“So she has more confidence and poise about her than I’ve ever had as an adult” “I’m kinda living a lost dream” Those two sentences are the reason that this show sucks and is wrong
Well the grandma’s comment is justifiable. She said she wanted to do pageants as a child too but she never got the chance too. So she’s living that dream but she isn’t taking credit for what her granddaughter has done and all her granddaughter’s success. She’s just being happy and willing to help with whatever she can so she can feel like she’s helping her granddaughter. Not to mention the little girl was actually happy to do pageants, it’s clear that she wanted to do them and she wasn’t afraid to step up on stage

I think the full glitz pageants send the wrong message to these poor girls... a young child shouldn’t have a fake tan, loads of makeup/fake lashes, hair extensions, flippers etc. A kid that young shouldn’t feel like they need all that to be considered “beautiful enough” to win. I like the all natural pageants that are mostly judged on talent so the girls can feel worthy and beautiful in their own skin without needing to look fake :( not good for their self worth and will likely affect them negatively as they grow up. When I have kids I will teach them that they are gorgeous/handsome just the way they are and don’t need to look completely different when they look in the mirror in order to win some dumb pageant. All they need to worry about it being a kid and having fun and good about themselves and these pageants force them to grow up WAY too fast🥺💔
I mean at least they're honest about living lost dreams through her. But it doesn't excuse it. As a child I always wanted to do pageants and I couldn't. Once I had my nephew who I raise, we did them together until he told me he doesn't want to. Always listen to your kids.
To be honest, she did okay in my opinion given her age. She said she was happy for her friend but admitted to feeling a little sad which is perfectly normal. You can be happy for someone while also feeling a little upset. That’s a normal reaction from a 9 year old.
I don't think that you should say that if you've never walked a mile on their shoes. The comment you made was not nice. You say they can look after their kids but not after themselves. You don't know what goes on and people's minds that have a lot of weight and you don't know the struggles that they endured to get to where they are in their weight. I took offense to that comment. What are you, so beautiful and skinny that you can look down your nose at others? I don't think you should do that. That says way more about you than it does about the people you're targeting. They are overweight but they're still valuable people and with that said many women who have children begin to have weight problems after childbirth. On the other hand, many times people endure years of trauma as children in the home, either through some type of abuse that creates that void and pain in that person to cause them to reach out to food for comfort, thus ending up as an obese individual for a good deal of their life if not their entire life... And that is so tragic and sad because they were treated so terrible and cheated out of a normal life. Nobody knows what anybody else is going through. You should be very careful about making comments concerning people's weight like this. I believe they are trying to live out their fantasy dreams of being beautiful through their daughter or maybe they wanted to do something like this as a kid or whatever but it's just best not to visit that subject because it is hurtful to a lot of people. Contrary to popular belief, fat people don't wish to be that way but life happens and a multitude of circumstances can put a person that may have been a normal weight otherwise into morbid obesity. That kind of obesity is usually lifetime. Many times people cannot overcome it. It's not easy and it's not easy to lose weight and it's not easy even more so to keep it off. People walk around with weight problems all their lives and never being able to overcome it but we are not to sit in the armchair of judgment to judge why they're overweight or that they should lose weight just so they can fit into our standards standards of America. I just think they should not even have these pageants at all. It's just not a good idea. They should be focused on other things besides their looks.

She learned to set and meet goals. Win graciously, lose graciously, made lifelong friends, interview like a champ, develop and present a talent, have grace under pressure... Things she will use all her life. We are not looking forward to her aging out of her system.
bro that blonde girl in the bun wig or if y’all call it something else I have to literally dance in those for irish dance and I mean it’s pretty difficult.
The nerves kicking in.... Definitely nothing to do with the 10 pixie sticks.
This child has this attitude due to moms attitude.
Her name is Cealy and she has a friend named Salee? 🤨
Mature middle aged women living vicariously through these little girls 😢

I’m wondering the same thing.
When they put the wig on the dog… that’s what I thought was animal cruelty
It ain't nerves! It is 11 pixie sticks!!!!!🤣

So sad. She wants to be Miss America. Well, that's her done at 20 yrs old.
3:22 This doesn't happen to me I win at all costs even if I lose I'm a winner if a judge makes a bad comment about me I say "F**k it it's not true and they can go to hell" I'm a Winner no matter what"
I swear these Americans make up names for their kids.
