- Hello everyone and welcome to todays episode of Beyond The Mask. Today, we’re going to be discussing WHAT the plot could be for Scream 7… based on my opinion. Which isn’t much, I know, but I thought I’d give my views on it.

Say what you want about beyond the mask, but his passion for Scream cannot be denied and I think that’s why Christopher Landon followed him over everyone else.

Christina Carpenter knew, somewhat, what Billy and Stu were up to but didn’t stop it.
Stu’s sister is one of the killers as she blames Billy, Stu, Christina, and others for ruining her life back then and then again when her son was killed.
That would be pretty cool! I think it'd be cool to take it a step further and have Christina Carpenter and Leslie Macher team up as Ghostface, and then Leslie double-cross Christina to avenge Stu and her son
may i ask, is Leslie Macher's son was the guy in Scream 5 that was killed while the lights of a car was lit up and he was stabbed in the neck i think?-
I don't think Christina wouldn't blame Stus sister. Since she would of already been in college since scream 2 take place a year after the original. So she'd be college by that point and because of her sons age so I think she'd have to be older but if she's Stus little sister I don't see her being ok with there plan because there's no motive except her just being crazy. I mean Stu didn't even have a motive besides peer pressure and being far too sensitive if you buy that. Interesting though so much about Stus sister we just don't know.

The only way is if Leslie was blackmailing Christina (or someone else was?). I was thinking her knowledge of Billy/Stu’s plans explains why she is an alcoholic. She could be GF independently. And Leslie could be another.
Good thing is we can get lots of Stu and 1996 flashbacks. Bring back Tatum and Riley too!

I have got to be honest I would like it either way whatever path Sam goes. If she doesn't submit to her father's voice then it shows she won't be as weak as he was but she'll acknowledge how he's helped her to survive throughout Scream 5,6&7. However if she does submit she'll be a total bada$$ Ghostface!
If this is the final film, Sidney needs to be pivotal to the story-I realize Wes is long gone, but Wes always said the films started with her and should end with her. Sam isn’t as interesting a character to end the franchise with, despite her connection to Billy. I respect different directors putting their own stamp on this franchise, but to avoid Sidney altogether is the ultimate middle finger to the fans and what Wes and Kevin created.
I agree, Sidney definitely needs to be back to help close it out. All these connections to the past, it would be logical. I definitely feel like the legacy characters were used poorly. Hopefully they make up for it in 7.

Your idea is incredible!!!!!!! I’d be okay with Sidney coming back in this fashion.
I'd think it might make a lot more sense if Roman or Stu had a kid in this story that already fully accepted what their father did and was (not sure of exact role in story there, but might help Sam be able to accept the situation about Billy being her dad and why she seems to have ended up with his bloodlust as something she just has).

The driving factor has to be going back to Christina and Billies relationship to stay on track with Randy's trilogy rules if it's a true requel of Scream 3.
I love your take on how S7 should go! Sam's exploration into Billy and her family history when she hits that acceptance stage of grieving is an absolutely brilliant plot! There's so much that could stem from that idea, and the possibilities for consequences from her digging into that history are endless! Once again, you're amazing, and I can only hope that the right people see this and make it happen.

I very much want Scream 7 to be set at Christmastime, plus, I want there to be scenes of Ghostface in the snow. A great way in which to open the movie would be for the main characters to be in a cabin in snowy woods.

I think chris landon needs to put his own stamp on it. I appreciate he has inherited the core 4 from radio silence but they arent his characters and he shouldnt feel obliged to dwell on their stories. Ultimately the producers and jenna ortegas agent will determine how many legacy characters return but if landon opted to take the franchise somewhere completely new with an entirely fresh start, more power to him

Oooh I love the Sidney involvement idea you have given us 👌. That would be different and work. I love the idea of flashbacks and nightmare dream sequences too as you could bring characters back but the thing is for me I like the writing to be on point that we don't need flashbacks etc because the writing and acting give us what we need. But I feel if S7 is the S3 we'll get a flashback/nightmare dream style instalment which will be dangerous. Still awaiting a gale scream 2 chase scene which gives you the chills. The music and timings did so much that scene 👌. 6 was an epic fresh take which worked too

