Could have mentioned that the temple of ancients are in a total different locations. In ff7o, the temple is in the south, the woodland area while ff7 rebirth is in the north...
it would have been interesting if the city of the ancients was another region to explore with 4 sidequests and a few other things just to use what it is but idk if this would not be actual bloat
The last place I left off in this game was after the Tiny Bronco breaks down on the way to Gold Saucer to get the key to the temple, so needless to say I'm very nervous about getting to the City of the Ancients, because I'm not ready to say goodbye to Aerith but also I'm going to be very angry if she DOESN'T die.
Just a little thing I noticed. The bald bar Rude is a part of in Rebirth is absolutely in the original, they just aren't as overt with it being a bar for bald people.
I mean its all nice that the locations now feel like proper locations and not like the "city" with 3 houses or somh...BUT just the amount of "puzzles" and "minigames" that have been put there that add nothing but are suppose to give you the sense of "more content" puts me off. I don't mind good sidequest but stupid filler stuff just to "make game bigger" is annoying and deviates you from the main goal.
Thanks for this but you kind of glossed over that huge ascent of Mt. Nibel, which I especially loved (more particularly, the music here and other music, which Nobuo Uematsu San was the composer for).
Sooo you can actually go into the ‘clock tower’ in OG although it’s not actually a ‘clock tower’ in that version. It is where you get a gun for Vincent. You can then ‘look out the window’ and you’ll appear from the outside shot, standing in the window.
I am 36 and I remember trading my cousin NBA Jam and some pogs for FF7 on PlayStation and it was my favorite game of all time. Just playing Remake and Rebirth has been an incredibly nostalgic experience. Square Enix please remake FF10 now!
Actually you can access the clock tower in the original FF7. I didn't even know that until after my second time playing the game. Nothing interesting happens though, you just see Cloud's head.
If I had a nickel for every JRPG released in 2024 with a seaside resort city you can explore by Segway I would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Cid runs an airfare service, basically, that's how. You find an airstrip and send up a smoke signal and he'll pick you up, at least until the Tiny Bronco breaks down later on. Cid is pretty neat and I don't mind that you meet him outside of Rocket Town this time, though I do wish it was in the game, but then again most of the important stuff that happens in Rocket Town happened in Disc 2, and Rebirth basically covers the rest of Disc 1 after Midgar, which actually was about half the game since Disc 3 didn't have much on it.
It’s funny seeing the entire northern areas all covered in clouds I know that area is still under development right now till they finally release part III
I've beat 4 ff games 7 9 10 and 16 but I've beat 7 like 10 plus times and beat all weapons 7 graphicly even at its time left a lot to be desired and not to sound band wagon but it truly is the best the story the time period everything. Behind that 9 is my second fav and pumped for it's remake. I was hoping 7 would be turn based so hopefully 9 will just be enhanced graphics the remakes are good but they are not challenging at all
Gongaga was worse to me. At least in Cosmo Canyon once you reach a chocobo launch pad it unlocks as a fast travel. The mushrooms in Gongaga don't and it's almost impossible to predict where they go. The map doesn't help much figuring out how to reach some places either.
@@chamoo232 Oh yeah I guess I should have specified in terms of aesthetic, I just didn't like the tourist vibes. But yeah gongaga is a pain to traverse
Nothing happen in forgotten capital aside from aerith death and getting lunar harp minecraft style would be waste of time. It would kill the pacing on the final moments which should be the higher of highs.
Plenty of things I either loved and disliked about the game, but I was really looking forward to the City of Ancients. Was severely disappointed that they bloated the temple and made City of Ancients unexplorable.
