Hi richard Thank you for the brill comment always nice to have one from you. And will admit you got a nice set from Tony with lner class 800. Hope your all well. Peter
Nice additions to the fleet. With thanks to magnet couplers. I am coming to N scale myself. Hornby has locked me out of the OO gauge market but I like the N scale models that are coming through.
hello and thanks you for your nice comment i did get a nice little haul of goodies and have had great fun making video for many of the items. glad you enjoyed the video. peter
Hi onno As always pleased to have a lovely message from yourself. Glad you enjoyed the video as always and hope you and the family are good and well. Peter
Hi Lee Thank you so much for your nice comments as always just had the January blues and needed some model railway retail therapy. Hope you and the family are all well. Peter
Great haul love the loom of that Evening Star pack. I've just pre ordered a Dapol Flying Scotsman in br green (as preserved) I don't have a layout but may start collecting n gauge.
Whoa! That was like CHristmas and birthday rolled into one! That's quite a haul... and some gorgeous cars. The Dapol set is really nice... gonna have to see it when you review it out of the box! I liked the 101 set... nice livery! In the end... too many to ever pick a favorite!
Hi Anthony I must admit I can't pick a fav at the mo. But it's a start to my gwr themed layouts. When I spotted the pines express set I just had to have it. Glad you enjoyed the video as always and hope the family and yourself are all OK. Peter
pacers (skippers as they called them) did run on the western region in that livery - but not for very long. they were unsuccessful and got transfered to the north.
Hi Tim Thank you so so much for the info I'm glad that it can run on a great western themed layout. Glad you enjoyed the video hope the family and yourself are all well. Peter
A batch of 142’s were allocated to Plymouth Laria when they were new and were painted in chocolate and cream, they were used on the various Devon and Cornwall branch lines, there were not successful and sent north and replaced with heritage DMU’s
hi frank i think i do remember as a kid back in the 80s that i did see these units in that livery. good times spent on plymouth station waiting for family rolling in on the hsts with there brilliant sounding valenta engines the sight sound and smell will never leave me. thank you so much for the info i will remember this for the review video on it. hope yourself and the family are all well. peter
Nothing like a spend up I went to Ian allen at Waterloo the other year for a DVD came out with a bachnann mk 2 a bus and two DVDs and some other bits and bobs 😂😂
I didn't mean to get all of it but I thought sod it I needed cheering up January blues. Glad you enjoyed the video as always and hope the family are all well. Peter
Hi Peter! Great Haul! you made some great choices of stock and I'm sure they will get plenty of use! Regarding adding dcc, keep away from the lais dcc decoders and the Dapol ones aren't much better they have rubbish motor control but they are ok for lighting dummy ends of locos, My personal preference would be the Zimo decoders but many people also like the Lenz decoders. Hope this helps! All the best Tony.
Hi Tony Thank you for the advice I will definitely look into those decoders. And glad you liked the video and choices I made more videos on them to come soon. Hope you and the family are well take care. Peter
Lovely. Can't beat spending a wad of cash on stuff Peter. Strangely I've just been looking at Class 68 Rapid... the full sized one though 😁 Great video mate. Cheers Pete
@@chelmswoodjunction the class 68s are always where i work. Usually 4 at a time.... but I can't say where 😉🤣 it is a strange coincidence though isn't it 👍

@@chelmswoodjunction Thanks for your reply. I'm just a tad concerned as I've just ordered the evening star pack for myself and now I'm worried it could have a fault, being new to N gauge and not even having a track layout built yet. Should I be concerned?

Hi chris
Unfortunately had to take the evening star pack back as it just overloaded any controller on any layout.

The Dapol 68 is an excellent runner, and is next 18.
Well if its anything like it's oo version it will be a cracking runner.

Were you pleased with the 9F i.e. is it a good runner? Don't think I've missed any feedback but apologies it it passed me by!
i was disappointed with the 9f it had an issue with it as it kept overloading any layout it went on so had to take it back.
