diarrhea....lol. Satoshi San's English is actually very good; but his occasional misadventures with the English language are really funny in a delightful way.
Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my brother for the last couple of months xD
-the normal picnic is the best -mars pods are so good -the purple dinosaur is blackcurrent -cherries are expensive here as well -there is no licorice in the rasberry twist we have lots of flavours from that company - australia made the lamington and it is a snack
J Stevo Try visiting Tassie in cherry season. You should be able to get cherries by the bucket for a reasonable price if you go to the cherry farms. (And you can eat while you pick them haha)
Shinichi, I'm so sorry you've been sick with a cold! It's very handy there was so much delicious chocolate in the lovely assortment of Australian treats from Della and Rick! Chocolate is full of antioxidants and is very healthy (in moderation, of course). Who knows? The vitamins from the chocolate might help you get well! Please take good care of yourself, Shinichi, and get well soon. Happy New Year, Shinichi, Satoshi, and Justin! Thank you for the great video.
This was awesome to watch. I'm so used to these lollies and chocolate and I guess take their flavours for granted so it was cool to see you both have that initial wonder.
Cherry Ripe is our oldest chocolate bar at 92 years old, Nestle Violet Crumble is Aussie invented and is older that the UK Cadbury Crunchie, Pavlova is pretty much from New Zealand but ours is definitely the Lamington but we share a lot of things as they are only three hours away by plane from the east coast (from Sydney where I am). There's also a Raspberry Lamington that's pink and uses Raspberry Jelly/Jello to colour and flavour it (unlike using chocolate icing for the original) and there's another version that has raspberry jam and cream in the middle (usually a larger cake size). I can't believe you guys just tried everything that you can currently purchase in the confectionery aisle in our supermarkets! Those Apple Crumble Pods are new, I've seen them but not tried them yet. I love the Mint Slice pods myself! They're based on the Arnott's Mint Slice Biscuit (same company that makes the Tim Tam's)
I just finished watching Americans and Canadians trying Australian snacks, which was very funny to watch as they had not tried many of these, if any at all, before they video'd their reactions to the "treats". Whilst it was hilarious to see their reactions, your responses to the "sweets"/confectionary were also amusing, but you were very articulate at the same time. Even though the gentleman with the hirsute face did not particularly like liquorice he was able to intelligently comment. So, not only was it interesting/amusing to watch your post, it was also educative in that you were able to verbalise your shared experience lucidly. Thank You, Carlos. P.,S., Cadbury Australia also have a bar called "Marvelous Creations", when you put a bite in your mouth allow it to dissolve itself, as you swirl your tongue around in the melting confection, it's sort of like the "snap crackle and pop" of "rice bubbles", or, what you might imagine experiencing skyrockets of surprising flavours exploding between your tongue and your palate to be like, (truly). Have Fun.
You two are adorable. I also haaaaate black licorice. There are these gum drops called black crows, they are black licorice gummys and my dad loves them...😝 Tim Tams for the win
we have various kinds of pods including mars, snickers and the Apple crumble one is new. so amusing to watch you both try treats that I see so often hehe glad you guys enjoy them
Tim Tams are at their best when opposite corners are bitten off, and used as a straw to drink coffee through, then put the whole Tim tam in your mouth! It’s called a Tim tam slam! It’s awesome!
Thank you, Satoshi and Shinichi for another good review and for showing us around Shinjuku. Always love seeing Satoshi's reaction before and after eating licorice :D :D
Hello boys from Queensland Australia, just to let you know here in Queensland our Cherry 🍒 season is from middle of October to the end of January which is Spring and Summer. I do love your videos so that I want to come to Japan 🇯🇵 you both are amazing 👏🏽👏🏽
It's 1AM in Australia and I feel so proud that you guys love the sweets! Pods are my absolute fav too! It's cherry season but they're still very expensive! Approximately 2110 yen per kilo or 2.2 pounds! I hate black licorice too, YOU'RE NOT ALONE! I didn't grab the lamington chocolate bar in time and because it's limited edition I missed out! They released a vegemite version which I LOVEDDDDD as well! We have red velvet and peanut butter timtams too! Double decker, dark, white, milk. Heaps! ALSO YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS! Get a cup of coffee or hot choclate, bite each end of the tim tam and then suck your drink through it like a straw!
TabiEats Make sure you only use a TINY amount with LOTS of butter on piping hot toast! Don't slather it everywhere like most people do when they first try it!
Wolfcchi Ick, The Peanut Butter ones were horrible! They had many complaints cause the colouring was turneric and there was no real peanuts in them! Also don't forget the Toffee Apple, Coconut Cream, Pineapple and Coffee flavoured Tim Tams we've had recently or even currently! (can still get the pineapple and coconut cream ones which are next to the mango flavour). Absolutely hands down, the Red Velvet and Coconut Cream are my all time favourite Tim Tams apart from the Dark Mint Crunch ones from the mid 2010's! The Vegemite Cadbury did not sell well in my area, at the end they were discounted down to $1.50 a block! Damn, I missed out on the lamington one! :(
lmaree200886 Just a note most orange or yellow colouring comes from Turmeric. e100 is a safer and less problematic than the US e110 sunset yellow, which often has people allergic.
Yay! I'm so happy you guys got some Australian Candy! You have to try the regular Picnics. They don't look good, but they're so yummy. Cherry Ripes are good. Pods have plenty of other flavours. Darrell Lea (pronounced "da-rill lee") is a good company, and there's so much more to try. If you guys want some snacks, I could bring some on my April trip and maybe mail them or bring them to you. There's so much more to try. Can't wait for part 2 to see what else I could bring you guys.
