- They said not to take a video, but the father is holding a big stick and the son is shadow boxing in front of an enforcer.
During a clearing operation, enforcers came across two motorcycles which they believed to be illegally parked on a sidewalk.
According to enforcers, one motorcycle had already been loaded onto the tow truck, but when they tried to pick up the second motorcycle, the towing crew were scared away.
Multiple other cars and motorcycles had already been impounded along Commonwealth Avenue,f or illegal parking.

Probably in the far past, I would have been shocked to see something like this.
But now I'm so used to seeing people come out with bats, shouting at or threatening enforcers, name dropping and saying they'll lose their job and whatever else.
It seems so normal that I don't really have any reaction anymore.
That's why I often show snippets of my videos to friends before I post them. And ask them for their reaction to what they saw. It's hard for me to judge how bad something really is anymore.

just by watching videos such as this makes me feel the worth of the effort i've put into getting my professional licence and updating the papers of my trucks, car and motorcycle and thankfully just this april i renewed my licence and i was qualified for a 10 year licence

Col. Nebrija, please approach the congress through LTO, this country needs a new law that will find those who delays the MMDA operation by this incessant arguing.
Php500 for every minute of delay. BUT they will have to be clearly told and shown a timer. Now after 30 minutes the fine goes up to Php1,000 per minute. Harsh? Yes! But that may be the only way to stop this and for these people to learn. Then let's see who will still want to argue outside of the proper venue.
This can be easily be exploited by corrupt MMDA officials.

They don't get any commission. Unlike some LGU enforcers who get a commission from their City.
But either way, I can't imagine something like that ever being passed into law.

@@danieldechavez3099 The system is not corrupt, the people are corrupting it by violating the law and not wanting to go to the process and instead resort to bribing the officers. How many times have you seen someone argue to no end only to find out they don't actually have a license? I could go on and on, but the reality is a lot of Filipino riders are stubborn, undisciplined, irresponsible and incorrigible. The government has to pass a law that will hit them hard, so hard that all those I mentioned they'll be forced to learn.
I think it's time that criminal offenses should be given by the MMDA. Clearly the old man was intending to hurt someone, I don't believe that he was just trying to scare the enforcer. I've seen so many videos on operations like this where the enforcer is always getting hurt for doing their job. It wouldn't surprise me that another MMDA operation would end up with the enforcer getting hurt and ganged upon by the violator and his hooligans. Please oh please PNP be by the MMDA's side as they're risking their lives all the time to clear the streets and put order on the roads.

Once you park it on the sidewalks and you knew its a sidewalk you know that its not allowed to park on d sidewalks And once you get your license it stated and discussed about sidewalks is not allowed to park, and it doesn’t mean that you park it, front of your business it means you have the rights to park it, Don’t be ignorant in traffic laws and rules

My problem is, how do you balance "compassion" vs what I imagine is more important, which is efficient implementation/enforcement of the law. IMO, the MMDA needs to be a bit more tough with these people, because it's taking 15-30 minutes to complete an apprehension when this happens. Sometimes it even goes to and over an hour.
I've always said that MMDA should get themselves on video asking for the driver's license 3 times. If the driver declines giving the license, it is automatically driving without license or refusal to present a license, and the vehicle gets towed, fines get imposed, and the vehicle will be held in impound for a week before it can be claimed.

Tama naman, kung ayaw ibigay lisensya, driving without license. Bakit ayaw ibigay? Di naman tatago ng enforcer yun. Kukunin lang yung information ng driver para sa ticket. Isipin mo kung kada apprehension tatagal ng 15-30 minutes dahil sa kulitan sa lisensya. At di lang isang enforcer ang nasasayang ang oras dyan, minsan 3-5 tao ang nandyan dahil baka sakali magka-gulo.
Tyaka ang 5 minutes, COURTESY po yun. Hindi po yun RULE. Wala sa batas yung 5 minutes. Pwede nga nila i-tow agad yun, basta illegal parking. Pero pinagbibigyan nila na ticket nalang kung ibigay lisensya.