I have an idea for Scream 7. It involves Christina Carpenter, a Ghostface Occult similar to that of Charles Manson's cult that has others carrying out the murders. Sam, Tara, Chad, Mindy and Gail all working together to research and find out more about Billy and Stu, as well as revealing new shocking secrets that link to the newer characters. Then they have a race against time to save Sidney, Mark and the kids from this evil Occult. The occult was started by Milton (Holywood bigshot) and we also find out that Angelina was heavily involved and still alive 👀
I would love for them to announce a part 7 and 8. Characters are Sydney,Gale,Core4,Mark Kincaid and Kirby are top detectives, Sydney’s kids maybe they got friends,Martha and Joel back as Gale cameraman. Sams mom and dad and her new boyfriend No ghostface cult. After the Baileys nobody’s left. So we’re do we go..We find out that Angelina was Romans partner. Her death was faked and she’s forced back into killing. The person behind it is Stu. Angelina is stopped halfway through part 1
I just want a movie with impactful and sad deaths. Give us more Anika type deaths but with characters we’re so attached to dearly like Danny, tara(?), chad, and Mindy. I want this ghostface to really fuck with Sam and Sidney mentally. Give us the darkest scream movie with a good enough conclusion.
Wouldn’t it be good if Ghostface comes for Sidney and her family. The core 4 from 6 come to her aid and it’s a fight to the finish. Ghostface turns out to be Stu who somehow survived the original scream. This would both effect Sidney and Sam.
Stu is dead and if he wasn't, why would he wait over 25 years to come back?
I think that if stu is alive, she might reach out to him about Billy, but he will turn out to be one of the killers
I wanna say it again, my idea is: the Production of the Final Stab/the new Stab Movie has started.
The Core 4 are getting invited to be a Part of this Movie and the Actors are gonna get Killed at the set.
So Scream 7 is gonna be the better Scream 3

i would want to see Stu back(ik im not the only one that want him to come back) and Ethan, i mean, on Scream 3 stu was supposed to come back so i don't see why he couldn't, even though idk what could be his role though because he wouldn't have sense as a ghostface because his family is all dead, maybe revenge?i mean maybe he could do a deal or stu could, because ethan and his family wanted to kill the core four and the other, and stu would want revenge on sidney and gale but idk how could she come back, i don't wanna be drammatic but i can only immagine sidney come back if something really bad happen

I have this theory that Christina Carpenter was in on it from the beginning. There's a Ghostface stalking Sidney and Tatum and I think that Ghostface was Christina.
Both Billy and Stu were at the video store. It always struck me as weird as a Ghostface was stalking Sidney in such public places like that. Especially since it did not fit either billy or Stu's MO.
Imagine this. Christina is in love with Billy, so in love that she's willing to do anything for him. Eventually, he lets her in on his darkest secrets. He promises she is the one and he will raise their baby together. That once the bitch is dead, everything will be perfect. So he stalks Sidney for him, but the plan goes wrong. Billy and Stu are dead and she is left alone with a his baby, so she has to settle down with someone she doesn't love. Eventually they build a family and she starts to feel happy and content. But your daughter spills your dark secret and destroys your happiness and ruins your life.
Christina has the motive to be Ghostface in Scream 7. Sidney ruined her life with Billy and Sam ruined her family. Christina as the puppet master. Finishing what she started with Billy and getting revenge on her daughter.
I always thought of the daylight ghostface as billy or stu out of costume stalking his targets.
But for the sake of the viewer and spoilers they put a costume in place.

