I get the feeling like Part 3 will be bigger than we expect it to be. The interviews mentioned the devs saying they do want to implement the Highwind properly, so I think that's safe. Free flying and roaming all over. I'm sure the old areas will be expanded a little bit with this in mind. They'll keep a lot of the story, as usual, with adding a few new things. I can see Deepground being a part of the return to Midgar bit, maybe even in Wutai. Maybe to give Vincent a bit more to do and take them out. With how they're pulling from everywhere in the compilation in order to create this massive trilogy for the fans, yeah. Ultimate summons will definitely get their own mini stories too like Knights of the Round and the rest. Maybe we'll even see Bahamut Sin as a VR fight. With the anniversary happening around the time it comes out, I'm sure they'll want to put as much as they can in it and wrap up the trilogy in a satisfying way for the fans.
The scene where Cloud buries Aerith will totally be in the section where Cloud recovers his memories in the lifestream, too. There's no way they'd leave it out of Rebirth without planning to bring it up at a pivotal moment in Part 3
It'd definitely be in part 3. Cloud probably won't remember her burial until later. Otherwise, heading straight to snowboarding after the death like the og will be kinda awkward 😂
I personally think they’ll do it when Cloud is in the lifestream with Tifa, since that’s the moment his mind is meant to finally be fixed and not messed up like it currently is
There are a few major things you didn't mention. Knights of the Round will DEFINITELY have its own side-story, as the ultimate summon materia. I also think they will do the Gelnika ship wreck underwater, as that was basically the super-dungeon, that had most of the toughest enemies in the game. Also the Ancient Forest was a cool area, that would work as an interesting optional dungeon area. If they cut anything, I think it might be Mideel. They could easily just use another town to fill that role. Somewhere like Gongaga, which would work quite well given its connection to Zack, and the fact that Cissnei is part of it now.
I doubt they will cut Mideel. They need enough new locations in the sequel and Rebirth has already introduced most of the towns from the original. Rebirth had like 6 whole regions with towns in them and I can only think of 4 areas that could be turned into a region from here on, and Mideel is one of them. The icy area up North, Mideel, Wutai, and Rocket Town are the 4 regions I'm thinking of. They will surely return to some regions, but the sequel needs enough new regions to warrant being it's own game.
@@darrenmacqueen9884 I don't think they really NEED that many new locations. We're definitely getting the rest of the northern continent, and then the Wutai continent, along with Rocket town. Then all of the new areas that open up in past locations, especially Junon and Midgar. I think that's quite a lot. We don't really need part 3 to be the same as part 2 in terms of it's new environments. It can just be more story and cutscene focused.
@garywood97 While I agree that it doesn't need as many new locations as Rebirth, I still removing any of the new locations we have left would be silly. I really can't think of any reason to justify it. So far the strategy has been to make this bigger than the original, why would they start cutting locations now?
One thing for sure, SE would've changed the whole cat fight scene. Instead of Tifa against Scarlett, it'd be Yuffie by how they pushed her hatred on that old hag
I agree with you because it would also make sense for Yuffie to go inside the shinra gas chamber instead of Tifa , because Not only because Yuffie is from Wutai, but also the conflict between Shinra and Wutai. And hopefully we can go to Wutai for the first time after Cloud’s mind is fully restored because all characters need to be on deck and playable for the Wutai portion.
Or they could combine the two ideas. I mean what was the rest of the party doing during this time anyway? Since Yuffie was optional in the original maybe they’ll have it where she infiltrates Shinra to rescue Tifa and Barret so that it still plays out the same but incorporates Yuffie so we could have a battle/minigame where Tifa and Yuffie join forces to fight Scarlet. How fun would that be?
@@Andrewweiland4509 This would actually be a FANTASTIC way to go about it. Have Yuffie be the public execution, and that's what really gets the Wutai war to rile up, because isn't Yuffie the daughter of Wutai's leader? They'll send in the cavalry to save the "heir" or whatever. Shinra will also know of this so it'll be planned and there will be a huge battle and we escape in the meantime and probably run off to Wutai and get some lore drops there.
Like you said, we'll probably get an extended lifestream segment with Tifa and Cloud. Because TIfa already got so much tutorials on it from the weapons in the second game, plus now tifa has the additional task of unpacking the whole "Cloud being in denial about Aerith's death" thing, so we'll probably got the full version of that scene too without the weird cuts.
Well Aerith could also be part of it like guiding Tifa considering she’s the one that helped Tifa with the white whispers last time. She’s also the one that could most likely stop Sephiroth down there. I do think Zack will help though.
