Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but I am still hoping that all the pieces will come together and we get a Scream 7 with core four, Kirby, Sidney, Mark, Gale, and bring in Mindy and give her more to do. Mindy gets too little love.
I’m fine with the sisters being gone. Honestly, didn’t enjoy 5 or 6 because the group is just terrible and annoying.

What? The actors don't have ANY loyalty towards their fanbase. Acting is a JOB. You do it for money and career progression. Just like Linda from the deli counter down Tescos. Idk why people hated on Scream 4. Loved the twist they pulled and wished they kept Jill alive to follow on that story. I’d be happy if they made 7 follow up to 4.

Hopefully get the next film with Sideny, Gale, and maybe Kirby. I do think they need to wrap up the entire franchise already before it gets played out like Friday the 13th, Halloween, and Chucky.
Don't know about anyone else but I don't want Scream 7 to be the final movie in the franchise. I would like to think it goes right up until 10 or possibly more movies!

Before the fifth film happened, SCRE4M was my favorite sequel in the franchise. It’s still in my top 3 favorite list for Scream films.

These people need to make a public statement apologizing to Melissa Barrera and get her back to Scream 7. We need to finish the Samantha Carpenter's Loomis dark side chapter. There's still potential to finish Sam's Story.

I hope so! The movie is an eyesore. Also, while a director's cut isn't possible anymore, I'd prefer the original opening and most of the known cut scenes included. But I'll also settle for "not ugly".
I disagree, I think scream 7 could star the last dump I took and it’s still going to make millions.
I think the reason spyglass might be waiting to announce a director might be because since it’s probably been so short since the director might have been joined the project so if backlash came now, it would be so easy for that director to exit without any loss or issues. But if they wait to announce later in development, the director might stay on after all the work they have completed and it would probably be more worth it to just finish the film. Also after all the time this director will spend on Scream 7, they might be feel more attached to it and might stay on due to that as well. So basically, it might be a tactic to not lose a director this time.
Scream 7 will do fine. Their are loyal fans to the orginal trilogy. Hopefully, Campbell and Cox will be back to put the movies back on track!

I think it's following the history of the first franchise. Every third movie in the story is a flop.
The next installment is uncertain just like everything else in the world. This all most in line with that movie the color purple or any of the newer marvel movies. They want to support the movie and the costars yet they can’t bash the studio. And the cast actually respect the audience that sees these Scream movies.
It’s gonna happen regardless who signs up to do it cause it has a huge following. Honestly personal politics have no place in business so I find it all annoying.
There's a rumor that SCREAMVII will be a direct sequel to SCREAM4... so, if this is the case, it adds up with the release of the 4K scream 4 at 2025...

The sad fact that any director would receive backlash for joining Spyglass is pathetic.
I wish the director well, and have confidence that they'll knock it outta the park!
Either do the META thing and have a killer targeting the OG Scream cast because of something to do with a horror convention death, or make it a final ending for Sid's story, with Kincaid back, and a strong cast like we had in the first two Scream films. Make another badass 90's style slasher again and put some big names in it. Taylor Swift as opening kill, shoot it on 35mm again, bring in Kevin Williamson to at least add some new touches to the script, get a director who knows genuine suspense and creepy factor like Craven did, and get Beltrami back.
No, the franchise needs to stay away from the meta stuff,😂. It's ridiculous and old at this point. No meta , no movie within a movie, just real Terror, real horror 😂👍

Scream 7 is seriously doomed. Even if the legacy characters come back, the story is redundant now. The Carpenter sisters breathed new life into the franchise. But thanks to Spyglass's ignorance, the movie is forever tainted. Melissa Barrera only told the truth.

