I’m glad Brooklyn’s mom addressed her daughter’s reaction to her friend winning. She said Brooklyn had never been disappointed before with a title, and she noticed her daughter wasn’t happy for Taralynn. Hopefully mother and daughter have a heart to heart about that when they get home.
Telling her at the time she lost, that she's disappointed in her is addressing it! Kid probably internalized it as she didn't win so Momma isnt happy with her.

Taralyn was one of those rare T&T kids who seemed to genuinely enjoy pageants and never threw a fit on camera. I think she grew up to become a really well rounded young lady.

When the kids are babies I think it's clearly not the kid's choice and it's a very inappropriate length activity for a two year old to stay focused. Plus later seasons had the Cambrie's Court thing and those people were cray cray

the nice pageant moms and dads are so wonderful and i love seeing the really happy kids
Honestly I have seen the documentary about this kind of children that are not happy but the parents day pushing dam to do it it's the parents not the children

This is one of the few episodes where the parents weren't childish or narcissistic. I also love the fact that the girl who rode horses was so well-rounded. Her mom is doing a great job of raising her, and will help her daughter learn to deal with her disappointments in a healthy way.
I think her comment on "I'm so disappointed in you," at her reaction on national TV was uncalled for. She's holding back tears and 5 years old, comments like that aren't necessary. Comfort her or take her out of the room to calm down.
Taralynn is basically the only kid I've seen look relatively similar on pagent day to what she actually looks like without the makeup and stuff

taralynn is so cute and i’m glad to see how happy the entire process makes her. so sweet.
Wow it’s so weird watching this in 2022. All three girls are in high school now (soon to graduate) Taralynn got a car for her sweet 16 birthday last year. She is also doing high school cheerleading. Zanna was also in this episode and is among some of the top gymnast in her region. I haven’t kept up with brooklyn too much but she seems to be doing well also.
Good mothers compared with the rest mums of the show! They encourage their girls and they admired them whilst they do the pageant 👏🏻
I feel like these are one of the better moms on the show it seems like their letting their kids be kids
And you can tell how much hard work they put into these and you can sorta tell it’s not forced
funny because the dollar amount of awards won is way less than the amount they spend to put them in pageants

What a cutie!!! It's nice to see a child who truly enjoys it, and isn't pressured by mom, it's nice like they bond and have fun together with it, a nice change from different situations you see in the pageant world ❤

Of course all of these children are so beautiful but I think it sends the wrong message to small children that the outside beauty is more important than what’s inside that’s the only thing that bugs me about pageants is it has nothing to do with your heart or your character it’s all about what you look like, I wouldn’t do them if I had kiddos 👶

@@shez5964 there are pageants for boys or boy categories within pageants. But they usually don't get that many competitors. A roughest and toughest competition is a sporting match.

I feel like pageant girls never have genuine smiles on stage. They seem forced and uncomfortable and everyone just shouts YAYYYY even though they're just walking?? Idk. I don't understand pageants at ALL. Brooklyn seemed so much happier when she got off stage and same with Taralyn.

Please PLEASE Have your children wear a helmet when riding horses- especially when they’re that young and small.
I’m a licensed/certified/insured riding instructor and all of my students under 18 are REQUIRED to wear a helmet.

Why would a parent dress their precious little girl in such horrible clothes, plaster their lovely face in make-up with false eye lashes and have their hair styled in an adult fashion? I have two six year old granddaughters who are beautiful without make up and will always be encouraged to be the clever, curious, funny, lovable children that they are.

I can and never will understand how parents could be so selfish and superficial to make their young children compete with each other on who is more beautiful and depriving them of a healthy childhood where they are being put adult tasks, giving them insecurities and body dysmorphia and making them feel like they are never good enough from a very young age. It is NOT a child‘s job to take care of their parent or do things for them. A parent needs to give their children what they want. Not vice versa. Making them wear a ton of makeup, fake tan etc. exposing them to dangerous chemicals as babies is beyond me. The ppl who support this are evil and need mental help. Narcissistic for sure.
I wear makeup, have big hair, but I could not possibly imagine what these mums are doing to their little girls at such young ages. I suppose the little blonde haired girl’s parents were a touch more down to earth…but I honestly couldn’t do that to a child. It’s so fake, so phoney, so bloody sad.
