The 0-200 of MG4 is strange, is that 17.7sec only indeed ? An i30N is about 18 ...19 sec and the difference is there from 0-100 already. So MG4 and i30N 100-200 is about the same indeed? Hmmm, strange.

    • @drivingenthusiastaustralia

The top speed of the MG is right on 200km/h, but it really starts to slow down from 180km/h, hence the huge gap to the IONIQ 5 N.

@@drivingenthusiastaustralia You know that "TOP" speed is limited, that is electronic controlled. and don´t think that "slow" down is the power, that is part of the limits. and of cause the 5 N is lilited at 260km/t i do believe that the 260 is a bit slow from 230 as well.

    • @drivingenthusiastaustralia
      @drivingenthusiastaustralia  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@tommyjakobsen5504 Of course. And it’s dangerous to cut the speed off instantly. That’s why this started to slow at about 180 etc. German cars do the same; electronically limited to 250km/h but I’ve seen 260, 265 from cars I’ve tested in Germany on the autobahn. Cutting the speed suddenly upsets the balance of the vehicle, so they cut it slowly.

For 60k drive away, the performance you get is undisputed and unmatched. I can’t think of another car that can do 0-100km in 3.8 seconds for less than 60k. It’s a performance bargain.

mate great review very similar in performance figures.
but I think one thing you miss to highlight is the price factor, the Hyundai is nearly 50% more for the price.
the question I would ask is it worth the extra money? for performance is it that much quicker?
warranty I believe MG gives more years.
Build and finish I think Hyundai wins hands down.
The size and comfort, Hyundai is a bigger car so it would win in that aspect.
But again is it worth the extra $$$$
both cars have different target audience and I think if you want bang for buck I would buy the Mgxpower!

Yeah big price difference, but you do get a lot more in the Hyundai; proper brakes and suspension, drive modes etc. But you’re right, if it comes down to price the MG is excellent value. @BondiBeache หลายเดือนก่อน +17

It depends on what you need it for.
In fact, if you don't do sports driving, you can just buy a cheaper car.
      Advantages of IONIQ 5N
-N Pedal means you don't have to worry about brake overheating when driving on the track, and there is almost no brake replacement cost.
The battery temperature is stable even when running two laps of the Nürburgring at full speed.
-This vehicle is SUV-sized, so the interior space is much more spacious and comfortable.
-When going camping, 3.6k is provided through the V2L function, so you can sufficiently use home appliances that require high voltage, such as lighting, cooking, beam projectors, laptops, etc.
-Although it is a larger battery, it can be fast charged 10-80 times in 18 minutes.
Conversely, the above are disadvantages of MG XPOWER.
-After a few laps of track driving, the brakes will not work due to overheating of the brakes, or the vehicle will enter limp mode due to overheating of the battery.
-Also, if you enjoy track driving, you will need to replace your brakes very often or tune them with much more expensive brakes.
-Because it is much smaller, it is inconvenient to use as a family vehicle.
-V2L is available, but since it provides 2.2k, it will not be of much use if heaters, cooking utensils, etc. are included.
-10-80 Fast charging takes 52 minutes.
If you don't do track driving and use it for everyday purposes, it's not a bad idea to choose an MG or a regular EV. 5N is a vehicle specialized for track driving.

Yes, it is because of the Thai government’s tariff system.
Very high tariffs apply to vehicles not produced in factories within Thailand.
We know that it is difficult for Thai consumers to have many choices other than Japanese cars. Many manufacturers hope to produce in Thailand, giving Thai consumers a wider range of choices. 🙏

One of the biggest problems with these electric cars is insurance… many people don’t understand that due to the battery being unstable and they can catch on fire especially on hot days.. you are going to struggle to get coverage in case of a fire. What is the source of this evidence. There have been a total of six (6) electric vehicle fires in Australia in ten years. One of those was a battery left on the ground in the rain after it was damaged and two were Janus electric semi trucks.
So again I ask, where are these bits of evidence you WILL present to support this statement?

Standards for displaying electric vehicle mileage vary by country.
The one that is most exaggerated is China.
Electric vehicles with the same mileage are displayed for each country as follows.
      NEDC(CLTC) / CHINA / 500km / 100%
      WLTP / EU / 425km / 80~90%
      EPA / North America / 375km / 70~80%
      South Korea Ministry of Environment / 325km / 60~70%
In reality, the reason the mileage standards are different for the same electric vehicle with the same mileage is
This is because the environment is different in each country.
This is because in the case of China, there is a tendency to exaggerate all figures.
      -------------------------------------------------- -----------------------
In addition, according to the number of accident reports from the U.S. AutoinsuranceEZ,
CAR FIRE BY VEHICLE TYPE per 100k sales
      is as follows:
      1.Hybrid 3474.5
      2.ICE 1529.9
      3. EV 25.1
In fact, hybrid vehicles overwhelmingly have the highest fire accident rate.
If you search PRIUS fire accident on Google, you can see numerous fire photos.
      But don't worry.
In reality, it would be difficult to witness such a situation directly in life.
Even for hybrids, which have the most fire accidents, 2.5% is not a high probability.
