Has to be one of the best stories you've shared in my years following you. Interesting that you're now keeping dreams alive for so many young followers with all of your projects. Very special, keep going!
Every other TH-camr makes 15 videos about “potentially buying a car” or “potentially selling a car”. Mr JWW literally makes one - “here’s my 911 turbo S”. What a legend!
The other channels you're referring to are absolute tripe.... The thumbnails make me want to punch them in the face, can't stand the clickbait shit from those financed car bell ends.... 🤬
Love the spec Love the story as well kind of makes me hopeful that one day I'll sit in a Porsche I'm disabled so I can't physically drive but it's kind of been a dream of mine to be able to sit in a 911
Where I work, in a logistics car park, we receive and send out new porsches daily. I had the pleasure ot sitting and driving on all the new models so far, all the 718 models, including Cayman GT4 (was surprised it had a 6 speed manual gearbox), all Taycan, Panamera, Macan, Cayenne models and almost all 911 models, the best so far was the Carrera 4s. I've yet to see a Turbo S here, but it's not surprising, since those are more unique and quite more expensive. The Taycan Turbo S, I was able to drive one without the 35kph limiter and damn when I put my foot down I almost felt all of my organs in my back. That thing had crazy launching.
A similar thing happened to my son and his two friends at an audi dealership. 14 years old looking in the window at an R8. Salesman came out and they thought he was going to shoo them away, but he invited them in to sit in it. They were stunned and so excited. I was impressed. He may or may not ever be able to afford one, but it left an impression and really impressed.
@Dominik Olszewski I think you might well be right!!You can check if any car is taxed and MOTd if you have the number plate!!That plate does not belong to any car.Strangely it only appeared on the back of the car too!
2 mins into watching this video, and the story is already incredible. Well done Porsche. And good job on your spec, Sir. That dark blue is exactly how i'd have it. Keep smashing it!
This is the pinnacle of Beauty. The story, the inspiration, the passion and the personal creativity passed into his version of an engineering master piece. This is exactly what the Turbo S represents. Thank You for taking the time to share your journey and I’m ex static for you, enjoy my son.
I can relate to this story and have the same one myself, oddly enough at a Porsche dealership, and the salesman let me sit in what was a fresh and I suspect the first 997.1 Carrera S at the dealership. I love that Porsche AG asks dealers to do this and I fell in love with Porsche. They definitely have a future customer in me. PS: there is a Porsche commercial with a young boy that sits in a 997.1 Carrera and the salesman gives him his card, basically suggesting that they support young fans.
Porsche has always gone to another level with customer interaction (even the window shoppers). I had a friend meet me down at my local dealership and he arrived 15 minutes earlier than I. When I arrived my salesman was chatting him up and letting him sit in a brand new 991.2 GT3 RS. He knew my friend wasn't there to purchase a car and managed to be very pleasant in conversation none the less. They've treated me this way from the very first Porsche I bought to my latest. I see them treating other customers who are in buying a 5 year old used Cayenne. Impressive operation in my book, Porsche should be proud of their dealerships and how they are run.
My then 11 year old son had a very similar experience a couple of years ago and ended up leaving with a bagful of books and models from the sales woman we were chatting with, plus a massive grin across his face 🤣 To be honest I was a bit blown away by how well he was treated and lovely to hear that ethos has been around for so long! Oh and edited to say, beautiful spec btw, love the exterior colour! ,
I just took my 13 year old son to Porsche. Me and my son had great same experience . Sale person kept showing to my son all there’s performance machine. It was amazing experience
Love the story, I had a very similar one to you albeit somewhat earlier than yours. When I was 14, in 1981, I went to the Hamilton’s dealership in Melbourne (at that time in Chapel St) to buy a Porsche T-Shirt. While I was there I stood at the edge of the showroom and gazed longingly at the shiny new cars, also too intimidated to go and have a closer look. While standing there I was spotted by a salesman, he then spent the next hour taking me through each of the cars and let me sit in each one, I couldn’t believe it. Anyway, it took me a long time to get my first Porsche but 5 911s later I still love them!
I also personally love how the 'frunk' of the car extends slightly passed the bumper line, making it look more 'classic', similar to older porsches and reminds me slightly of the lamborghini murcielago. The straight lines of the bonnet just gives it a more older style porsche look. might just be me. best seen at 10:12
Same experience with a 964. I was 10 years old but I remember the solid click of the door, the smell of the leather.... I fell in love. It was ALSO blue on blue. Such a classic spec.