I really do want the next film to tie into Scream 3 like how 5 did to 1 and 6 to 2. It just feels too likely now that Roman’s involvement involvement in 3 was NOT a lone act, and having a second ghostface from 3 be revealed that’s been lingering since that film would be a massive bombshell shakeup for the series, especially since this whole new trilogy has already introduced the idea that Billy and Stu had other family members and lost loves.
I like all that, but all that needs room to breathe, like a series.
Speed it up and kill off Christina Carpenter as thr first kill and make it the catalyst for Sam to need to approach Sidney for that information about Billy.
I don’t think we should get to know Christine, just as we didn’t get to know Maureen, and that (i think) should be the aspect that mirror’s Scream 3. Sam and Tara learn her secrets.

I am very on board with this. As fans we all love the original Scream, Billy, and Stu but really don’t know much about them. It would be very cool to see some backstory, flashbacks etc. to piece more together. Would also make rewatching the original Scream more fun Haha

Apatow daughter was just cast. She will be playing an up and coming comedian who in some form or another is tied to Mindy,.
Josh is signed on for 7, Sam and him live together. Sam is working with troubled youths, while he is working for a moving company.
Tara is doing double duty with school and helping Chad battle his demons that came with years of rehab from his attack (alcohol, medication), Mindy took time away from school to write her own meta slasher. I dont know the plot but that's where the core four are at since this is just over 3 years after the events of 6. That is the only information I know so far.
If Scream 7 heads in this direction, I think Sam needs to return to Woodboro to learn about her past. While she’s there with Tara and digging up the past, I think she will discover that the father who raised her, never left, but was killed by Christina Carpenter as a means of protecting her secret. In the meantime, Tara is starting to indulge her darker desires that we have seen in Scream 6, and possibly kills Christina for killing her dad. Leslie Macher wants revenge for the death of her son Vince, and the crap she had to deal with from the people of Woodboro. Even though Stab fans worship Billy, the people of Woodsboro have not forgotten about Stu, especially after the murders at his house in Scream 2022. Leslie has been stuck in that town with her son and has been punished for the crimes of her brother. Everyone only cares about Billy, and since they have blamed her for Stu and her son was killed in service of promoting Billy, bc Amber had to look up who he was related too, Leslie wants to remind everyone the part her brother played in all of this and she wants to pay them back for punishing her and forgetting him at the same time. Sam will uncover the truth about Tara after she kills Mindy, and Sam will face off against her sister and realize that it was not the Loomis genes that made her a murderer. It wasn’t the carpenter genes either. It was the trauma and circumstances that will finally show Sam that nurture and nature have to work together to make a killer, not just one. Whether Tara dies or gets put in a facility for mental health while Gale works with Sydney and Kirby to end the Stqb franchise, I dunno. But ending the franchise this way will stop Gale’s legacy of murder with her books and movies and show that murder is not genetic and does not have to end with Sam killing her little sister. She can help her and break the cycle of violence .
Id love you to cameo in Scream 7.

my biggest thing is that like you said, Christopher Landon is very much like giving of what people want when it comes to his movies being in the directors chair so he could be a big help towards bringing Christina Carpenter and Sidney Presscott back for the 7th movie.
The only link between 2022, 2023 and the original should be Sam and Tara's mother. It was hinted at several times in both films but was not elaborated upon. The only clear thing Tara said to Gale in 2023 (not sure what that was). Sydney must know or remember their mother.
This could also explain the vehement and misleading phone conversation Ghostface had with Gale before she was attacked. Something tells me that Richie's dad wasn't the mastermind of that.
If they decide to end it with this one...I would like to see Sidney as the main character again and have the others in the background. It started with her, I would like to see her end it😊
Stu comes back or is involved some how like in scream three he was the originally going to be the killer. Which would include Sidney.

I say Sam reconnects with Grandpa Hank, only to have Hank and Martha Meeks killed in the opening...bringing them back to Woodsboro. The killer would be Mark, trying to protect his family (Sydney wouldn't know) by killing off everyone associated with Ghostface, thus ending the fear of his return. Of course he thinks he's the good guy...Sydney,in the end, would have to choose.

