Honestly I wish we could get politicians more like John Oliver and Jon Stewart, But I think they do very well (or even better) where they are now. Late night television is a WAY lower level than John Oliver! Wish he’d keep deep diving and exposing more of American politics. HBO lets him go alittle because he’s making piles of money and Emmy’s.

It's a joke. Every time John Oliver and Seth Meyers are nominated for the same category, John has always won, like for the last 8 years. So Seth was saying John stole all his (chances to win) emmys by always winning.
@@haemaincinema6331 yeah, no complaints on those past times .. but this year with Oliver in a different category, Seth deserved to win.
John was on Jimmy Kimmel last week and they joked that the category is worse now because at least when they lost to John Oliver, they could pretend they were #2 and would've won if he wasn't in the category. Since The Daily Show won instead (with a host that left over a year ago), they can no longer take comfort in that fantasy.
That sad thing is Seth's show overall is better than The Daily Show in my opinion. I like some episodes of The Daily Show, and I love Jordan Klepper's segments, but I like Seth every night. Especially his news and Closer Look. I do not think the other late night shows are better than the Daily Show, but Seth should at least be seen as equal!@@debbiedoodiedandi
