A very useful comparison, thank you. I have the Max3 pen but am not too pleased with the general handling and weight. I like the Staedtler Noris Digital Classic but I wish it had an eraser function so I might buy the Jumbo version next. The carry case I use for the Max3 has pen loops sewn in which may be too small for the Lamy. I have always used Lamy fountain pens and love the ergonomics. It is easy to buy the Boox stylus kit and good to know they fit the Lamy too. Staedtler spare nibs only cost about £7 for a set of 5 so we are all set for choice
I bought the LAMY EMR pen for my Boox Note Air Plus 2 but the eraser does not work. Is there any settings I need to change on the boox to make the pen's eraser work?
Is the nib your using PC/EL nib or POM? They said POM is more for matte surface which Boox Note Air 3C has, so should I buy POM nibs? Thanks in advance for your advice here.
Are you using a screen protector? I suppose you prefer Lamy the most? I'm quite dissapointed with Staedler coz there's much friction with the screen when writing.
No, I am not using any screen protector. I prefer the LAMY, but I must admit it is primarily for the looks. The friction thing is hugely subjective. Some people desire more friction for a more "pencil on paper" writing feeling. Others prefer a "glide-on-glass" feeling. I enjoy both. I don't think any of the pens in this video has too much friction.
Thanks for the review. I recently bought a Note Air, I don't do much writing on it but mostly annotating PDFs. The Note Air pen seems to me very sharp and hard, I'm a little worried it can even scratch the glass, especially because I don't know if it's gorilla glass or anything similar. Have you noticed any scratches on your screen due to the pen?
I don't know for sure but I think there are comprehensive reviews on other channels with different pens and nibs. Check "my deep guide" or "one more ink"?
@@EReaderChannel Thank you for your reply. Yes, it would be nice if there was a reset button. Actually, now the erasing function is a bit better than before. I hope I am was wrong to think that it is defective.
What do you think about the nib quality of lamy? I can't find any replacement nibs on sale and ı wonder that how long can it stay sturdy if ı use everyday?
I think the overall quality is good but I cannot say about its durability, because I only use my pen occasionally. I did notice that softer pen nibs are relatively more prone to wear. The note air pen seems to be harder and more durable.
Arggh! When doing a comparative review, do not refer to all the products as 'this one'! Or at least put up a text overlay identifying the product you are talking about at that moment.
Very good review, thaks. Like that Lamy.
Best comparative review for pens for the Onyx
There is a new pen coming. Subscribe and stay tuned for the review!

Thank you for sharing this! I agree with your assessment of the pens very much.
The one real advantage of the Lamy pen is... It's got a protective cap!
Exactly!
Great review - Thank you. Good to see real ink on your fingers too. ;)
I have the onyx air 2 and for me its not a glossy surface (7:10)
hi the device in the video is Onyx Boox Note Air 1. they changed the texture a bit in Note Air 2
I bought the LAMY EMR pen for my Boox Note Air Plus 2 but the eraser does not work. Is there any settings I need to change on the boox to make the pen's eraser work?
the button works out of the box with my note air (gen-1). I am not sure if they changed the software for Note Air Plus 2
Does it work with Boox Tab Ultra 10.3?

Sorry I don’t know which configuration it is. I think you can always purchase extra nibs so don’t worry too much about that
Very nice pens.

@@EReaderChannel so the staedler gets closer to paper friction levels than the lamy?
@@Qwertworks Yes, that is how I feel. It is very subjective though.

i realize it is quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to watch newly released tv shows online?
@@alejandroezequiel265 u mean like for free? A pirate site?
What nibs are you using on the Lamy? The POM or the other ones?
Sorry I am not sure. It has more of a rounded nib.
In the video, it says PC/EL nibs outside the box.
Apart from its own and Onyx Max nibs, is the Lamy compatible with wacom nibs?
I don't know for sure but I think there are comprehensive reviews on other channels with different pens and nibs. Check "my deep guide" or "one more ink"?
Yes it's compatible.

My Lamy eraser is not working properly :( I mean sometimes it works, sometimes i try to rub and it writes. Does it happen to anybody?
I haven’t noticed that on mine. I wonder if there is a way to “reset” the pen. Does reinstalling or replacing the nibs work?

Which one you think is best to write?
For some reason, I use the Note Air pen the most. I think Norris digital jumbo and Lamy both write very well for me.

My bad. I realized that after the recording, too. I'll see if I can add corrections to uploaded videos. Thanks for pointing it out!