TOTK had an entire sky and underground section and we don't think FF7 can do it? cmon man lol. Amazing video, I can't stop thinking about how everything will look in part 3.
well it can but will it be enough, totk was amazing BUT there really wasn't much to do in the sky section, and the underground was just finding old items. But they'll probably make them cool sections but maybe not that massive if there not much to do in them so other things can be focused on
@@lulukomadori9651the depths was basically the whole map. There’s bosses to fight,a temple down there and a final level. So there’s a lot more to do than what you’re saying
I think the devs have heavily implied that they've figured out how to make seamless flying in an open world with the highwind so I'm totally expecting underwater sections to be fully realized as well
A lot of people still don’t seem to understand the Lifestream Event and what it is exactly that ultimately helps Cloud know he’s real and not a puppet…and it’s not about the reveal of Zack. That helps to resolve his identity but not if he’s a real person or not. Zack nor anyone else will be able to help him with this. Even the memory of them as kids and the water tower promise isn’t proof enough that he is the real Cloud because they could be memories that Jenova has concocted using her mimetic abilities and reading them from Tifa. That also goes for anything Zack would try to explain; it could be a Jenova fake-out. The ultimate way Cloud realizes he’s the real Cloud is reconciling something he remembers from his childhood with Tifa that Jenova couldn’t copy from Tifa’s memories because Tifa herself had lost her memories at the time of their fall off Mt. Nibel. That is the key and it seems a lot of folks have forgotten that part. I agree there will be some additional extras and details, but that event in the Lifestream is for the purpose of Cloud coming to terms of who he is and realizing he’s a real person and he has to reach back into his most “precious, tender memories no else can know” for that to happen.
Super insane, that for sure. I still think the FF7 Remake series did one thing right, made the old fans love it. So much care and love into scenes/locations/references they could of only imagine back as an kid as they cry, very heartwarming. Like can anyone actually name an remake series that made many streamers tear up?
The reason for areas being locked down in part 3 was mentioned in Rebirth. The looming war restarting was expected to shut down borders around the world.
With all the additional outfits, expect snow gear in Re-Three. Even the Advent Children outfits would be sweet (though I'm hoping AC be a playable DLC after the third game).
I’m expecting Beck’s bikers, Shinra Middle Manager (Curtis,) Kyrie and Mireille, the Seventh Infantry, Cissnei, Zack and Aerith timeline shenanigans, Corneo, Leslie, Jules and his meatheads, Johnny, Madam M and Andrea, chocobo breeding, return to the item shop that shoots at you in Wall Market, more Chocobo Sam…etc etc. oh, and of course Chadley. Then all the story things. Also, what timeline is Zack in at the end of Intermission?
Honestly most of what I can imagine for part 3 is how much they can expand on Tifa's character, as well as her relationship with Cloud. And there is a lot that they can do with her, like A LOT a lot. Like an entire game mechanic centred around Tifa and the party defeating all 128 of Zangan's disciples. And similar to the temple of the ancients we can switch between Cloud and Tifa's perspectives at the Northern Crator, and near the end perhaps have a one on one fight between her and Cloud in an attempt to bring him to his senses. Maybe a whole section of Junon could have Tifa making her way to the cannon and then running into the 7th infantry, affectionately referring to her as "Leutenaut" or something 🤣 then her and party would visit Cosmo Canyon to find clues on Cloud's whereabouts, and whilst there perhaps Tifa could actually successfully convince the villagers that her story of her experience in the lifestream was true and rally them to do whatever it takes to help save the planet. And i could think of a hundred different ways they could expand the Mideel section, as well as her and Cloud's trip in the lifestream. Also I can't imagine that the events at the Northern Crator will take place within the first few chapters of part 3; something obviously will prevent them pressing onward. I can't help how they'll build things up before the big turning point.
I think we will have fully explorable map through Highwind. That's probably why we even had these on-rails segments for Tiny Bronco and Meridian Ocean, they were most likely testing the waters for these systems and will expand them properly in the third game. I'm also very curious how Tifa split will work in game and how much time it will have in game as her role pretty much means she may become a secondary playable character in that part. As for new things, I feel that what Rebirth was setting up with the multiverse thingie was choice and consequence system - that at certain points we will have choices that may slightly change the story
The worst part about FF7 Remake and Rebirth, even worse than all the unnecessary filler, was having to re-organise your equipped materia every single time the story forced the party to split up.
Cloud is going to have a hard time coming to terms with Zack and Aerith's deaths. And man he completely lost it at the ending. Final Fantasy VII: Rehab looking promising.
I think part 3 will start in Rocket Town since it was skipped in Rebirth. Tiny Bronco was fixed so Palmer can have it shot down. Also Huge Materia will be included since it was already introduced in Rebirth as Magnus Materia...
My theory for pt3 and Zack's part is yeah he would be helping Tifa in getting Cloud back. The most likely even is when they meet up at mideel. He might be there first or arrive tad late surprising everyone. They the sequence would follow as the OG up to the weapon attack wherein he would lend a hand in driving it away. And once done, he might be the one to find Cloud and Tifa washed ashore. Then, as Cloud narrates his past, he would be ashamed that he never made it into soldier, while Tifa would definitely be encouraging him, Zack would remind him that he was the one who placed Sephiroth in his current state. Along with the in depth explanation what happened in the 4 or 5 years that went on between Nibelheim and Midgar. Everyone would be further horrified on Cloud's experience.
With the concept of the Multiverse now canon, id like to see a proper Supernova, where Sephiroth teleports them to a doomed universe and casts the move. A crazy stagger chain event will take place and if you fail you get an extended, violent, and brutal cutscene of the entire world engulfed by the sun.
I wonder if the third game will have a similar system to Rebirth where your interactions with party members will dictate who Cloud hangs out with before the Sephiroth fight.
Hamaguchi said that they will do a different system involving relationships but it won't be like Rebirth. I think the system only really works for Rebirth anyways.
This is what I was expecting too. Both Remake and Rebirth had a system where your choices affects which character you meet for a key moment near the end of the game, I'm sure part 3 will as well. And that moment seems the most likely for it.
