This happened on my 21st birthday. I was at Pluckers on shepherd and during the game, multiple people were standing on booth seats cheering, strangers were hugging each other, you couldn’t hear anything over the roar of people. Watching one of the best games in baseball w my friends and family (and other very excited Astros fans) was the best gift I could’ve gotten

There is no game where you can fully say that’s baseball. It’s a classic game and it was a fun game. Pitching was bad, but the excitement was there.

i remember watching this game in the common area of my dorm room my freshman year of college. there were about 10 of us there and hardly any of them had ever seen a baseball game before, but they were all getting so hype and i think this game brought them into the sport which is cool to think about.
Take it from a Texas Rangers fan, that greatest sports moment will turn into a nightmare if they don't raise the flags at the end, 2011 World Series, up 3 games to 2, bottom of 9th, two outs and the Rangers are one strike away, David Freese at the plate, most gut renching sports moment in my life. Finish the deal Houston, do what the Rangers couldn't do up 3-2 on the road. The closest Texas has gotten to winning a series.

Probably my favorite stat is that you are considered successful if you succeed 3/10 times. It teaches you that it's ok to fail and to go through hardships, if you keep grinding and eventuall you'll succeed. This used to be my favorite game ever played, and I don't even care about either team. It was just so incredible. So much energy. So much drama. The back and forth, like a great boxing match. The crowd's insanity. Everything about it was so good for baseball, so incredibly compelling, so amazing to watch. I even loved the train whistle, which, if I were a Dodger fan would give me nightmares the rest of my life. But now I watch it and feel nothing. You can hear the "charge" whistle right before Altuve's home run (among other places), and they were cheating throughout the whole damn game. Now I watch it, and I feel no positive emotion. Second, before Altuve smoked that 3 run HR in the 5th, he hit a towering foul ball that was in the stands right next to the pole. Before he hit that, there was the charge whistle. That pitch was an 89 MPH sinker. The next pitch, the same whistle was blown and it was a 92-94 MPH Fastball. Two different pitches with two different speeds on the same whistle. Try to come up with better excuses on why “we don’t deserve the trophy”

Both teams in huge WS drouts, it came down to the last inning in the last game. Nothing will top that one for a while.

There is no game where you can fully say that’s baseball. It’s a classic game and it was a fun game. Pitching was bad, but the excitement was there.

i remember watching this game in the common area of my dorm room my freshman year of college. there were about 10 of us there and hardly any of them had ever seen a baseball game before, but they were all getting so hype and i think this game brought them into the sport which is cool to think about.

Probably my favorite stat is that you are considered successful if you succeed 3/10 times. It teaches you that it's ok to fail and to go through hardships, if you keep grinding and eventuall you'll succeed.

This used to be my favorite game ever played, and I don't even care about either team. It was just so incredible. So much energy. So much drama. The back and forth, like a great boxing match. The crowd's insanity. Everything about it was so good for baseball, so incredibly compelling, so amazing to watch. I even loved the train whistle, which, if I were a Dodger fan would give me nightmares the rest of my life.
But now I watch it and feel nothing. You can hear the "charge" whistle right before Altuve's home run (among other places), and they were cheating throughout the whole damn game. Now I watch it, and I feel no positive emotion. Frankly, I feel nothing. And that makes me really, really angry.
Fuck you, Houston, for taking away something like this from not only me, but from all baseball fans. Enjoy your tainted trophy, you bastards.

Second, before Altuve smoked that 3 run HR in the 5th, he hit a towering foul ball that was in the stands right next to the pole. Before he hit that, there was the charge whistle. That pitch was an 89 MPH sinker. The next pitch, the same whistle was blown and it was a 92-94 MPH Fastball. Two different pitches with two different speeds on the same whistle. Try to come up with better excuses on why “we don’t deserve the trophy”
