It’s not that surprising. Everyone is just over dramatic. A four year old being fussy and crying because they don’t want to do something is normal. They’re going through their “youre not the boss of me!” phase. They’re most likely not going to be traumatized for life because their mom put them in a dress :/

She wasn't really moody in the show, either tho. Toddlers will tell you when they don't want to do something or don't want something to happen, they will also act out when they are tired
Of course she does - putting on a pretty face and faking it is all she’s ever been taught to do. The appearance of complete aversion and incapacity for normal developmental stress is going to catch up to her when she’s 40yrs old and “cuteness” and entitlement no longer pay the bills. And no matter what it sounds like I honestly hope I’m wrong… but it’s a matter of time before the pills, booze, and abusive relationships may take her life too soon. I’m sorry for what your mom did to you, Eden, but sorrier still for what the real world has in store for you if you are unable to learn your own value and develop an identity independent of your mother’s.
The mom plays it up for the cameras, but she must be doing something right for the daughter have turned out so sweet and normal. It's so easy to dismiss the blonde barbie bimbo persona, but I think we do so to our own detriment. Eden sounds like she has big aspirations in life far beyond being pretty, I hope all her dreams come true.

She is. Mickie is a little much irl, I don’t think it’s much of an exaggeration lol. but she’s a good mom. eden is honestly a pretty normal kid and Mickie let’s her have cool opportunities but at the end of the day she’s a high schooler
No thats her true personality she use to be my school music teacher in Taylor. She is an amazing woman with a big heart.
Most TLC shows have a script...I mean here comes homey boo boo was all scripted. And they did it so people would fall in love with the family and her personality when its not even how she was😂

I think this is some super old material, because if she was 14 now, that'd mean she was entering pageants while being around two years old... which we clearly can see is not the case. So I guess she is about 18 now at least.

She is absolutely beautiful. Love her eyes and her personality is SO freaking cute. She's so funny, and she seems so happy and bubbly. I'm honestly glad her mom retired her from pageants at 6 and is just now coming back. People wanting to talk ish about the mom...This mom loves the crap out of her daughter. Possibly too much even lol. AND NO not just when she is competing. if that were the case she would have never retired her from pageants at age 6 to take like an 8 year break. She would have (like the other insane pageant moms) kept pushing her to do pageants, no matter what, if that's what she cared most about. SO how about we don't spread false accusations and paint a bad picture of someone when u don't know what u are talking about? She and her momma have a blast together and that is very obvious.
Eden grew into a beautiful young lady with many interests. Her Mom has put so much pressure on her, and Eden is delightful in spite of her Mother. Eden has a sense of humour and fun. I really like her!
People can say what they want but this mom made it fun for her child. I’ve judged a lot of pageants and I’ve seen kids get yelled at, cussed at, I’ve seen it all. This little girl loves what she did because it was fun.
Thank You to the mom because she made her child so outgoing without losing her childhood and helping her grow into this funny goofy and beautiful girl.

I think the secret is the mom genuinely loves her daughter and she puts that before anything else she’s a pageant mom but not a stage mom.
This little girl really deserved everything she won! Her temper isn’t bad, (unlike some OTHER ppl ik) and she really seems to enjoy the pageants! Her mom is very supportive of her as well, so you go gurl!

when she was little, the tantrums she had were from all the pageant stress and pressure, not her being a brat . i mean, she was just a little girl! I've never saw her as a spoiled brat compared to the other little pageants back then. she grew up well, shes beautiful inside and out! Go Eden!

The toddlers in this show show some insane emotional control. They scream and hit when off the stage, acting often like some of the worst brats I've ever seen. But when they hit the stage- they smile and walk with poise. The tantrums immediately stop. I've never in my life witnessed a child able to do that.
She needed the break, it would have turned her into something else if she kept going and honestly she looks great and has a wonderful personality and sense of humor.

I don't know if it's my competitive dance upbringing, but I never got bad vibes from these two. Mickie was willing to go the extra mile for Eden, and to some, it looks excessive. They both always seemed to be on the same page and I always loved this dynamic. Few kids who come from performance backgrounds at such a young age will grow up to be this well adjusted. I just hop it continues.