The Deepground stuff would definitely be a part of the game. Maybe Shinra has them guarding Midgard or unleashes them on the Weapons, the Northern Crater or even Wutai, the latter especially since it would tie into Yuffie’s trauma with Nero. They could very well be bosses throughout the game (side story and main quest) and Shelke’s early redemption could be a factor. Maybe Arch Azul replaces the FFVII Behemoth boss, since the party dealt with the type 0 Behemoth in a side mission in part one.
I think they are saving the Deepground stuff for future DLC. Rebirth will probably get DLC where you play as Vincent and Yuffie to continue that story. The "ultimate materia" they mentioned is almost definitely the protomateria from Dirge of Cerberus. I expect they are going to tell some version of that story over the course of 3 DLC chapters, 1 for each game.
I think Genesis will also come in. Also we don’t know Sephiroth’s true intentions. That meteor scene shown early in Remake almost made it seem like Cloud and him were standing as allies back to back.
@@The3rownie Apparently Ever Crisis has a bit which is making Seph more of a "hero", but haven't watched it all myself yet. I can't fully explain why, but I am kinda getting...Dissidia vibes? I didn't actually play that series but I know they had a cinematic where the heroes and villains do battle to draw out whoever is "controlling" the endless battles in the series. What if "7 seconds to the end" is the window in which Cloud would have to deal a blow to that major villain and break them all free. And of course my guess on this would be that Jenova is that major villain. What if Seph being a villain is Jenova in control of him, and we occasionally see a Seph (at Edge of Creation and such) that is still the war hero wannabe, and this is all a big orchestration by true Seph to help the whole world break free of Jenova, including him.
I think they will greatly expand Vincent’s story in part 3. Yuffie has gotten a dlc and a lot more time in rebirth so it only stands to reason that Vincent will have several sections dedicated to him
With Vincent being the other minor character in the OG, I think it would be fair that he gets his own DLC too, but I've also been riding on the entire Rocket Town region as a potential DLC which would give us a tease on Cid's combat mechanics...
I never thought about them possibly doing an actual flashback sequence of Ifalna and Professor Gast for the opening. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s exactly what they do. It would start with Aerith’s birth, remind us that she’s still alive in Cloud’s mind (even though she’s dead) then eventually culminate with Cloud accepting her death by remembering the water burial sequence towards the end of the game. Damn, if that’s what they do, that water burial sequence is gonna hit HARD.
I believe there's the possibility for Aerith interludes, like we got with Zack in Rebirth. Aerith's arc can follow the Maiden Who Travels the Planet story where she helps out the likes of Biggs, Wedge, Jessie and even Dyne within the lifestream. Been thinking about the Corel train sequence whether both scenarios (saving North Corel or failing to stop the train) will make it into the game. New locations to visit like Banora (near Mideel), Modeoheim (near Icicle Inn) and random areas like this refinery east of Rocket Town. That region could be completely industrial. During the return to Midgar, the intro/prologue to Dirge of Cerberus could be re-enacted with Yuffie and Vincent - as it'll be likely that teams will be split up too.
I think we're not ready for Part 3. I'm talk 60-80 hours of story content. It's going to be bigger than Rebirth for sure. The crazy thing is that much of the games assets are finished. Gameplay requires minor tweaking. If Square is putting this game on priority mode... we're talking a teaser next year, gameplay in 2026, and the release set for early 2027.
Great prediction of part 3, just missing the most important part my friend. The developers have said that they plan to carry the story and connect it to advent children movie so I think they will also expand into dirge of cerberus story 😮
There's no way SE hasn't already budgeted this series to the end. And SE is still fine, they just didn't make as much profit as they planned, and lost money in some sections from failed/never released projects, which they still made up for elsewhere.
@@Kanriel Regarding FF7 Rebirth not selling better at release I think there are many factors including it only being available on PS5, peoples backlog, and the price tag. I am playing the game right now, and its amazing. I believe in the long run more people are going to buy and want to play this masterpiece. I have no doubt the trilogy will one day be considered among the greatest of all time.
@@belgianbull4722 Also the marketing was so bad. I don't know about you, but I wasn't seeing Rebirth on the sides of busses and billboards. There wasn't even a big, front-and-centre poster of it in GAME. I really hope sales get a second wind when it comes out on PC.
@@belgianbull4722 I hope so. I really think Rebirth is a masterpiece and a new standard for JRPGs, but the sales and non-critical reception don’t reflect that
I think you’re going to start off with playable Vincent as you try to get to the northern crater but won’t have a playable cid until after his backstory. It was set up in chapter 13 that cid wasn’t trying to fight alongside the party. I think this will be expanded upon when you get to rocket town with something along the lines of the fight was taken out of him that day he didn’t reach space and he will reclaim it after hearing how sheera actually saved him.
i think theres always the chance that the rebirth dlc can expand upon one of these plot points... whether that's more yuffie and the wutai stuff, or vincent's back story, or cid's back story... who knows... but they can definitely use it to cover a smaller section if needed.
My only question is how early will the real Cloud show up? Midway? Earler? Later? And how long will Cloud and Tifa be out of the party? Will they make Wutai with or without Cloud and Tifa etc? Either the game will be massive or more like Remake, thighter more linear and only opening up at the later stage of the game.