What want is less Meta/self aware stuff and more story connections to the original trilogy.
This is why Scream 5 was a bit of a mess for me, they had Stu’s house but it didn’t have anything to do with the story.
I want a good story, but the story of Sam and Tara just isn’t doing it for me.
If scream 7 is gonna be the FINAL movie, there has to be something that links all of them together. It would be cool if with the modern day technology we could go alllllll the way back to 1995 and show Roman convincing Billy and Stu to kill Maureen prescott and then linking that back into scream 7.
Christina fell for Billy because of his bad boy image.
I would love 1996 flashbacks Involving Tatum since she still looks the Same, I would Also like a scene where we See Gail at a cemetery and she she’s Burke looking at Some of the fallen police officers including Dewey
Ok so my wants for Scream 7 are either Mindy or Danny opening kill scene.. no comedy whatsoever. Keep it very scary and dark. Lots of Chase, kill, chase, kill sequences. A whole lot more of elaborate & unique chase scenes. Things we’ve never seen before. Give Ghostface a big ol’ axe to wield for once 🪓. Also, we need a good chainsaw scene. We also need to see at least 1 head roll. 1 dismemberment scene. And 1 elevator death and a couple of stair case falls. We also need a crashing helicopter scene and a building explosion scene. We need a full on action-horror packed Scream 7. I want to see scary high falls, rolls and jumps, car chase scene with cars flipping, and people hanging from edges etc. Perhaps, even a water drown scene. Give us a cult “Ghostface gang” causing complete chaos orchestrated by Stu Macher himself! Also, I would like to see Sidney Prescott return and she will need to make some sort of physical “leap of faith” in the movie. She needs an eyes-closed, “praying she makes it” type jump.
my prediction is that like Billy. Stu had a child and that child is the killer in Scream 7.
A Sidney Prescott opening scene, a misty autumn evening, her kids are away with mark visiting his parents, she’s home sipping wine, she takes out ghost face in a epic chase scene battle, she gets the better of ghost face before saying “not in my movie”, before stabbing him in the chest with his own knife.. cut to the scream 7 opening title
Many scream movie fans want Neve Campbell to come back to reprise her iconic scream movie character role Sidney Prescott.
I’ve always thought after scream 3 billy was manipulated into the killings, plus I think stu will return but not as ghost face but to save Sidney
I want scream 7 to be a two part with scream 8 continuing it what I want personally is Sam accepting that her father is billy and that doesn’t define her as a person

Ok for this to work they need to Bring Kivk ass Sidney back (ie Scream Fight scene with Roman Sidney not Scream 2022 Sidney)! Also I think they should bring back Portia De Rossi or Rebecca Gayheart as the killers, they were in S3 and could have links to Billy Loomis too, I’m not sure how far The Core Four will carry the future of the franchise so it’s time to start killing off atleast one of them. No one is safe remember!
Part 2 of my part 7 and 8. So after Angelina returns. We find out Stu’s family were rich and powerful. They paid off Woodsboro officials and kept Stu hidden all these years. Tying to him caring what his parents thought he obeyed and stayed hidden. He returned to kill Dewey and influenced Richie and Amber. Now the entire time he was phoning Sam. Pretending to be Billy. This why she gets visions and now that she can’t get a doctor she falls into madness and begins thinking she’s Billy.Stu and Sam are the killers. The tagline is what’s the matter Sydney looks like you seen a ghost. Sam believes she Billy like Norman Bates believes he’s mother. It’s full circle. Billy references Norman Bates when revealing himself. Stu heard this which is what gave him this idea. Stu would love this especially if they were lovers abd they stab each other in the climax. To me it’s only thing that could truly break Sydney’s mental toughness and scare her after all she’s been through. This would truly be a fitting end. Until her kids grow up and become targets lol

I would love for there to be a killer that has been involved since the very start. Helping coordinate all the “access” to the social circles of each films group. It would tie nicely with killing survivors of franchise. I just think continuing the same story and same characters without revealing something not previously uncovered is growing tired

