    1. A DV winner can request for reentry permit immediately after entering to the US?

Thanks for being clear in explanation. 1) Can you return to the U.S. with a 10-year permanent green card that still has 1 month before it expires? 2) If you're renewing your 10-year permanent resident card, can you still travel while waiting for the new green card to arrive? If not, is there a form you need to fill out? Thanks again.

Please I have an issue. I’m a Green card holder through the DV lottery, but I haven’t yet received my green card. The raison they gave me is that they didn’t receive the sealed envelope that I dropped at the airport when I entered in US. I went to the immigration last month to fill the form for them to reproduce the visa packet and process my green card.My visa will expire in September and I need to go overseas in October. Can I use the I-131 form to come back in US??

    Hi Kseniya,
I am a permanent US resident, originally from Venezuela. As a permanent resident I would like to apply for a Reentry Permit because getting a passport from Venezuela is much more difficult and I am not going back to Venezuela. Is it ok to use a Reentry like a passport?

  • @martinejanssens1887

The best explanation ever! Absolutely crystal clear! 👍
I am a Belgian citizen residing in Singapore. Me eldest son (28y) is a US citizen. We applied for my I-485 while I was with him in 2017. My biometrics were done. But I waited very long for my advance parole even filing as “expedited processing”! Unfortunately I had to return for my youngest son ( a minor at that time) who entered university in Singapore before my I-131 was received. As a result my whole application was abandoned. I was informed I might be unable to re-enter the USA within 3 years. Now it’s nearly 4 years later and I would love to return to join my eldest son and his family.
    1) Do I have a risk when I want to enter the US?
    2) Do I need to reapply for everything including I-130 to establish relationship or can I pick up where I left off somehow?
I really appreciate your professional advice and assistance on this matter.
A million thanks in advance! 🙏

    • @KseniyaInternational
      @KseniyaInternational  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Hi, you would have to start from the beginning. Your son may be able to submit I130 and you can try to go through the process via consular processing. Another avenue is to do it the same way you did it the first time, however you entered the US.

As explained by her if you want to stay outside of the USA for less than 6 months you need not require it.
In our case we stayed in India for 10 months after receiving our Green Card (that is less than a year) we didn't take a reentry permit and we are now in the USA at present (May 2024) without any problem.
As we want to stay in India for more time to take care of my 85 years old Mother we have applied for the reentry permit and our biometrics have been waived. Now we are waiting for their response for the reentry permit.

El proposito de pedir este permiso de viaje es nada más por si hubiera una emergencia en mi familia en Guatemala, es la unica razón por la que viajaria mientras está en trámite mi residencia. En la parte 7 y pregunta 1 marco la casilla: one trip or more than one trip?
La otra pregunta es: al poner una fecha (que ni siquiera es segura porque yo no saldria a menos que fuera por una emergencia) puedo usar el permiso de viaje en otra fecha? Por ejemplo si simplemente quisiera ir a visitar familia?

Hi: My wife and son are from Ukraine. They have I-94s via Military PIP. I am a US veteran. We need to go back to Ukraine to see her father who is sick with a hemoglobin disease and may not live much longer and to renew our son's passport (it expires in August and the embassy says it will take up to a year if we mail it in). She needs her medical/immunization records and we need to clear out her house and put her house up for sale. We need her medical records and his passport renewed to apply for their green cards- so we haven't yet applied for green cards. My question is: Do you know if we can we apply for documents to travel back to Ukraine to do these things? If so, we can't understand which travel document we should apply for?

My husband (DACA) just got his advance parole I-512 and it says it’s valid for one exit and one entry between 1/6/23 and 2/15/23. His immigration attorney says we are waiting on another EAD card to come stating he can travel as I-512…. But everything I’m seeing online seems like they aren’t issuing those anymore? Is the I-512 document the only thing we need in order to travel? We have that and his passport and his regular DACA card that obviously says “not for re entry” so we are just confused… but running out of time while supposedly waiting on another card?

As mentioned in the video, a reentry permit is for permanent residents who are planning to be out of the country for more than 1 year but less than 2 years.

You can travel but you will still need a valid passport. and to enter USA you will need your approved travel document as well (NOT EAD. EAD gives you employment authorization only. Make sure your card says “doubles as advance parole”, which is the travel permission).
