I would stay there for a year because it's empty and cheap and nice. With no distractions around, I would go on a clean diet and workout everyday. 1 year would be great.
Isn’t the food a little on the expensive side though because it has to be shipped in from the main land? I was there with my wife in ‘22 for Vinpearl and the zoo plus a tour on the water. Renting a condo under 30 days is illegal in Thailand and violates the hotel act. So, a person is risking being kicked out of the condo complex if they are reported.
It's not crowded because it's grossly overdeveloped and polluted. The natives have been driven from their homes by the absurd fake cities, and their raw sewage on the beach keeps the tourists away. There are rarely two-time visits to Phu Quoc. It's another Vietnamese tourist disaster; thoughtless overdevelopment and not a thought about the environment.

I know if Thailand allows gambling legally many TH-camrs will come to Thailand to experience it. Cambodia is a perfect example. Met many people from Thailand visiting Cambodia just for the experience of casino fun. I won very time I went so far. Good restaurants and shops also inside some hotel casino's. Just a thought. Peace
You can't own a property in Vietnam as Singapore or Malaysia, you rent it for 49 years. This is best way to avoid speculation. The day you buy, the price starts falling to be 0 in 49 years.
True.
There is nothing wrong with speculation!
Great stuff Greeny!!
Thank you.
Can we apply for visa on arrival? and....like the rest of Vietnam I would assume the US$ is taken widely correct?
Visa free for 30 days. No fee. Not like the mainland. You can just show up
Nha Trang beach town has nicer view apartments at lower price. Has much better local access to amenities like airport and hospitals. Did I mention that it's half price of Phu Quoc? Check it out.
Only downside it you need a visa. Can’t just do a last second trip. Other than that it sounds great. I’ve been to Danang once too. I’m gonna investigate those places more
But can you actually stay 1 year in PQ?
I doubt it is possible in VN
Not yet.
Your like nice fireworks only 50$... i dont pay that in the states..lol.also those food street vendors...never once did tou show prices....western ones.. might as well go to florida
Fireworks anyone can see. That’s to sit in the pavilion and watch the laser show up close. Which I never did.
Buying in vietnam very risky, some developers build on public land, govt has bulldozed buildings
Its crazy how many TH-camrs from Thailand are going there. Chuck and Paige were literally just there and so was Geoffrey Perterson.
They didn’t go to phu Quoc though.
Looks like it has a Spanish feel to it 🤔 🇺🇸
That town has the weird Disney Land/shopping mall vibe. Too new and too clean for me. That being said, I wouldn't mind staying there for a few days.
It’s a good value. You just rent a motorbike and head out anywhere on the island
You know what vietnam has a lot of big project government and private sector not only in hanoi and saigon all the provinces in vietnam, this country 53% can speak english and actually of all south east asia vietnam most students going to abroad to study there and vietnam their poverty rate is less than 5% one of the lowest in the world.. if u compared thailand and vietnam development particularly their provinces vietnam provinces more development more modern than thailand provinces even indonesia provinces philippines provinces still vietnam has the edge.vietnam js beautiful
The younger generation there much more friendly
Was there last year, great people but my experience regarding English speaking Vietnamese would trend lower tham 53%…..perhaps 25% Cheers
With new Thai tax "interpretation" and immigration hassle, this is starting to look reasonable.
I’m waiting to see if this tax stuff actually ever really effects anyone
incredible
I could that place being great for a month or so to escape from burning season in thailand. I live in Chiang Mai and currently in Danang before starting a week long motorbike tour starting in Hanoi. Dont think i could live in that area with it being all planned out. I like a little more edge and natural cityscape for my taste. Definitely looking to visit Phu Quoc just to see the contrast from the local areas and the planned areas.
Lots of nature there. These developments a very small part of the island
Renting a condo under 30 days is illegal in Thailand and violates the hotel act. So, a person is risking being kicked out of the condo complex if they are reported.
This is Vietnam. Not Thailand
Hello sawatdekrap🤣Forgot that you was in Vietnam and not Thailand for a moment 🤪Hope it's not an early stage of dementia 😱
May be.
The rate of development in some areas of Vietnam is a bit concerning. I think Da Nang will be ruined in 10 years. It's still pretty good right now though.
I gotta get back to Danang
"Hello, swadee ka.....hello" 😂
Krap!!! 😂
🤩Wow!🤩
Hey this is a “helpful” hint
It’s pronounced
“Foo wok”
I was there 18 years ago, man has it changed!
Oh and my wife is Vietnamese, that’s how I know the pronunciation!
Thanks your vids are awesome!!
We have a home outside of
Ho Chi Min
Am planning to avoid the elections here probably be back in August!!
Enjoy!
Nd that told me. Thank you. I had no clue
$300 month ? That’s one night hotel in US.
Yep. Some great value
Looks like a great place for a family, not for a single bloke 🤔
Yes. Take the date there cause you won’t find one as far as I can tell
Totally cool
Thank you!!
Thank you
When I'm in PQ i'm going to stay there
Good deal now.
where are all the people?
No one goes there. Thats why I like to go there
Careful Some of that land is not properly titled or built on public land
I would only lease short term. They do offer 90 or 30 year leases. I already forgot 😂. It was like 70K USD. In nice high rise but who’s gonna do that anyways when we can’t even get retirement visas there
@@GreenyTravels visa ia a huge problem. 5 year DTV visa in Thailand 2 year entrepreneur visa in Japan
Nice vlog mate! Love it! Ima def make a trip over there this year for a lil r&r. Living Pattaya now.
Worth a few days or so
Is there a red light district?
lol. All green. Good place to take a date not find one.
Vietnam is not into sex tourism. Also, they aim this for family tourism.
Greeny speaking Thai in Vietnam..🤣🤣
File that under “Problems you like to have!” lol
lol. Yea. I did it too many times
