Scream VI Shrine: Everything you Missed & Easter Eggs

- Today, I’m going to be breaking down one of the most visually satisfying aspect of Scream VI for you guys. What I’d like to do today, is take you guys on a guided tour of the entire Shrine and showcase everything that was featured on screen. So as we go scene-by-scene, I’ll be explaining what is seen in the clip and which movie each item belongs to. I’ve also managed to get some photos from several people who managed to visit the actual shrine in LA some weeks ago, so I will be attaching those images to the scenes so you guys can get a closer look at them. So, without further ado, lets dive straight in.

Kirby having that moment with Jill’s shirt is EVERYTHING.
Character developmen.
Yup her best friend and crush turn out to be killers.
Her presence was amazing in scream 6 just wish she had her short hair.
Hayden says a lot with her eyes!
@Kyle C. She was meant to look older than Sam and the rest on purpose. Remember, Sam stated she was a freshman when Kirby was a senior.
I feel like this shrine was a nod to Wes Craven, and the appreciation for the franchise that he started!!!

Kenny the camera guy died a hero. With his throat slashed he still managed to very subtly point Sidney to the hole in the back of his van for her to escape Ghostface’s attack.
RIP Kenny you legend.

It actually fleshes out Richie’s character a lot. We knew he loved the Stab movies from his killing motive, but this show he was straight up OBSESSED with everything to do with Ghostface
In regards to Casey, it reads “Rope from swing”, “Cause of death”, “Casey hung from tree” and “Call for help undocumented”. Casey never got a chance to call the police, so the authorities were never informed she was in danger until after it was too late.
When I saw this scene in the theater, I assumed that all the sketches were of victims and how they died. As well as prior Ghostfaces.
Chad and Mindy looked at Randy….
Kirby looked Charlie and mostly Jill…
Gale looked for Dewey in sadness…
Sam looked at Billy…
If Sidney was there, she’d be sad for Tatum and Dewey.
In the sketch with Sam, Ghostface, and 3rd person I'm pretty sure its Billy. Looks like how he was by the end of the first Scream movie and then in the visions Sam has. Short balck hair, white t-shirt with blood all over it.

Honestly this whole shrine shows that these directors are big fans of the franchise catching all these details and Easter eggs into this one room was awesome. I didn’t catch all of these Easter eggs like the happy birthday roman banner, the picture of dead ms Loomis and a couple others. Like for once the franchise ties itself together with the previous killers instead of just billy and Stu is so refreshing. I still wish we could’ve gotten to see Sidney’s reaction to all of this and what specific pieces she would react to. I think Tatum’s outfit, the cross Derek died on, the pictures of her, Jill’s outfit, Billy’s shirt , the tv, the ice pick, the umbrella, and who knows what other things she would’ve specifically picked to react to.
They missed a great opportunity with that part it could have lead to a lot of flash backs
I wouldn't be surprised if the shrine appears again in Scream 7. This shrine is directly connected to four Ghostface killers--Richie and his family--so I'm sure some reference will be made to it (even in the form of a Stab movie) in the next film.
@@erickserrano3635 i honestly thought when they said we were gonna get another cameo in 6 I thought it was gonna be Jill in a flashback or possible nightmare that Kirby had after the events of 4. Sadly it wasn’t just Richie lmao

This video alone showcases why beyond the mask is the best channel for scream content
I don’t know I know there’s like 2% of the fandom infuriated with him but I don’t think anybody has better commentary then Cherry
Also for the details and Easter eggs I don’t think anybody does a better job than CZWorld
They had everything these other channels out and about 50,000 things more
Craven something scary I like for his theories
But I think Zack Cherry is the best. I don’t think anybody conveys a point with extensive elaborations like him

@@thewolf4325 not really Zack cherry has all round amazing content and covers a lot of movies where as beyond the mask is strictly scream don’t get me wrong never miss a Zack cherry vedio and his scream Vids are amazing but if I was to give it to anyone it would be beyond the mask
And me saying it’s an insult isn’t saying Zack cherry isn’t amazing at covering them because he is and goes into great detail but the love beyond the mask has for the franchise is something I don’t even think the biggest scream fans can compare his channel is litterally dedicated to this franchise
I'm still disappointed we didn't get anything of Liv or Wes, considering they died in the last film and with Chad and Tara getting together it would add in the element of guilt.

