    The duos chips had bbq snag (sausage) and tomato sauce (has a different flavour and ingredients than ketchup but is a popular condiment here in Au especially on a meat pie!). Coles is one of our major supermarkets (Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, IGA) and those chips are their store brand/home brand. Cheap and usually better tasting than the name brand chips! Also that nut bar is an Aldi brand and it comes in a box of five bars.

    Thank you to Kris for sending such a great box of treats! It all looked so wonderful. The chocolate-covered licorice looked really great (sorry Satoshi!). When I was little, we had an ice cream shop near us that made their own ice cream. They made licorice ice cream, and it was so good! Once in awhile, my parents would allow me to get the cones dipped in chocolate. Yes, I even got the licorice ice cream dipped in chocolate, and it was really great! Thanks for the video, and I send good wishes to you for the New Year!

    Turkish Delight is also popular in the UK - it's one of my favourite chocolate bars. If you have any stores in Japan that sell British products, you might find some bars on the shelves. Can I just say that those chocolate covered licorice things look absolutely revolting (sorry to any Aussies out there, but EEEW!)

    • @lmaree200886
      @lmaree200886 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joe Algiere I've heard two versions of why we sometimes call sausages 'snags'. One is for the linked sausages or snagged together, two a butchers slang word for skin, nuts and guts. In other words the leftovers of the animal used to make the sausage. ;)

    Oh hey guys!! 😁 I was on the same ANA flight from JFK to Narita about two weeks ago! I never said hi because I was too shy and the both of you looked tired and I thought that it would have been really weird to just walk up and say hi! 😅😅 Even after the long flight, I still didn't say hi even though I was waiting for my luggage right next to you at Narita Airport! 🤐 (I was the one trying to help a woman return a luggage back onto the belt because it was too heavy for her to pick up) I was still too shy!
    Maybe next time! :)

  • @killerfunghoul3948

    That's mostly all uk snacks guys, just a few with different brand names. The cheese tube corn things are called wotsits here made by walkers, Turkish delight is one of ours (real stuff from turkey is so much better and so many other types and not just rose and without that horrid chocolate flavoured stuff on it), Cadbury is a uk brand anyway so you're not really trying anything that's truly Aussie.
    There is something here you might actually enjoy made with liquorice guys. It's an old style boiled sweet (hard candy for you yank) that is blackcurrant and liquorice flavour. I too loathe any strong tasting liquorice but that stuff you will love.

    Actually good to finally see someone enjoy a Turkish Delight lol. Originally British and still made by British Cadburys for the UK market, our Turkish Delight is made by Cadburys Australia and one of my all-time favourites but sadly, has to rate as one of the most controversial chocolate bars you will find here in Oz. Most internationals I see trying it just don't get the texture or the flavour usually, which seems to result in it being spat out 99% of the time lol
    Shameful waste of an absolute classic lol!