I was my mom's obsession as well, and as soon as Eden make her first huge life mistake, it's going to crush her mom and Eden will feel guilty for a long time ..it's not healthy to be so obsessed about your child, that your child can't make mistakes without worrying how it will affect the mom. After my first huge life mistake, my mom told me that I crushed her insides and left her a shell, that was 40 yrs ago and that guilt has stayed with me my whole life....I was able to be her sole care giver for the last 3 yrs of her life, the Lord blessed us with that time, but I'll never get over the guilt of what I put her through...if she had not been so obsessed with me, it would not have been such a big deal....but at the same time, I was blessed to have a moma that loved me so much...
Donna R. You didn't put your mom through anything. She did it to herself. Stop feeling guilty. You took care of her until she passed. That's the greatest gift a child can give their parents, is being their caregiver.
Yeah it might be helpful for the mother to get her own hobbies and interests. Because one day the child is going to want to move into a sharehouse, go on a holiday on her own or get married and the mother is going to feel worthless if she doesn't have her own life. Plus the mom isn't always going to be able to organise everything for the kid on her behalf or fight her battles for her. If she gets a job and has a fight at work what would she do? Call her mom? I mean not letting your daughter sleep i her own bed until she's about 12 is not teaching independence.
Nah, I don’t agree. It’s all about balance. I am completely obsessed with my 14 yo daughter. Like 5 years ago I considered soccer ridiculus, but she wanted to play, fast forward, I am now a soccer coach for U6 and we do SO much stuff together. And she slept in my bed until she was 12 and still do whenever she feels like it. She is kind hearted, independent and so f-ing capable and when she thinks she may have made a mistake, she comes to me for advice, because she knows she will be offered an opinion, but that I respect her decicions on how to handle it in the end.
I love her personality she's beautiful and more down to earth then some of the other ones

I had hyperhidrosis in my hands and pits too. Got surgery that clipped the over active nerves causing the excessive sweating when I was 13. Best decision of my life for sure. It is so wonderful being able to hold my kids (I have 4) and cuddle my hubby and pet my cat without having to worry about sweat getting on everything.
One thing the surgery doesn't fix is feet and leg sweat. But that's fine. That's what socks are for and the legs are only a problem if I am very nervous or scared.

As a mom of daughters, I can only hope I'm sitting there cracking up laughing with them as robustly & genuinely as Eden & her mom are here!! They seem like their pageant experience has left them with an honest, close bond & I'm glad it ended up being an overall positive experience for little (not so little anymore) Eden. She's growing up beautifully well-adjusted, as any early teen can b. Doesn't always happen

she looks like a baby Anna Nicole. she is freaking adorable and bright. it is so admirable that she is ambitious and Harvard bound! some of the moms just want their children to shine, learn poise and grace, and sportsmanship. it's not all malicious. I can tell her mom is her biggest fan and it is sweet.

Yeah she is basically saying that she is using her child to get to Hollywood and quit her teaching job. She is basically living vicariously through her child. My parents both work in the entertainment industry in Hollywood, NY, Chicago. And they really didn’t want me to be involved, it’s a brutal world, they did let me do some theater. And when I got old I liked working behind scenes a lot better. When I had my daughter.i did get approach by an agent in the family to put her in because she has very modern features my mom is Latina and my dad is Jewish and my husband is Scottish and German. So she has beautiful red hair. I did make a deal for her ONLY to do catalog work. Photos shots for target, Walmart, old navy. But absolutely NO acting and all her money is going to her college fund I have not touched a penny of it. I don’t want my kid working for me, her job is to have a normal child hood. Now the loves the photos shots and it not to bad. But if she tell me. “Mommy I really don’t want to do this. That it. She’s out. And if she really does want to do acting I want her to wait until she is a teen to make that decision. Rejection is difficult and I don’t want my child to go through that. My dad said his friend wanted her to audition for some Netflix show I said no way. Especially because it was kinda dark. I just don’t want her to be part of the acting world.
This whole episode literally showed how great of a relationship they have together Eden came out very loving and has a good bond with her mom

no she didn't....she loves for her daughter to win yes, but she clearly just loves the hell out of her daughter period. Also she retired her from pageants at 6 years old until this was made. So, clearly she cared more about her daughter and not just the pageants. Eden seems like a sweet girl, and has an adorable personality. She wasn't raised in that way or she would have turned out much differently.

In contrast with other contestants -- Iden grow up an absolutely normal teenager!))) She is funny, loves computer games, dancing, wants to go to university. Her mother is really obsessed and Iden understands it (lucky for her!). I watched other episodes and ... omg! Other girls soooooo freak! Surprisingly, the biggest star of baby beauty`s shows --- ordinary girl))) I wish her lots of happiness and love in her life!
