Every time the MMDA catch that driver, he's using a different name. They still don't know his true identity.
That driver has been caught multiple times and the truck has been Impounded multiple times.
LTO say the drivers license he showed is fake.
It's only a matter of time before that truck kills someone on EDSA.

IIRC, LTO driver data includes the fingerprint. Why not get his fingerprint and check in the database?

Presenting a fake identification to a law enforcement officer should hold prison time. Period. Nobody cares if you don't know if it's fake. Ignorance is not an excuse. People knowingly going out to get drivers licenses through a representative(fixer), or outside of getting them from the LTO offices cannot be used as an excuse to not know if your license is fake.

Trace the owner of the truck. He/She should also be penalized or better jailed for this. The owners should be the ones to initiate checking their employee's documents before accepting them to work in the company.

I doubt it'll make a difference. The price to claim it from the impound lot is insignificant compared to how much they make. The penalties should be multiplicative on subsequent impounding. 5x the penalty on 2nd impounding. On the third make it, 40% of the value of the vehicle.

As James Deakin said, this happens because the drivers themselves don't respect their jobs as drivers. The employers are also so stingy that they take risks such as this. In other countries, PUV and truck drivers are considered as a real profession and they need to study and train for a long time before they get approved.

Saw 3 big orange dump trucks earlier today and this one looks to be the same as the one I encountered. I was wondering why they were driving along Tayuman Street in Manila when Tayuman is not a truck route.
Also, I don't understand why the law only allows the impounding of the vehicles of these repeat violators. Why not apply to have the business permits of these trucking companies revoked? They will never learn and will never be afraid to take their chances because the penalty is really negligible for them, now if the penalty is as severe as the revocation of their business permits then they will definitely toe the line and fire these erring drivers
Maybe those were DPWH trucks.
As far as I know, this truck is still held in the mmda Impound lot.

Given the fact (and evidence) the diver has several times provided false information (name) MMDA Bong Nebrija is within his authority to effect an arrest and turn over the person to the police and be charged accordingly. While the owner of the truck may also be charged.
Possible that his employer will be also charge, but he/she may take his reason/s he is not a driver to drive on that road.
They make twist and it will may cause useless.
The driver is not innocent, he has a big wall to leaned on.

Usually enforcers won't ask you to turn off the engine unless you were chased or they believe you're going to attempt to flee.