I think Glacier part will be moved for a later part of the game. The best starting point that will act as our chapter 1/tutorial is actuially northernt crater/windmaze, and we get there using Tiny bronco. We spend the first hour or two playing as super OP Dark materia Cloud, then The meteor gets summoned, Weapons are awakened and Cloud goes missing, a perfect setup. Our Chpater 2 will be Escape from Junon and Finding Cloud in mideel. I think they actually might move Cloud mindscape scene a bit earlier, before Huge Materia, and only after we get full party will the quest for Huge materia, weapons and Knights of round (I like the idea of Maximillion Dood that it's gona be part of main story) begin. northern glacier might be used as a stage for a Jade Weapon fight (it's from the Before Crisis mobile game, but i still think it's canon and might be a chance to reintroduce it)
Hopefully we'll see more of the Cetra. That cutscene in the first one and the part in the Temple Of The Ancients were interesting but it still feels like we could find out more about them.
I'm pretty positive, Cloud's breakdown, Meteor's summoning, Sapphire Weapons attack on Junon, Cloud's subconsciousness, the rocket launch, and Diamond Weapons attack on Midgar will happen.
I think the whole war with Wutai is just gonna be an excuse for the party to go there. Where Yuffie will try and convince her father not to fight Shinra and she has to go through the same fights she did as the og as a means to prove herself.
In FFVII Remake Part 3 whenever Cloud faces Shirtless Sephiroth, I really hope it actually becomes the true final boss instead of just using Omnislash to finish him off (or have the Counter Materia equipped to let him attack you and survive (all the time), and then you slice him once to instantly kill him). For my prediction whenever you face Shirtless Sephiroth in Remake Part 3, you cannot kill Sephiroth until you fill up the Limit meter to use Omnislash, and you can actually get a Game Over in that phase if you fail to use Omnislash on him.
I, for one, wouldn't like that. First mano a mano fight with Sephiroth at the end of Remake was just a cutscene where Sephiroth completely dominated, lazily playing around until effortlessly disarming Cloud. At the end of Rebirth Cloud could go toe to toe with Sephiroth but only because he had help. A real fight. Makes sense to me that at the end of Reunite it goes full circle, Cloud curbstomps Sephiroth and it will be a QTE at best, like Loveless play. But let's see.
I think Cloud will be out of commission for longer, and Tifa “repairing his mind” with be a harder process. Zack will probably join the party in clouds absence
That would mean Zack is in the main world, if that's the case, why can't Aerith or any other dead character come back too? I don't think it's going to happen, Zack will stay dead
@@CaliforniaRaisens Zack and aerith will definitely stay dead, but a big part of the 3rd game will be developing Zack and having him interact with the main party before he’s gone. There MUST be some reason they keep putting so much emphasis on Zack (cover of the game, re releasing crisis core), because so far he’s barely a part of the story.
@@CaliforniaRaisens I think we will see Zack in some capacity in the main world. I'm iffy on how they'll end this, but there IS a chance at a "multiple endings" scenario, one of which would have Aerith and Zack alive, there's also a chance where only one might be alive, and maybe they go down in the final battle to even things up with how things were initially. I'm going to keep this as my headcanon until I play part 3 for this simple, meta reason: In the OG the final battle has you split into 3 groups of 3...but you're missing someone. I think they'll bring in Zack as your 9th for the battle, and they'll storymode him to be with Aerith somehow. So if Aerith is somehow revived, he can live, if Aerith is perma lifestream, he'll go join her there.
@@Kanriel There probobly going to make it so Cloud can see Zack, just like he can see Aerith at the end. This would line up with AC as he could see both. I just do not see them bringing either Aerith or Zack back alive, if they do, then anyone can be bought back to life. Death will become meaningless to the world of FF7 which would go against everything in the compilation, games and books.
@@CaliforniaRaisens Yes, but easy to make it no. You could very easily have this qualifier put in: Separate worlds are natural and necessary for the lifestream to continue to survive. As such, that means Zack and Aerith cannot survive (for long) on the main branch with everyone else. So they could come for a visit, but have to end up elsewhere. While I think there is a long shot chance at a true happy ending, I'm pretty certain the end of the game will have Zack and Aerith 'dead' or at least off the main world and together. But I think there's still a good bit more for Zack to play in the story, so I feel there will be more than just a couple cameo's for him.
Since Aerith is "dead" now, I don't think she'll be taken out of combat fully. Yes we'll be gaining Cid & Vincent as party members so we still come out with a net gain of +1. But it would suck to lose Aerith as a playable character when we've had 2 games with her. BUT if Square wanted to still include her combat, it would be cool if she was purely a support character (from behind the scenes) that could set wards on the field. Could be charged through something similar to the synergy system. As Cloud is the only one that can interact with her, it would somehow be tied to his character. Obviously we didn't have her passed disc 1 in the original, but idc I don't wanna lose her!
I feel like Wutai and Yuffie stealing your material will be the tutorial section of the game as an excuse to why we start from scratch in part 3. Then at the end of the tutorial the materia is lost somehow. Her eyeing out your materia before joining your party indicates for sure that it’ll happen at some point and at the beginning of part 3 sounds very ideal to me
That wouldn't really make sense given that they're currently on the northern continent, and heading north. The starting area will almost definitely be Icicle Inn. I think Wutai will happen after Cloud falls into the lifestream, and you're out around the world looking for him!
