While I watched some old videos on TH-cam, I noticed there was 2D barcode on I-131 form (not the small one next to page #, the big one above the page #). It’s now showing empty space in your video and how I see it from uscis download. I just want to make sure I did not miss anything?

Hi Kseniya, great explanation! However, the "Alien Registration Number (A-Number) field only accepts numbers. The same is true for other fields such as date fields. So, there's no way to enter "None" on such numeric or date fields. But, if you are using a non-windows computer and an old version of Adobe, then you might be able to do that.
Hey there! Yes it’s a pain, these forms are definitely not easy to deal with. I usually have to use Adobe first and then edit the rest using a computer browser’s Adobe reader to fill in the rest.
I found out that we can turn Javascript off on Adobe Reader. Then you will be able to type N/A. However, since there are calculated fields on these forms, make sure you turn Javascript on again after hours are done with those tex fields you want to type N/A.

Hi, I filed I-131 and I-145 concurrently for my parents. They are in the US on tourist visa which will expire in 2 months. We just got biometrics done today. As you said it takes time and sometimes green card approval comes sooner than I-131. Does it makes sense to apply for I-131 at this point? Should I just wait for their green card approval instead?

One question: with the new fee increase in the I-131, I’m questioning if I should even apply… I read on their instructions that if I depart from the US before getting my Advance Parole Document issued, my application for the APD will be considered abandoned. I’m currently on an H1B visa and I’m planning on going on a trip outside of the US about 2 months after my application; I know that my Green Card application won’t be affected thanks to the exception of also having an active H1B at the time of reentry, but do you know if the same exception would be applied for the Advance Parole? Or as is stated in the instructions, it would be considered abandoned?

If you’re still employed for the same company and your H status remains valid at the time of re-entry you should be fine. If, however you do apply for advance parole and use it for travel, your H status will automatically be cancelled. So be careful considering that

Hi Kseniya, I arrived here in US as K1 visa and we got married and got my SS card and my middle name there is my mom's maiden name, and when we went to SSA we found out ithat my.middle name in our mareiage certificate is my mom's maiden name and I cant change it unless we go to the court and have it change our marriage certificate. If I have received parole document valid for one year, my EAD has been extended. Have applied for parole document extension, have received acknowledgement only and not approval for extension. Can I still travel and enter US again while my parole extension is still awaiting approval while my initial parole provided has expired?

hello! my wife is filing for a green card adjustment through marriage. from what ive read on most other forms its recommended to use your new married name so everything can change right away, and its easier. in wisconsin there is no automatic name adjustment, so our marriage cert has her maiden name. can we use the new married name we want moving forward? or does she have to use her maiden?

My husband and I are both Canadian citizens and I've been with my husband since 1985 we were married in 2000 when we moved to the us and we both had active Green cards and in 2012 2013 actually we had some issues and I moved back to Canada we are both still legally married and we decided recently to get back together and I am still in Canada but would like to reactivate my green card it is still valid as it is not expired but how would I get back to Texas on my green card legally

For class of admission what should you put if you are DACA but didn’t enter with a VISA.

1. The class admission must only match the new status in the US even if your i94 shows the old status because you have not traveled outside the US after your change of status?
2. Is there any need to provide explanation for travel when you are sending the 131 along with 485 at the same time and do not have a USCIS receipt of 485?

Your 2nd question exactly: You file all of your forms at once and do not have a receipt of the I-485 yet, so how do you provide proof of receipt? Catch-22

@@dominikpiestrzeniewicz7563 What I did was just file the I-94 (arrival/departure form) since the I-485 was filed at the same time. My thought is that I cannot be the first person to have this happen so the USCIS must know to look for the I-485 when processing the forms. The process is still ongoing so no answer on if it it the correct way to proceed.

If I filed I-131 in May of 2023 on paper (I think) concurrent with my electronic filing I-130, and with my I-485, how do I get an update? Can I refile electronically to maybe speed it up and have 2 applications in? I received my work permits like 3 months after submitting all my applications but my travel permit is taking forever. It seems the filling fee is now $630 after April 1, 2024 even though you file this with I-485. If filing for parents, I think green card usually comes within 3-6 months. Does it makes sense to not file I-131? If there is any emergency we can always use the Emergency travel option. What is your recommendation?

Maam I am a green card holder but i travel here in Philippines together with my american citizen and he is a minor we travel here last 2019 may 3rd and i supposed to comeback in US july 5 2019 but suddenly june 2019 i was sick very bad and i didnt able to go back as my returning date and last 2020 and 2021 it was lock down here in Philippines totally and 2022 my passport was expired and i have to renew it and also the American passport of my son was expired too and that time 2022 also is not in normal yet everything is online process and again i was so sick till 2023 i supposed to have everything beside the only thing have to get done my sons American passport done but suddenly our house hit by the fire añl our neighbors too and my documents to travel burned too and i have left copy of my un expired green card and ssn in my phone but i have my new passport with me now and just wanted to ask do you think that i can still be. In "General Requirements" section "1.Initial Evidence" - "c.Advance Parole Document for Individuals Who Are Currently in the United States" there is "If you are in the United States, you must attach: (1) A copy of any document issued to you by USCIS showing your present status, if any, in the United States".
As I understand I should attach I-94 form in this case.

I-94 form was issued by CBP, not by USCIS. Is it ok to attach such I-94 (CBP) as evidence?

Yes you can attach CPB’s I-94 and any other form proving status, such as any current application receipts (unless filing at the same time)

Hi so I applied for AOS through marriage by mail. I got my i130 approved in less then 4 months but my work permit says it has 3 months left to receive the decision. Now my i131 says it got 3 weeks left but it says it’s on a step where it says complete biometric though i only done the i485 and i765 biometric so I’m confused about what to do so do I just wait or who do i ask to get a biometric appt for my i 131? And how!

Part 7. You said: "most people will only be able to use their adv. parole for one trip". Why so? Will it be a problem if check "more than one trip" and to try use it for more than 1 trip?
There is no problem selecting more than one trip. Most applicants wait so long for this form to be approved they only get one chance to use it.