Yeah I really liked Liv. So it was so sad to see that she is just forgotten but the killer from scream 5(I forgot his name) is the one who made this shrine and he’s dead. So makes sense there wouldn’t be anything of the recent victims💔

I’m surprised nothing for Hallie was in this shrine but obviously they can’t do every single little piece from each movie. I wonder what else could’ve been in that shrine that wasn’t there like obviously other outfits of the killers like Mickey and Roman, the pipe that went through the cops head, some sketches of other opening victims like Maureen evans with her boyfriend, the camera/phones with the murder footage used by Jill/Charlie, clothes from other victims, and that’s all I can think off the top of my head of some other stuff they would’ve possibly been in the shrine.
Maybe the Windsor collage top was hers not Sydney’s.
@@ciaranbrk I don’t recall her wearing anything with the schools name on it I might have to rewatch it tho but still there was nothing Hallie related that I saw.
Some other items: Robbie's headset camera, the fire poker that Christine used to whack Cotton in the head, the bulletproof vests worn by Sidney and Roman, the body bag used by Roman to scare Sidney, Randy's final outfit, Rebecca's coat
Blown away by how much you actually noticed in this scene. Amazing.
The way the Ghostface gowns are presented on stage in the scene are a nod to the scene in Scream 2 where Sidney is on stage as Helen Of Troy and her co-stars surround her in gowns.
You absolutely stomped with this video, one of the best you have done
The shrine shows how long they've been studying this ghostface persona, but NOTHING will be more eery than the sketches. 20+ years of murder cases, the victims named and the way they died is just something else.
The person next to Ghostface and Sam is Billy from the OG movie saying “what’s the matter sidney? you look like you’ve seen a ghost.”
I’m pretty sure the one drawing of Sidney that looks like her teen years is of her in The Craft.

I know, "Scream" is an extremely heightened film series, always a bit over the top, so it stays entertaining while it deals with all the psychos but this shrine is actually quite sinister. There is a certain documentary feel to it... it really gives Richie a lot of depth, showing how deranged he was, that he needed to recreate all these bloodshed on paper and collect memorabilia.

Knowing now that the shrine belonged to Richie, it makes me like him as a killer 10x more! Now he’s top 6 of all time for me

For Casey's sketch, it says ROPE FROM SWING to indicate Billy and Stu used the rope from the Becker's rope swing.
And next to Sam and Ghostface in her sketch is very obviously Billy.

Can you imagine if you went through all of this? To see this? Must’ve been tough for Kirby to see Jill’s shirt and the patio where she was stabbed. And can you imagine Sidney’s reaction?
Did anyone notice that in the opening scene, when Laura (The College Professor) is down the alley, she says "That's not funny" she looks into the alley, and you can see Ghostface standing there. You can see the bottom of the robe moving and his feet. It's almost like she was looking at him, but couldn't quite see exactly what she was looking at.
For reference is about 5mins 30 seconds into the movie.
2:36 - On the right is the garage door where Tatum died
The gun in the Dewey case is the one he used in Scream 5. In the original he had a Beretta 92fs and in Scream 3 he used a 2.5 inch Colt Python. In Scream 5 and in the case in Scream 6 it’s a Smith & Wesson Model 10

The shrine should have been shown in a finale of the Scream franchise with Sidney being in the shrine as well reminiscing of the past Ghostface killers.
I think so too. I loved the idea of it, but I think they presented it too early - too early in the movie, and too early in the series

With the amount of detail the Radio Silence guys have, you'd think they would have remembered that Scream 2 takes place two years after Scream, not one year.
The sketch of sam, I read that as billy being behind her and ghost face, as it looks like Billy’s white bloody T-shirt and his parted hair
The shrine should’ve been saved to be in the final Scream movie to have that full circle moment instead of in the middle of a trilogy
I agree. I think it would have had more of an impact for us to see Sydney witness it.