@@garywood97 I think thats possible to write in by doing it in several ways. either by that she yoinks your materia right at the start of the game and disappears and she isn’t playable for a couple of chapters and you continue with icicle inn and then pursue her later in the game in Wutai. Or that they take a detour because the urgency of the materia being stolen. Then again, it’s just speculations but i have a feeling that it’ll definitely happen in the intro just so they can start you off from scratch
I don't think so, although it is a good possiblity. I believe we will go to Icicle Inn First. Northern Continent will be an Act 1. Here is How I see it. Act 1: Catalclysm Bone Village Icicle Inn Icicle Inn Area Northern Crater Act II: Search Junion Escape Wutai Gongaga Mideel Act III: Materia Mt. Corel Rocket Town Lifestream Underwater Reactor Fort Condor Cosmo Canyon Forgotten Capital Midgar Act IV: Redemption End Game Content Character Focus Section *Cloud & Tifa - Nibelheim *Barret & Cait Sith- Midgar *Red XIII - Cosmo Canyon *Cid - Rocket Town *Yuffie - Wutai *Vincent - Lucrecia *Cloud & Tifa - Gongaga Northern Crater
They didn't feel the need to explain why you start from scratch in Rebirth, I doubt they will here. I hate when games like Metroid and Kingdom Hearts always feel the need to explain why you don't have the weapons or abilities from the previous game. It always feels cheap and forced. And if they did do what you suggest, it would only explain the lack of materia. Not the lack of weapons, equipment, and accessories. So it wouldn't even work.
I personally think that a huge part of remake 3 will take place in a bigger version of wutai. Because if they want to continue with the game being an open world game like rebirth , they have to create some areas to fill the game with content. And I don’t think that the third game will be very linear in story oriented like the first game
The huge materia plot point could be easily removed but something tells me that nomura would add it up on the story and make it more convoluted somehow
Dude...I played Tricky over last winter and looked at the bonus behind the scenes content.....the coding that went into that game was insane....like....so much love went into all that to get the feel right. The nuiance between all of the friction counters with turns and sfx varients was mind boggling.... ....I would forgive square enix for skipping the snowboarding haha!
Of course the developers knew the ending of the remake trilogy by rebirth’s release, they had to know it even earlier. Lol. Also, the original’s ending has nothing to do with Holy “being too late”. Holy’s purpose was not to be the counterpart of Meteor. Its purpose was to “cleanse the planet of all threats”, which does not exclude the humans who are sucking the planet dry, causing it to give out cries of pain as Midgar’s technology saps it dry. That’s why Holy was holding Meteor, and even let it in slightly, not caring about the humans that would be lost as long as Midgar and the threat of its Mako-sucking technology is also destroyed before it would then blast Meteor back into the cosmos. Aeris, experiencing firsthand the precious lives that would be lost in Midgar, then takes it upon herself to guide/use the lifestream to help her protect the lives of those she knew were precious, and worth saving. Holy was cast at the end of disc 1. There is nothing about it that is “too late” for anything.
the bits where dead aerith is talking with cloud in the forgotten capital is 100% jenova fucking with cloud, I think they'll develop Jenova as a character since in the original she's just a plot device that's subservient to sephiroth
I’m surprised you didn’t talk about how would the WEAPON battles be executed. Not only that they’re bigger than FF15 Adamantoise, but some of them are aerial and underwater. Just how would they make these battles satisfying when the combat system doesn’t suit fighting that big and in difficult environment.
11:58 well I bet most people dont know but you CAN fail to get all 4 Huge Materia missions in Original FF7. It wont, in the end change anything but you can. This is where in OG we got content cut. FMV we see of rocket hiting Meteor was ment to be for game where player fail at least one Huge Materia mission as there is an explosion. Squaresoft planed to be second FMV with no effect too but was cut. It would be nice if they sohow incorporate it in Remake part 3 but who knows. As it does ad to moral dilema of the situation.
I think they will because there are hints to it in Goldsaucer. There's a big picture of the snowboarding mini game but the area is closed. I assume it will be open in part 3 after you do the snowboarding part that is if they allow you to go back to Goldsaucer.
@@alexwhite4885 Part 3 has just as much places left to visit and the story will be more focused and there's more content. Best believe. Disc 2 is more denser in content than disc 1 in the original game.
FF7 part 3 is gonna be like Spider Man No Way Home, Avengers Endgame, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 levels of hype!!! Oh my god. Im gonna need more of this!!!! At least they can get the story right and gives me the best finale of the trilogy.
Gonna be honest, i don’t want Zack actually in the lifestream scene at all. What I think they’re gonna do is the same thing they did in the original along adding what actually happened to Zack in it since in the original it was a hidden scene in nibelheim. Tifa asked cloud in rebirth where he was the last few years and he didn’t know, that will be answered to the both of them in part 3
The fight against (Bizarro) Sephiroth Reborn is still going to happen in the final battle just going to be different from Rebirth's version of the fight
I don't see why we wouldn't have the submarine in part III, it's such an iconic part of the game Plus, Yuffie's Wutai stuff and Vicent's backstory wouldn't be in a dlc, it's clear that they want to bring them to the forefront like the other party members
Id imagine they’re going to pick up in Rocket town then take a detour to Wutai which will probably take up maybe a third of the game before they go to Icicle Inn
We will be starting off approaching Rocket Town on a whole new continent that will also house spin-off locations such as Banora. OR they change up the Palmer fight location and we are grounded before getting there. I cant think of a better starting boss than Palmer who will mess up our straight shot to the crater via grounding the Bronco. From here Wutai might become a force plot point as we find a way north. THAN we snowboard and get lost in the glacier. There is NO way we are just going to 'fly over all the bullshit' and meet Rufus in the maze. They didnt build up Sephiroths plot with Rufus for nothing. Who knows.. We might even get more characters as alternate parties. Imagine being the Turks for a chapter. People would make Reno climb Sister Ray 100%
Rocket Town region is definitely the area hidden under clouds on the map, as Wutai will be located further to the west - much like how Mideel and the Southern Continent isn't shown on the current map either. Banora will also be down there too.