I hope scream 7 is not disappointing. Ghostface is the best horror character by far
I prefer the original series over 5 and 6 anyway. The motive of 5 was stupid, 6 was a repeated motive. The “survivors” survive many stabs and are walking around like nothing happened at the end. And Melissa should learn she’s hired to entertain, not share her political opinions. People watch movies to escape reality, not hear your opinions. And anyone else can be fired from their job for what they post on social media and she’s no different.
But its her instagram tho she can do what she wants with it and no one should be controlling her

And the girl who shoots Billy Loomis in the first one when he’s about to kill Sidney is dead in my opinion, and cannot come back but Sidney needs to come back with Tara and Sam and if we have one killer, it Has to be Stu but in my opinion, I want Ethan, Stu and somehow Charlie survives but when it comes out, I gotta say something it will not be able to be a classic like the original

Why are y’all acting like loosing the carpenter sisters was a big deal? Yes, they were cool, the core 4 was cool… but let’s be really honest here, Scream 5 wasn’t the best come back, it was very watered down in my opinion. It wasn’t until Scream 6 that I even really cared for them. Sidney has been the STAR since the beginning so if she comes back and they bring back legendary characters, it would be great. They were only in 2 movies, one of which, AGAIN, wasn’t the best way to bring back the franchise
You can Hate Carpenters sisters as much as you want but cant change the fact Scream VI still being the highest grossing movie in the franchise even without Sidney 🍵 Sidney arc is end in 3 the last installments Scream 4 with Sidney being the lead is flop Melissa and Jenna who revived this franchise and it will flop again without them especially with the bad press from Spyglass

Lol Stop spreading rumors? Even Hayden in the same interview said she believes Jenna quit out of some sort of sisterhood. And Jenna didn’t choose Wednesday over Scream. Jenna was under contract to return to Wednesday. But filming for Scream was suppose to begin at the beginning of March and Wednesday is starting filming at the end of April. That gave Jenna, who said in October she was still interested in a Scream return, about 6 weeks to film Scream. Maybe you should stop talking about the things you know very little about.
Schedule conflict is just excuse read Melissa new interview she basically confirmed that Jenna walk out in solidarity with her she said Jenna is the real who always show up for her ; )
Jenna supposed to be in Scream 7 even the reason they start to filming Scream 7 at the begining of the year is because in April Jenna will go to Irlandia to filming Wednesday

While I've enjoyed the Reboot (6 lots more than 5) i don't really have a vested interest in the "core four". I think if they were to get rid of them it would be fun to see them fall at the hands of the new ghostfaces fast in the start (who turns out to be stu...).
They should just cancel it. If it does get made, there's no way I will pay to see it.

The movie is bound to fail no matter what.
They should just retcon scream 5 & 6 and just continue from scream 4 (like a follow up with Jill and if she actually died after getting shot in the chest/Kirby surviving) ect. Kind of like the Halloween 2018 did, which in hindsight would be keeping with the history the two franchises have with one another.
Also Dewey wouldn’t be dead anymore which imo was a bad move, game should have died if anything, bc it would have brought Sidney and Dewey closer together.
Beyond The Mask, please listen to this idea it’s really good, Scream VII is going to be a direct sequel to Scream VI, The Core 4, Danny, and anyone that survived Scream VI will return to Scream VII, they should cast Tom Holland, Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Nick Robinson, Sydney Sweeney, Dacre Montgomery, Israel Broussard, Madison Iseman, Cate Blanchett, Kathryn Newton, Sophie Thatcher, Bob Odenkirk, and Benedict Cumberbatch. The plot should and will be a Tropical Setting in Miami, Florida were The Core 4, Danny, 2 new legacy characters played by Tom Holland and Zendaya, which they’re High School friends of Tara, Chad, and Mindy, which they’re all on vacation and the Ghostface Killer(s) is terrorizing the city area and is out for Redemption, and all the survivors have to do is to fight to survive the area in the city so they can have the best life they can have, and they make one last fight for survival against the Ghostface Killers for The Final Chapter, for a 2025 release date.
I don’t mean to rain on your parade but that is one expensive cast. 30-50 million would be used just to pay them, before any actual filming

Can people just get over the whole Melissa Barrera thing? She’s just an actress. The story was pretty much done by the end of VI. Can’t we just move on? And besides y’all going on like it’s a new trilogy; but no one confirmed that and SCREAM is the master of subversion.