Minneux Yeah everything these TH-camrs say and do is fake for likes and views. That’s totally fine with as it’s just brainless entertainment me but all these people believe their BS... No wonder the world is going to s***
I had to do a presentation at school when I was about 10yrs old some 16yrs ago. And my subject was the 911. I emailed Porsche, and they sent me the exact same book! along with some other literature. Such an amazing brand!
Man that interior is drop dead gorgeous... And generally crayon is my favorite Porsche color as it’s just so unique and contemporary. You have a VERY good eye for clean aesthetics!!!
Congratulations!! I just ordered mine today in chalk. I have a 2nd quarter build allocation... it's going to be a long 9 months!!! Currently running a 2018 Panamera turbo.
On one hand, I am probably the most jealous I have been in my life, but also - He's definitely one of the few 'cartubers' (?) who I can just sit, smile and be happy for him to have this truly beautiful particle accelerator from Stuttgart. God bless Porsche and I hope you will enjoy it and put many, many miles on the car.
Great story to start, loved it . Very similar experience for me . I was in high school just 15 years old at the time. Rode my bicycle all the way to my local Jack Daniels NJ Porsche dealership . I sat in a unlocked 911 turbo , just waiting to be asked to leave . To my surprise the salesman walked over and asked if I had any questions . I stuttered , no I'm good , thank you. He said enjoy that feeling because I know someday you'll be back to buy one . I smiled and nodded my head as he just lit the fuse in my body . I'm 50 years old now , I've been lucky enough to own 4-different 911's , 2- 911 turbo's and just recently a GT3RS 991.2 . I really appreciated that salesman allowing me to sit and dream in that car . God Bless MR. JWW and enjoy that TURBO S
They've nailed the design of this, one of my favourite Porsche for a long time!! The rear end and the spoiler are sweeeeeetttttttt!!!! 😍 Congrats Jimmy, living the dream!!! 🙌🏻
I would like to see a “eurotrip”. Also to norway/sweden in wintertime. I think that is where the 911 turboS differents the most with other 600+hp sportscars. It is stil good in everything
beautiful spec mate! I'm 20 and dreaming of my first Porsche, videos like these inspire me so much! thank you for achieving your goal and sharing this achievement with us!
Awesome beast of a family car 🤔 Love the spec, not sure I'd be brave enough to spec that interior without seeing it you crazy man. It works though I'll give you that.
that hits close to home for me, the 996 turbo s in manual is still my favorite porsche. i dont care if the new ones are twice as powerful, theres just something timeless about that 996 front end. ive wanted one since i was a kid, and ive literally spent the last 15 or so years looking online and keeping close eye on the 996 market. Hoping to pick one up this winter.
Love this. I've recently bought my first Porsche and had a similarly positive experience when younger. Amazing how that sort of thing stays with you and gives you a view of a brand!
The day this video came out was the day I placed the order for my 992 (and I picked the Gentian Blue as well). When I got home from the dealer, I saw this video, and fell in love with your interior choice. So the very next day, I called the dealer and spec’ed the same leather. Fast forward to last month, and I finally took delivery. The car is utterly fantastic, and I’m extremely happy with the look. I have to give you a shout-out, because without this video I never would have seen or thought of this combination. Thank you.
Astonishing how Porsche appears on the infotainment screen with those sexy quad-exhaust pipe. Then decided to deliberately fail to apply the same quad-exhaust on the car itself. But one can almost for give them for that error; I mean the car is remarkable and all that. I love it.
that's a beautiful story man.. i love the mentality the brand has, hope they still keep it... wasn't very sure about getting a porsche, but now it is certain, and when they ask me why, I'm going to tell them your story, and how I support that vision, while I revel in the engine noise and scream holy-porscher 😂 that's the stuff of legend bro..
Congratulations. Wow. I have the same book from 20 years ago and I bought my first Porsche 911 S4 in 2004. Which I still have with on 64k miles on it. I still get people stopping and admiring it as I still looks brand new! The color is also very rare it a "green" can't remember the exact name but it's got a Savannah Beige interior. Since I've owned the car I've only seen a few with the same combo. I love your selection and every-time I walk into a Porsche dealer I am tempted to walk out with something new....we'll see when that happens! Enjoy!
Perfect spec and as a Swede, blue and yellow always work! Blue is perfect color for this car. Porsche Turbo S is like a brand within the brand within the brand. It as a car for someone who wants it all!
Great story James, really inspiring I feel like a lot of the viewers are going to connect with that including myself. We all have dream cars and stories about when we were younger dreaming about future cars. Been watching your videos since you started your channel keep it going.