I made a comment on another video about how... maybe the GI came from another planet after their creation, Jenova destroyed theirs. Then, Jenova followed them to the new planet and they were rejected for bringing this destructive force to FF7 planet. Probably not, but something like that could work. I mean, imagine if they were somehow tied into Jenova's story....in any case it would be great to see expanded story about where and how Jenova came into being. Was it created by some other advanced civilization millennia ago, or was there a society of Jenova beings? Is it just like a more advanced form of a virus but with limited consciousness (it can't feel emotions etc)? Maybe the Gi had something to do with that?
Considering the commercial letdown it was the game may become smaller than expected, but we will see. Wutai will definitely get more involved, but beyond that I have no idea where things are headed. I'm most curious for what they'll do with Cid and Rocket Town though... will we get grumpy Cid back? Will we be told to sit down and drink our &%*€ tea? I wait with bated breath.
They really screwed the pooch by ending Rebirth after Aerith dies. It should’ve ended after Cloud falls into the lifestream and Sephiroth summons meteor.
While I'm sure Part 3 is still in production, it seems Square-Enix is not in the best shape with all of the news that were recently confirmed, with them declaring that they will focus more on multiplatform development, the fact that they fired some of its staff from their U.S. and Europe branches and the fact that they confirmed that FF XVI, VII Remake and Foamstars failed to meet their sales expectations
@@Advorsaeresdocet I don't think Square-Enix is going to cancel Part 3, it's too big of a project to just shelve it, not to mention that they already mentioned they're recording dialog and are writing the story
Are we sure those remakes are a trilogy? With the amount of content left, I doubt they'll put everything into one last game. Either it's two games, or they use the multiverse thing and actually go on a completely different story for the third one.
@@coreymckee4844 And the final season of Shingeki no Kyojin was two seasons and a movie. Plans change. What I'm wondering is how are they going to compact the reminder of the original game into one, as it seems just too big.
@@Mew_Stor 2TB would be perfect. That would definitely make me want to get one. IDK about just 1TB though. Thinking ahead. If FF7 pt 3 is really another 200 GB, that means the complete game would be almost 500 GB. And when GTA6 comes out, i can imagine that game would probably be very large. Guessing between 200 - 300 GB. Which means i would basically have only 2 games on my PS5 if it’s only 1TB. If the pro isn’t going to have significant spec bumps (not like it needs it), then storage space should be the selling point, especially with most games being so big. At this point, having 1 TB would feel like a slap in the face.
I think we'll only go to rocket town once, during the huge materia part to save time. But probably after Cloud's 'holiday'. Someone else said maybe we get Cloud back at Corel with the doctor from Rebirth. Could be another way to save development time by including that in the Corel part of the huge materia plot.
All I want is my materia from remake and rebirth to transfer over I had so many combinations I wanted to try out and try to be op haha 😂 And my all my equipment too
@@amm2media472 Well fair enough. Personally, I prefer that as a sequel to the original over Dirge of Cerberus ( i liked DoC, but the team already saved the world so it's kind of an unnecessary story extension)
I'm sure they will still have the 4 huge materia. This was a big callback to the 4 elemental crystals from the earlier games and I don't think they'd remove it. If anything, it'll be expanded upon since they need to fill up a whole game. I'm pretty sure that romantic evening right before the final battle will be this game's version of the gold saucer date. Whichever party member has the highest affinity will be the one to stay with Cloud. Wutai will definitely be in the main game of part 3, especially with how big they've been building it up. Future DLC will probably continue the Deepground plot started in Intergrade and tell some version of the plot from Dirge of Cerberus. Vincent will definitely be added in the next dlc, probably Rebirth DLC. That will be our first time playing as Vincent.
I personally think they’ll do it when Cloud is in the lifestream with Tifa, since that’s the moment his mind is meant to finally be fixed and not messed up like it currently is
@@captainpep3can definitely see Tifa explaining cloud what happen to Aerith.
Maybe besides Zack, Aerith will also play a pivotal role in the lifestream guiding Tifa and Cloud
@@The3rownieno I believe that section will be exclusive to Tifa
What about Bahamut ZERO? Would he be like Bahamut and Bahamut Arisen, and he fought in VR?
@@darrenmacqueen9884 I don't think they really NEED that many new locations. We're definitely getting the rest of the northern continent, and then the Wutai continent, along with Rocket town. Then all of the new areas that open up in past locations, especially Junon and Midgar. I think that's quite a lot. We don't really need part 3 to be the same as part 2 in terms of it's new environments. It can just be more story and cutscene focused.