The expanded areas arent so bad.... that being said, there is bloat. The forced slowdown areas, and unnecessary added sequences sometime detract from the original intent. Midgar swarmr for one, and cruise ship. Got other examples but ill save em. In remake the worst part was plate drop. What was once a mad scramble in a panic to stop an atrocity only to fail and lose EVERYONE! Turns into a 1 hour thing where we slowly walk through and manage to somehow save everyone..... shinra went from psychos who murdered a whole burough to people who just caused property damage. Major cop-out. Maybe in 20 - 30 years it'll get another remake and they'll bridge the gap between the versions .... or make it worse lol
the original in my head is realistic 4k graphics , i completed the original about 20 times , took it to school and to work .i just cant play the remake i just dont like the battle system . i liked the minimalistic areas myself of the original

4:16 This is one of my favorite jokes I’ve seen in awhile. I’ll never un-see that. I’m a simple man, apparently 😂🙂
Aw man I don’t have my name at the end anymore :-(
Absolutely love your content though man. Thank you for your work!!
I am 36 and I remember trading my cousin NBA Jam and some pogs for FF7 on PlayStation and it was my favorite game of all time. Just playing Remake and Rebirth has been an incredibly nostalgic experience. Square Enix please remake FF10 now!
Why? FFX is perfect the way it is. More filler won't make it any better.
If anything, they should create a remake of FFVI or FFVIII.
Actually you can access the clock tower in the original FF7. I didn't even know that until after my second time playing the game.
Nothing interesting happens though, you just see Cloud's head.
This video should start with Remake. People forget how small is Midgar in the OG compare to the scale of the city.
If I had a nickel for every JRPG released in 2024 with a seaside resort city you can explore by Segway I would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I'm only at Gongaga this point. If there is no rocket town how the hell we get tiny bronco and meet with Cid???
Cid runs an airfare service, basically, that's how. You find an airstrip and send up a smoke signal and he'll pick you up, at least until the Tiny Bronco breaks down later on. Cid is pretty neat and I don't mind that you meet him outside of Rocket Town this time, though I do wish it was in the game, but then again most of the important stuff that happens in Rocket Town happened in Disc 2, and Rebirth basically covers the rest of Disc 1 after Midgar, which actually was about half the game since Disc 3 didn't have much on it.
I hopep they do the same for FFIX
You can actually enter the clock tower in OG FF7
Man I gotta get this game 😅
Buy it!
It’s funny seeing the entire northern areas all covered in clouds I know that area is still under development right now till they finally release part III
Who's this Bart person he keeps mentioning?
Sony really needs to do a proper multi-game remake just like this for The Legend of Dragoon.
Please just came out on pc already😢
I've beat 4 ff games 7 9 10 and 16 but I've beat 7 like 10 plus times and beat all weapons 7 graphicly even at its time left a lot to be desired and not to sound band wagon but it truly is the best the story the time period everything. Behind that 9 is my second fav and pumped for it's remake. I was hoping 7 would be turn based so hopefully 9 will just be enhanced graphics the remakes are good but they are not challenging at all
They did a great job
+1 FF VI comparison next
I've really enjoyed the game but I do not like what they did with cid character and the end game content
The only area I don't like very much in rebirth was cosmo canyon, I get what they were doing with it but yeah
It’s disappointing how the last chapter was rushed. We don’t get bone village or the opportunity to explore the forgotten capital
We will revisit the Forgotten Capital in next game when we return with Bugenhagen, I'm sure they saved it for then.
Nothing happen in forgotten capital aside from aerith death and getting lunar harp minecraft style would be waste of time. It would kill the pacing on the final moments which should be the higher of highs.
They had to save enough for disc 3 so I'm sure we will get to. The Weapons will probably evolve to their original OG forms as well.
Plenty of things I either loved and disliked about the game, but I was really looking forward to the City of Ancients. Was severely disappointed that they bloated the temple and made City of Ancients unexplorable.
You have to compare the various versions of the simpsons game please🙏
Maybe in 20 - 30 years it'll get another remake and they'll bridge the gap between the versions .... or make it worse lol
the original in my head is realistic 4k graphics , i completed the original about 20 times , took it to school and to work .i just cant play the remake i just dont like the battle system . i liked the minimalistic areas myself of the original
umm, Actually this is not acoustic guitar, its acoustic Bass and its in normal size.
Bro sounds like an enthusiastic version of moistcritikal
lol Mr. Dolphin confirmed to be the main villain hahaha
Is this a real commercial? Seporoth is nothing to mess with 😅
Rocket town and bone village are just blank pictures? 😂
