hi antthony when i saw this loco in tonys trains of rugby i just had to have it as im from the south west and the 50s got there history mainly on the south routes and also yeah i am biosed i love anything to do with plymouth and laira depot. the loco itself is a brill model and i will be getting more when dapol release them. just needs running in and oiling. glad you enjoyed the video as always and hope yourself and the family are all well. peter
hi euan glad you enjoyed the video as always and i must admit im so glad i grabbed it cant wait to get it chipped for dcc especially with the slow crawl it can do on dc i want to see what it can do on dcc. i hope you and the family are well. peter

hi ya mate glad you enjoyed the video and hope it brought back some great memories. i must admit its my child hood in plymouth with all the different locos we had makes me so want to get them all for the n gauge layout. and i must admit ive not seen a farish class 50 so i cant say better or not. hope yourself and the family are all safe and well. peter

hi thank you for the info i will be looking at zimo decoders. what is the best voltage to run them at as my dcc controller goes from 12 to 18 volt???. peter
@@chelmswoodjunction 16v would be the max I would go personally with N gauge DCC - other more experienced modellers may say otherwise. Dont use Dapol decoders they don’t have short protection. Bachmann / farish ones do as made by Zimo. Its not worth saving £3-4 when your £120 loco goes pop when the decoder fries and takes out the loco PCB. Trust me, i learnt the hard way.
Great layout and I like the TMD.
hi mark
the TMD was bought second hand and it needed some work but it did run ok it is now part of warley model railway club collection.

Hi Peter. You keep buying hoodies with the printing reversed!

Is the name of this layout a play on Chelmsley Wood?
Hi Mark
It's a cut down version of the name yes.

Zimo or any that is surge protected. These little models can blow on DCC if theres a short. Less forgiving than OO.
