I really appreciate the vid!! I've got the 04' Suzuki with the V6. It threw the same code, and after searching several $300+ replacement sensors I put it in the back of the driveway. A couple months later and I really need it up and running again so I started watching vids on TH-cam. Came across yours and immediately started kicking myself in the A**. Never even noticed the sensor was separated from the housing. I've been with out a car this entire time thinking it was to expensive to replace. Thank you for educating me on this, maby next time I won't be so quick to write it off, although I'm really tired of dealing with her lmao
Thank you for helping me understand that better. I’m working on head gaskets and to get the cam out I have to take off that sensor and wanted to make sure how to line it back up afterwards!
I need some help. I have the same car as this just manual and when ive been driving it just sometimes just dies when breaking (if im quick enough on the accelerator when i see the dash light up I have been able to keep it from stalling but not always) ive stalled in some really dangerous situations that lead me to stop driving it, its not really responding to me accelerating seems to be a bit of lag and then suddenly goes and also while in idol its just reving going up and down in revs then just stalling. Could that be a cam shaft sensor issue? I havent been able to drive my vitara for 5 months now because I just cant work out the issue cause Google is no help. It can only be a sensor issue as ive rebuilt the whole engine and know that everything is all sealed, I changed the fuel filter thinking it was a fuel issue but did nothing, changed maf sensor when that decided to just break and know its not an oxy sensor as that was the issue when I got the car and have a tps ready to go in but not sure if even that would fix the problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated to get my baby back on the road and I can stop borrowing my parents car thats the same age as me.
Start with scanning the computer for any pending codes and investigate those first, if there are none look for any broken vacuum hoses or air intake hoses. This car would randomly stall run roughly and then be fine for weeks but it always showed the p0340 code. Good luck, thanks for watching.
Hi there Mr Bains responding, I really liked ur video on utube, think I got the same problem with my grand vitara 2005 h25a not firing firing on all cylinders, think my sensor is also shot. What is the part nr, could you please send me the screenshot
What’s the item number. Searching ? Who want to order the wrong items based off a description when it’s wayyyy easier and 100% actuarate just typing in the number eBay assigned to that item. I imagine it’s in your purchasing history ,, that’s like how many people asking for the the parts number eBay tracks it by?
You need fuel, ignition and compression for your engine to run. You need to determine which you are missing. A weak battery and poor connections can cause problems. Start with the basics
Well that really did help me ive got one of theses vitara's dead in my woods ,I was told it was the crankcase sensor, but now it could be the camshaft sensor, need to get a tractor there to drag it out, it was a suzuki video you did that brought me to your channel. Thank you,
Thanks for once again answering the most basic critical question of where to get the part by saying only eBay. As if that’s the only item sold by eBay. Which it is obviously 1 of a million other tens that look and are described exactly the same. Hense the reason eBay provides item order numbers so not to be confused by vague descriptions. What’s eBay’s item number. People might be able to put this video ti use instead of just getting more frustrated
How about putting up an item number that EBay uses not the part number some random 3rd party company in Korea uses.. kinda make literally all the difference between great video and worthless for someone needling to do this particular job
Thank you for your help, I am having the problem with my 2004 6 cyl chevy tracker, now I have an idea before going to the shop. Thanks a lot.

I am needing to replace the exact same part how do I find it. I keep getting one that resembles a crankshaft position sensor
It was difficult to find, I purchased it on EBay. Search for Suzuki Grand Vitara parts.

Great video, very helpful, could you please tell me where I can find the crank angle sensor on the Suzuki Grand Vitara H27A motor.
Not sure, I think it’s on the right rear side of the engine.
Thanks mate.
Which scan tool did you use to read the code?
Autel maxi link ML619

Any update on the repair? Start up isn't extended?
The car is running fine! Thanks for watching.
Symtoms that led to this repair?
The car would randomly stall and check engine light would come on.
Where is the ckp sensor located?
The crankshaft position sensor should be on the right front of the engine close to the crankshaft pulley.
where i can buy that thing
The only place I found it was EBay. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe if you haven’t already.