Congratulations James. I’ve just purchased a 2008 997 Metzga Turbo. Love it. When I was 16 I had a similar experience in a Rolls Royce dealership. Will never forget the kindness of the salesman.
I'm not a Porsche man, but this car is amazing - maybe I'm starting to lean towards one! Stunning metallic blue, stylish wheels, and those yellow calipers are the dot on the 'i'. Porsche are clever, they know every young man grows up, why not mould them when they're still impressionable. One buys such a car, not to impress family, friends or the neighbours, but rather to celebrate an achievement, a personal pat on the back every time one gets behind the wheel. I remember standing outside a Kawasaki showroom in 1980 looking at the GPz range, at the time I fancied the GPz550, unfortunately nobody came out to hand me a brochure - since then most of my bikes have since been Hondas.
I think I have the same booklet somewhere! I was obsessed with 911s in high school and loved the trips to the dealership. Love the new car. Also James, what is that watch? Is that an AP Royal Oak? I couldn't get a good look.
I just have a 996 turbo, cheap as chips to buy and run. Just had all new suspension, shocks, turbo actuators, new rads and pipes, new coil pack, oil cooler, water pump, fuel filter, gear lever /leather gator and it drives like a new car. I’ve often thought about changing it and without spending a fortune on a Ferrari, Lambo or newer 911 there is no need. My car has bigger manifolds, sports exhaust, uprated air filter, and a remap and 540hp which is fine. It handles great 👍 ... I’m not in any way putting down any of the other or newer Porsches ... just saying for the money a 996 is an awesome car and for the money there is nothing close to it. I like having a 996 Turbo that is paid for without the expense of having £200,000 tied up in a car ... that’s all but great video loved it - well done 👍
Looks amazing. Love how enthusiastic you are about it too. I had a similar experience when I was about 11. I went into a showroom and they let me sit in a 911 Turbo. It would have been a 964 at the time. I just bought a 992 Carrera S Cabriolet yesterday and it seems like a dream. I’ve wanted a 911 since I was 7 and now it’s a reality. I know it’s not a Turbo but it should be good enough for me. I only have the Bose sound system as it’s rare to have them spec’d with the Burmester and I didn’t factory order it but hoping it’s still ok. I love my music too and will be going from the B&W system in my 540i to this. Guess you’ll be fully PPFing the car? Mine will be trailered to my detailer before it hits the road. Enjoy your epic car my fellow Porsche friend. 👍
James, captivating story about your childhood and a dream come true. Inspiring! Your interior color choice has me thinking about getting this color option on my 992 build. Your review resonated with me, thank you for taking the time to create this. Cheers!
I had a golr R in lapiz blue. And agree with everything you say about the blue. It’s divine. On a cloudy day it would be a dark navy. Yet in the sun it popped and went a fantastic punch blue. Dream of having a Porsche. Nice to see yours come true.
this looks amazing,, I love Porsche's design and all but imagine how good the front end would look on this if they parted way with the classic oval headlights and went with something more aggressive and angular,, kind of like the 718ish
I always loved porsche but never visited their showroom. I was in the market for a VW or Skoda and visited Porsche showroom just for fun. They gave me their Boxster 718 to drive by myself and me and my wife loved the drive so much that we ended up buying a 981 Boxster S. Loving that car ever since ! I was especially surprised by Porsche dealer s trust and freeness towards the customer. They are really open to even day long test drives
Awesome car and love the channel. On a tangent, Aha. I tried the exact same thing in Porsche Guildford. I was 18, I got showed the door. It didn’t help that as soon as I walked in quickly realised I was the only black individual in the dealership and before I even got to the reception I was politely showed the door back out. I got a brochure but I got my friend to do the same thing right after I got chucked out. The leadership in the car industry doesn’t have as much diversity as the fan base behind it so if there’s something you can do to give younger aspiring fans the inspiration you once got, IMO it would be a great way to pay the gesture forward.
WOW!!! Awesome color combo!!!! That blue is phenomenal!!!! Congratulations on getting the car you’ve been wanting for so long!!! Have a blast making memories with your family with it!!!!
Congratulations on your purchase! Just like you, I have spent many years, specifically, 33 years saving for my Porsche. I have finally ordered my 2021 911 Cabriolet 4S in Guards Red with a tan interior. I am waiting for my allocation. I will be test driving many of them at Barber Race Way in Birmingham, AL in September. I cannot wait to get my car!
Gotta admit I'm not real that much into Porsche but that is serious the classiest best example I've seen. Too many people fall in the trap of clashing colours and added extras. Your car here just screams classy. You Sir are the poster boy for why sometimes less is more.