@@EmpressSectonia Yeah he's just gonna be the new version of Bahamut. Just a regular, albeit tough, summon. One for each game.
That would make more sense since Yuffie actually has a backstory with Scarlett
The game was released in February though and it’s part three so I’m confused about this video
Well Aerith could also be part of it like guiding Tifa considering she’s the one that helped Tifa with the white whispers last time. She’s also the one that could most likely stop Sephiroth down there. I do think Zack will help though.
I think it will go in chunks. You'll have him leaving, him coming back with Zack, Aerith, we might even get some timey wimey stuff
I think the devs have heavily implied that they've figured out how to make seamless flying in an open world with the highwind so I'm totally expecting underwater sections to be fully realized as well
TOTK Was horribly empty. Not to mention looking like a gamecube game. So...
@@TheAllcreatorLiveArchivesman that bait is really lame, I swear I’ve seen much better bait surrounding TotK
Hard Agree!
If it wasn't for the stupid story decisions I would agree.
UMMM... I am an old school fan and I think the remake games are disrespectful as hell to the original story
@@Gabthar How so?
@@JDelwynn What are the "stupid story decisions"?
The reason for areas being locked down in part 3 was mentioned in Rebirth. The looming war restarting was expected to shut down borders around the world.
I hope we get cosmetics for the snow, it’s still unbelievable to see the party cross the snow in their generic outfit
With all the additional outfits, expect snow gear in Re-Three. Even the Advent Children outfits would be sweet (though I'm hoping AC be a playable DLC after the third game).
I think you should check some interviews and info out, they have already confirmed flyable Highwind for part 3 and much more.
I think we’ll see Cloud become one of the robed men it’s been foreshadowed so much in Rebirth
They can’t miss rocket town and the space scene it’s too iconic
Maybe if they build up Cloud and Tifa's romance separately, but the Northern Crater final time with Cloud and Tifa is...kinda big for those two.
Do you think part 3 will lead to an Advent Children DLC??
If anyone wants a preview of what Diamond Weapon and the Knights of the Round are gonna look like in part 3, just watch Kingsglaive
I'm just putting it out there now. The final chapter will be called Final Fantasy VII: Reunion. It's the easiest layup in title history.
Witt the recent financial troubles I don’t see how Square will pull this off…
There's no way SE hasn't already budgeted this series to the end.
I really think Rebirth is a masterpiece and a new standard for JRPGs, but the sales and non-critical reception don’t reflect that
So curious to see how they’ll explain super nova
Before Rebirth, I would've thought they may ditch the underwater map, but after it, I'm pretty confident they can pull off almost anything.
Will Rebirth have any DLC though? Is is confirmed that it will?
I don’t think they will do DLC. They want to get part 3 out as soon as possible
No DLC confirmed by Square
I think they actually might move Cloud mindscape scene a bit earlier, before Huge Materia, and only after we get full party will the quest for Huge materia, weapons and Knights of round (I like the idea of Maximillion Dood that it's gona be part of main story) begin. northern glacier might be used as a stage for a Jade Weapon fight (it's from the Before Crisis mobile game, but i still think it's canon and might be a chance to reintroduce it)
Rebirth's Weapons are tadpoles, they'll grow into the huge OG Weapons by part 3.
Is advent children going to be dlc?
No it’s going to be a 2 hour full length movie released after rebirth.
@@EvoSchecterif that’s the case that’s disappointing lol but due to them to making a bunch of money off of rebirth it would make sense
I think the sub will be more like the flying tiny bronco, choose a destination on rails, of course piloted by the 7th infantry
Great video! I low key wanna wait for Part 3 to play all of them at once :0
Would you recommend that at this point?
I would play them as they come out. It's fun to speculate about what's to come in the meantime.

Hey, first time commenter, loving rhe videos dude, would you consider doing some Let's Plays? Think they would be amazing with you at the helm!!

Icicle Inn
Icicle Inn Area
Northern Crater
Act II: Search
Junion Escape

Mideel
Act III: Materia

Fort Condor
Cosmo Canyon
Forgotten Capital
Midgar
Act IV: Redemption

They didn't feel the need to explain why you start from scratch in Rebirth, I doubt they will here. I hate when games like Metroid and Kingdom Hearts always feel the need to explain why you don't have the weapons or abilities from the previous game. It always feels cheap and forced.
And if they did do what you suggest, it would only explain the lack of materia. Not the lack of weapons, equipment, and accessories. So it wouldn't even work.
Nah
This makes me realize that square has an impossible task to pull this off
I personally think that a huge part of remake 3 will take place in a bigger version of wutai.
Considering where they spawned (Corel, Gongaga), the new 'baby' Weapons are the Huge Materia.
If they don't remake SSX in Part 3 for the snowboarding ill cry
Hiw many part there will be for FF7?
Considering how many minigames there are in Rebirth, it's a must to have the snowboarding in Part 3
I think they will because there are hints to it in Goldsaucer. There's a big picture of the snowboarding mini game but the area is closed. I assume it will be open in part 3 after you do the snowboarding part that is if they allow you to go back to Goldsaucer.
Nah, there will be a new mini-game tutorial after talking to a new npc
Part 3 will definitely be bigger than Rebirth. Holy sht, the main quest along will be around 50 hours.