This plot would be the perfect way to bring Hank, Leslie, and Christina into the fold having Gale do her due diligence to locate Hank and have the core four locate Leslie and Christina themselves and you could introduce tension in the core four by having Mindy and Chad at some point tell Sam and Tara that they're done almost being killed to help Sam learn about someone who's dark choices wound up with his mother killing their uncle also I would have Hank, Leslie, and Christina be the killers
Hank's motive would be that he's done with all the killing sprees that have been caused by his son's evil choices
Leslie's motive
she lost her son because of one of these sprees so she's taking it upon herself to end all of this by killing all of the Woodsboro survivors
Christina's motive
She's already proven to be a terrible mother so having her want to end all of this by killing her two daughters to start anew I feel would be a perfect end to the franchise if that's what 7 is

To be honest I want Sam to fully embrace being Billy’s daughter and be ghostface because of the way they’ve set it up. In Scream 2022 Sam says she’s not like her father and that’s cool, people aren’t their parents and she can be a good person… but then in Scream 6 she admits that she enjoyed killing Richie. Then at the end when she stabs Detective Bailey a bunch, she tells him she won’t kill him because she’s not a killer like he thinks she is and he thanks her for showing mercy… Then she kills him anyways. She is a killer and not a good person to me. So I don’t think it would make any sense for her to not go all the way with it. Whatever they do, I just want her actions to match the direction of her character. But idk
I think for scream 7 they should all blend the movies together. I don’t feel like gale or Sidney needs to be in the movie unless they are in fact a major big plot of the storyline. And I would love them to do flashbacks kind of like how Halloween kills did. If they do flashbacks and have to react them they have to make me it feel like the 90s. And have a major killer reveal. Like I said I don’t see the need for gale or Sidney unless they are in fact tied to the killer in some major way. They mother of Sam and Tara needs to appear as does Tara dad. Hopefully new characters have some ties to the original characters. I think this movie is gonna be great

Honestly, this seems like a really good plot for Scream 7.
You have a great idea but I don't think the current writers have the talent to bring this idea to it's full potential and unless Christopher Landon has a major say over the scripts quality I can't see the story for Scream 7 getting any better than just barely OK!
I hope we do get flashbacks, I hope we do get to see the murder of Maureen Prescott take place on the big screen finally after all of these years through a flashback.
My theory is that Sam will be the new ghostface killer but I think we will see a past ghostface like stu or Charlie Walker

We won’t get any flashbacks. We could have had a Kirby flashback all blurred and from her POV with Emma Roberts voice/monologue playing but we didn’t! We didn’t even hear what she had to say about realising her best friend was a murderer :(

For me it doesn’t make sense. How many times can you be stabbed and survive (forgot the name of the guy of the core four who got stabbed a lot).
I find them boring. Sidney is scream. Some can find me boring for saying that. But i just miss Neve in the Scream movie
How does that not make sense? I swear it’s so weird how people get so pressed about that. I feel like they literally want him dead just because of the fact that they don’t like the new characters and they’re still stuck on the legacy characters (who deserve a break at this point). The amount of times a person is stabbed is such an invalid argument to justify thinking that they should’ve died. The human body is capable of surviving things that would seem fatal. Real people have survived situations where they’ve ended up in similar, if not worse conditions in comparison to what happened to Chad. For example:

In 1994, Alison Botha was stabbed 30 times and almost decapitated. Her attackers disemboweled her, and slashed her throat (16 times to be exact) so deeply that she was nearly decapitated. However, she managed to survive long enough until help was nearby. She didn’t even realize how horrific her condition was until she was moving towards help because that’s when she realized her head wasn’t completely attached and she was holding her own insides with her hands, making sure it was all together and in tact. It was absolutely brutal.
As another example, and most similar to what Chad endured; there’s the slender man stabbings. In 2014, 12 year old Payton Leutner was lured into the forest by her two “friends”. They ended up stabbing her 19 times with the intention of murdering her. She had multiple stab wounds to her diaphragm, liver, stomach, and including one that narrowly missed her heart. She was able to survive and use all the energy she had to crawl out of the forest to the first road she could find, which was where she was found and saved.
