheel controls.
And then there should be an app called SW controls. And that’s where you should be able to find and link the camera to a button.
How much have you spent on the mods so far?
I haven’t added it up recently, but including my wheels and tires, and everything else I have probably spent around 5k-6k.
Does your music stops too after switching to front camera?
It does not. And if your music stops when you go into reverse, there is a setting to adjust the volume of music when in reverse.

If you connect it straight to the battery, it will be constantly on and drain the battery eventually.

I believe you are talking about the steering wheel. If you already have steering wheel controls, there is a setting called SWC and that allows you to set each one.
If you do not have them, you will have to upgrade your steering wheel with a new one with the buttons.
@@BrandonStellmach mine has buttons, the thing is I bought an aftermarket radio got it connected and it’s working but there are some wires left not connected and I don’t know which ones to connect for the steering wheel buttons to work with the radio.

When I upgraded my steering wheel to a corolla S steering wheel. I also changed out my clock spring for all the correct wires. And after I did that my steering wheel controls worked.
@@BrandonStellmach steering wheel buttons work and are connected. The front camera just needs to be connected to ACC and program the button in the radio settings.?
@@mateusz7020 yes you need to connect it to ACC power, and then plug the video plug into the other yellow cable. And then you can program it to any button on the steering wheel!

No you can’t, because the camera doesn’t have a DVR hooked up to it.

There really is not many places that would do this. I would recommend you and a buddy just try to tackle this for a weekend project!

No this will not, it’s only for viewing!
Sir acc of the reverse cam its okey to connect the acc connection of the frontcam.
The reverse cam should only be hooked up to the reverse wire. If you hooked up the front camera to the same wire. The front camera will only work in reverse. And you don’t want that. So I would recommend you hook them up to 2 different sources.