Fuck i hope so
@@alexwhite4885 Part 3 has just as much places left to visit and the story will be more focused and there's more content. Best believe. Disc 2 is more denser in content than disc 1 in the original game.
VR Vincentermission?
It was pretty obvious where Rebirth will start, but I'm not quite sure exactly where the final game will start.
FF7 part 3 is gonna be like Spider Man No Way Home, Avengers Endgame, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 levels of hype!!! Oh my god. Im gonna need more of this!!!! At least they can get the story right and gives me the best finale of the trilogy.
is tifa going to save cloud in part 3
I just know they will make some changes that are so distractingly different that it becomes very difficult to enjoy
I personally just Hope that the final cutscene from the original shows up alongside that banger theme at the yery end
I wonder if the final battle will be in the space between worlds where Cloud and sephiroth were floating through at the end of rebirth.
Most definatly. And there is no way the end fight won't be able to lose it either, just like in OG.
I don't see why we wouldn't have the submarine in part III, it's such an iconic part of the game
Plus, Yuffie's Wutai stuff and Vicent's backstory wouldn't be in a dlc, it's clear that they want to bring them to the forefront like the other party members
All I know is if they execute this perfectly, it’ll be my favorite game ever. They just need to make it a little less goofy and more grounded imo
They have a lot to catch up on in the third part, including they having to flesh Cid and Vincent out.
Vincent and Cid as playables and the good old Highwind taking us near and far.
Disc 2 and disc 3 art is what should have been used for the 2nd and 3rd remakes
I’m going to take a guess and say that both aerith and zack will “come back to life” in the main timeline because worlds will collide
15:44 well that boss was literally in pt 2 already. So that will definitely be changed for pt 3.
I can’t wait for Recycle.
Id imagine they’re going to pick up in Rocket town then take a detour to Wutai which will probably take up maybe a third of the game before they go to Icicle Inn
Love this video
"The new Weapons look like Sin from FFX"...
FFVII > FFX Continuity slowly being confirmed - especially post Stranger in Paradise
I have a feeling they'll call it Requiem, but who knows.
Agreed!
I like it too but I kinda tend to link that title with a potential Dirge of Cerberus remake.
I think the GI will be involved me and have their own little storyline. Otherwise why have a big introduction for them in rebirth?
People have seriously misunderstood the story if they think Zack is going to be the one who helps Cloud in the lifestream sequence.
I'm sure in part 3 it is going to start by cloud placing aerith in the water. I hope so
Considering the commercial letdown it was the game may become smaller than expected, but we will see.
This game is going to be a really good masterpiece
Assuming the layoffs don’t affect part 3 and delay it or cancel it of course
While I'm sure Part 3 is still in production, it seems Square-Enix is not in the best shape with all of the news that were recently confirmed, with them declaring that they will focus more on multiplatform development, the fact that they fired some of its staff from their U.S. and Europe branches and the fact that they confirmed that FF XVI, VII Remake and Foamstars failed to meet their sales expectations
@@pablocasas5906 if they cancel it, they will lose a huge chunk of their fanbase
@@Advorsaeresdocet I don't think Square-Enix is going to cancel Part 3, it's too big of a project to just shelve it, not to mention that they already mentioned they're recording dialog and are writing the story
I think ff7 remake pt 3 is gonna be called ff7 reunion... because sephiroth always talks about Reunion...
Are we sure those remakes are a trilogy?
With the amount of content left, I doubt they'll put everything into one last game.
Either it's two games, or they use the multiverse thing and actually go on a completely different story for the third one.
Dude they said already it will be 3 games. 🙄
@@coreymckee4844 And the final season of Shingeki no Kyojin was two seasons and a movie. Plans change.
What I'm wondering is how are they going to compact the reminder of the original game into one, as it seems just too big.
@@Galaf it will be 3 games. Don't be naive. Lol
If they were to include everything what’s left from the original, the part 3 would have to be 200h game
Yup! And 200GB to match
@@Dis2goodthe ps5 pro better comes with 2tb but they say it will be just 1tb
They could end up doing a Remake 3, part one and two, like the hunger games films? Probably not, but you never know 🤷🏻♂️
Are we going to have to wait 4 years???
The real question is will the team go to space
I think we'll only go to rocket town once, during the huge materia part to save time. But probably after Cloud's 'holiday'. Someone else said maybe we get Cloud back at Corel with the doctor from Rebirth. Could be another way to save development time by including that in the Corel part of the huge materia plot.
All I want is my materia from remake and rebirth to transfer over I had so many combinations I wanted to try out and try to be op haha 😂
And my all my equipment too
I could be wrong, but I hope and have a gut feeling that the story of Advent Children will be released as an epilogue DLC for part 3.
Maybe they'll rerelease the film with new voice acting and characters looking closer to remake, Barret for example.
@@Ploddypop11 Honestly, I’d rather play through the events of AC rather than watch it.
They would probably name them differently, though. "Huge materia" seemed like one of those localization goofs.
@wishblade1 I agree. I hope we get new names for them.
Yeah they’re definitely expanding the 4 crystals. We probably have to fight the weapons to obtain the huge materia
Thinking too small imagine a full deepground battle on the return to midgar that’s what they should do
FFVII Remembered, Rebirth already gave it all, the third and finale act will end the saga
Everyone: waiting for how endgame will be done
Me: Tifa and Scarlet catfight game ehehehe
Part 3 really slaps 😉