When it comes to the Windsor College sweatshirt, I think of it this way. I know that most of the clothing displayed is worn during death items. The exception being Randy's video store uniform. He wasn't killed in that. He was likely no longer employed there while he was attending college across the country. However, it is a good representation of who Randy was as a character. The college sweatshirt just denotes one of the non-Woodsboro locations that one of the movies took place.

Thank you for this incredibly thorough analysis of the shrine. I completely missed the Happy Birthday Roman sign, which is a great catch, although you missed one item: When the group is facing the stage, on the upper lefthand corner of the screen, you can see the lower panel and pet door from the garage door that Tatum crawled through when she died. It's mounted up on the wall, above the items.

I think the third person next to the Sam sketch is Billy, the stain in his shirt match where he was injured in the third act

Wish they’d given Tatum’s more attention though. She was the defacto fave until Kirby. They’re like the iconic duo of snarky besties. Just bummed there’s no coming back from having your head crushed in like a Barbie by a garage door. Although I guess Rose is not the biggest Kevin Williamson fan so she wouldn’t have done a cameo or come back Kirby style anyway.

And the sketch of Himbry after being stabbed is technically impossible. He was found strung up from the goalposts hours later so no one except Billy and Stu would know how he was positioned when he died (unless they took photos that were found and never revealed to the audience but that's unlikely)

Richie didn't build the shrine he only owned the theater. Detective Bailey clearly states on screen that he built the shrine as a tribute to Richie

I wonder how Richie managed to sketch Sidney as Cassandra seen as he wasn’t there
Richie probably tracked down photos that were taken by the college of the play's production, probably for the college yearbook. Since that play was part of the second set of Ghostface killings, it would make sense that he would want to track down as much information as he could about it.
I'm more interested in who sketched Dewey's death cause there's no way it could be Richie, right?
I'm positive Sidney informed the police and Gale got the information as well to put it into her book and then stab 2 recreated it

On the subject of Easter eggs, and the thinking it won’t be a spoiler given how long the film has been out for, what do you make of the scene from the police station with all the names on the board in post-it notes, stating deaths - if I remember rightly, really need to watch the film again - next to Stu’s post-it is another with a ? on it. Similar to the Kirby teaser in Scream 2022, is this confirming that he’s not dead?
The post-its with the question mark were in regards to masks being left at the scenes of the murders. At the time of this scene, Stu’s mask had not turned up, so a “?” was left by his picture.
The Bradley Video shirt sent me all the way back to late 90s Sonoma county
I find it interesting that in the sketch of Mr.Himbry’s office door the handle and the blade of the Buck knife are facing different directions
It still makes me sad Syd wasn’t here for this. Would have loved to see her reactions
There’s a few other things :
- There’s a 100% Cotton ad poster behind Cotton’s box
- There’s the Cheeto’s bag Kenny was eating before getting killed
- In the lobby, the popcorn machine is the same as in Scream 2
- All 8 stab movie posters are in the lobby
Dewey’s death being in the Shrine doesn’t make sense since Richie wouldn’t have been able to add it, someone else involved?
Interesting thing to note in the Principal Himbry obituary- it shows the facade of the Santa Rosa High School while stating that it's Woodsboro High School, Woodsboro CA when they had actually used the Sonoma Community Center.
You’d think that when Richie met Sidney Prescott etc, he would have been idolising her much more.
Then they all got stabbed multiple times and just acted as if a cat had scratched them

I love all the Details they put into this. I had Flashbacks fo all the Movies. It was Beautiful. I wish i could habe seen it. It would have been cool if we could have seen more about Stu Macher's Backstory and his Motive in the Shrine.

2nd Ps: It's a bit Weird that Stu doesn't have a Scetch about his Body. As if he never died🤔.