Still can’t get my head around the sports exhaust. Should be quad tailpipes.

This car and specs is absolutely gorgeous. Especially the extorior is spot on. Third time I am watching this video now, whoops :)
Great story James, really inspiring I feel like a lot of the viewers are going to connect with that including myself. We all have dream cars and stories about when we were younger dreaming about future cars. Been watching your videos since you started your channel keep it going.
What a car, and lovely colour for it. Congrats James!
AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver
yup. he has a video on his channel about it look it up :)
That’s an awful lot of ‘tip of the hats’ you’ve got there 🤣
I can’t get over the tail. I know... but I am taking deliver of a 2020 911 4S in 3 weeks. Congratulations on your turbo!
“Nice tip of the Hat” counter needed 😂 love the car congrats. Interior is special! Well done.
Beautiful spec, James💙
Congratulations James!! What a car!! 🙌🏼👊🏼
James, captivating story about your childhood and a dream come true. Inspiring! Your interior color choice has me thinking about getting this color option on my 992 build. Your review resonated with me, thank you for taking the time to create this. Cheers!
Thanks for watching Juan!
Great story. I have a story as well from when I was 16. Finally got my 1st 911 when I was 53. I forgot mine until you shared yours. Thanks.
Fab car!
Didn't really get the "I managed to get my hands on MR11 JWW plate" you've had that for years 😂
I don't really trust youtubers anymore.
That blue paint is truly stunning, not sure about the interior. Look forward to future videos with the Turbo S.
interior is hideous
Congrats mate! Can't wait to see your reaction to its 0-60
I had a golr R in lapiz blue. And agree with everything you say about the blue. It’s divine. On a cloudy day it would be a dark navy. Yet in the sun it popped and went a fantastic punch blue. Dream of having a Porsche. Nice to see yours come true.
Love seeing people make their dreams come true. Congrats man!
One day I'll own a car like this
The perfect spec, exactly how I did one on the configurator well done James!!!
this looks amazing,, I love Porsche's design and all but imagine how good the front end would look on this if they parted way with the classic oval headlights and went with something more aggressive and angular,, kind of like the 718ish
Actual tailpipes: oval.
Tailpipes on the multimedia system: squared.
WTF, Porsche?
Came here to say exactly the same thing!!
The oval tailpipes are optional. The standard ones are squared.
@@Bolle398 thank you captain
Car is basically unusable now.
Really love the exterior color. Curious to know why there is no front plate? Is it road legal in the UK with no front plate on the car?
No, it is definitely not legal
Just for the video
Wonderful color, James ! And a wonderful story to be told. I would like to see you with your wife and son in it !
I have had the same experience with a Porsche dealer in Holland, where my son was handed a cool poster without us asking for it.
Holand speed limit 100 km/h ... nobody need for Porsche.
Trump Ameri Thanks for reminding me 🙁
@@pasquale78 hahahaha
Can’t wait to see myself owning one of the 992 Porsche 🥺😭😭
Contratulations for this masterpiece of a car.
Greetings from Stuttgard, Germany! ;-)
Stuttgart
Komme auch von Stuttgart :D
GORGEOUS 911 992 TURBO S 🔥 🔥
It can't get better than this. 20 years, fantastic story and impressive dark blue colour on that 911 is no words. Congrats, mate.
Car is beautiful but it always makes me laugh how a UK dealer can supply and allow a car to go out with no front number plate. Highly illegal.
I am only 15 years old and the love I have for the Porsche turbo S is incredible💎💎✨❤️
In Jeremy Clarkson's voice: "Yeeeessss"
What a testimony! Very humbling. Congratulations on your 911 purchase.
That slate blue interior is absolutely gorgeous. The 911TS is really a top tier dream car.
Can hear TGE crying from my house
He’s too busy making cash and driving his Carrera GT to pick his up.
James he didn’t even order one
he did, coming his week
Hes crying in his ikea ferrari
James Doubt JWW is arsed considering he owns NVN probably makes in a month what TGE makes in a year. Don’t be fooled by the financed whips
“Tip of the hat” is the new “some context” 😂😂
6:17 Another kid walking in the dealership... hopefully he got the experience and inspiration you were talking about :)
Gotta admit I'm not real that much into Porsche but that is serious the classiest best example I've seen. Too many people fall in the trap of clashing colours and added extras. Your car here just screams classy. You Sir are the poster boy for why sometimes less is more.
The guy that helped you spec it deserves a raise
