  • This video explains how to replace the pressure sensor, part #AS302 or 16238399 to fix the evap code PO452. Also may fix PO446 PO453 and more? This is on a Silverado pickup, but also relates to many more GM vehicles.

Same with me changed the pump and not pressure sensor instant code luckfor me i took the box off to get to the pump and hadn't put it back on so changing sensor was easy .also check fuel lines for rot while you have tank access thanks for video

I thought about taking the box off. Not sure which way is harder... Ha ha... Good suggestion on checking for bad lines, especially on older vehicles.

I ran the code reader on my 98 blazer yesterday and got the same code
    It's an emmission sensor

Are these sensors supposed to be replaced when the fuel pump is replaced? Just recently had my fuel pump replaced and shortly after my check engine light came on with a code p0452 evap. Emission control system pressure low but not sure what that means or if replacing it would fix it. Oh and it cost me almost $1000 for this.

Many fuel pump assembly's come with that sensor included, some don't. Replacing that sensor did fix my codes, but that code could be caused by several different things? If you paid that much, take it back and tell them you want it fixed correctly (no codes).

    Did it clear?

It did clear, and didn't come back on. I did have a PO442 code come up a couple months later, but I think maybe that's my gas cap? I cleared that one and no codes since then.

I bought a pump online and it came with a pressure sensor, but while the pump worked fine the sensor was shot. So gotta drop that tank AGAIN.

What tools did u need to take the old valve off top tank

It's been awhile but I think it just pulls/snaps out. Put a screwdriver under and pry up. It has a wide o-ring ribbed gasket that holds it in.