Satoshi's reaction to eating the licorice and chocolate snack was so funny. I watched it a couple of times 😂 I've seen Pods in the supermarket but never thought of trying it. I'll buy it tomorrow 😊
Guys, please pass me Satoshi's liquorish chocolate sticks! They look awesome!! Thanks for the great show my friends! I was fascinated by the great Australian treats!
Twix are available in many countries around the world but they are originally from the United States design for the u.s. pallet first and then tested in other markets where you can still find them today all around the world
I love licorice, but I don't like Darrell Lea licorice. I think I've tried all the Australian licorice brands, but my favorite is still American Twizzlers.
With pods, apple crumble isn't the main flavour of pods, there are others such as twix, picnic and my personal fav Mars flavoured pods which are the ones most well known😜 Another thing that may vary are the raspberry twist and black liquorice and chocolate as they do many other fruit flavours like mango as well as creme filled or not or hard and soft😍
if you guys haven't finished eating the tim tams you should do the tim tam slam. you first eat one corner of one side then on the other side diagonally of where you ate the first corner eat that. You then get a hot beverage and suck the tim tam where you ate a corner and suck it like a straw and the liquid should go through but watch out the tim tam will melt so eat it quickly. :D
I LOVE the teeth! They used to be more mint based and you're supposed to play with them and put them over your own teeth haha! The dinosaur if it was dark red was raspberry and if purple, blackcurrant! And yes it is Cherry season here! We have them at Christmas! The company Darrell Lea is pronounced Da-rell Lee :D their chocolate called BB's is so good!~
Buzzfeed has a cute video where a group of Australians definitively rank Tim Tam flavours. My favorite was always Coconut Cream, but I haven't had them in years because they're super difficult to find here in the Northeast US - except ordering online. The mango variety was only apparently launched this October and is brand new. Incidentally, in Indonesia there's a cheese flavour!
I got a box of Cadbury's Cookies for Christmas. They were chocolate covered cookies. I rate them at 4 out of 10 stars. I want to try the Tim Tam's. I love Twix. If you have never had Guylian chocolate before, I highly recommend them, especially their signature hazelnut truffles.
People in the comments are all trying to claim twix was originally from their country. If you want to know what wikipedia says, here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twix but at the end of the day, the main thing was for Satoshi to try it for the first time, and he did :-) It just happens that the twix he tried was from Australia, but as it turns out, twix is sold in many countries :-) Yay that means more of us can eat twix! :-)
I only just found this now! Apple crumble is a dessert where you have stewed apples spread in a layer over the base of a square pie dish. Then you mix cold butter, sugar and flour until it looks like crumbled biscuits and sprinkle the mixture allover the apples. Bake in the oven until the crumble mix is golden and crunchy. Serve with vanilla ice cream! Yummy! You can find the recipe online.
Until I watched your video, I assumed that Violet Crumble had a flowery, violet-flavored center. So surprised to learn the center is similar to honeycomb. I love Tim Tams too, but I can't trust my self-control when they're in my proximity. I hope you feel much better soon. あけましておめでとう、さとしさん と しにちさん。🎊🥂✨
I really like this show/channel (whatever you prefer it called). It's obvious you two are in pretty good shape, but I do have concerns about all the "junk food" you eat (sorry! had to say something!). And I'm going to comment on the "GMO food" video you guys posted (I think it's the "pop-tart" episode?), when I watched it my keyboard wouldn't type vowels so I couldn't say what I felt I needed to!
Am from Aus. Laughed so hard watching this. What is this? Snake? Natural snake taste? Hahaha. I grew up eating these and long, long multi coloured snake lollies called killer pythons.
Omg, don't you have twix in Japan?? The product was first produced in the United Kingdom in 1967,and introduced in the United States in 1979 Twix was called Raider in mainland Europe for many years before its name was changed in 1991 (2000 in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Sweden and Turkey) to match the international brand name. The name Twix is a portmanteau of twin biscuits, or 'twin bix'. I'll have to see if I can find the Java twix for you. Hope you have a great New Years.
EatLazy! What??? 😱😱 We can't get the white or cappuccino ones here anymore. I would love to try those one day, and someday I will try stuff from Germany.
I love mangoes as well. Love having a banana-mango Smoothie. especially if you slice and freeze the banana's and/or mangoes before you make the smoothie.
Aww, i just moved out of Australia a couple of weeks ago and this made me crave all their sugary sweets. Were am i gonna get pods now?! Did you know they also have them in many other flavours e.g. snickers, mars. Also, theres a way to eat a tim tam and its known as the tim tam slam, you should try it! I hope you enjoyed all the Australian snacks as much as i have :)
Satoshi is correct, it it cherry time in australia. Lamington is Australian and there is some discussion if the iconic pavlova is either aussie or kiwi.
In 2008, Helen Leach published The Pavlova Story: A Slice of New Zealand's Culinary History, in which she argued that the earliest known recipe was published in New Zealand. Research conducted by Dr Andrew Paul Wood, a New Zealander, and Australian Annabelle Utrecht found that the origins of the modern pavlova can be traced back to Germany, where it began life as a German torte. It was later brought to America where it evolved into its final form. You can have the finn brothers and Russell Crowe has made his home here since he was 4.
i was thinking about sending you some aussie snacks but was worried about getting it together while its so hot here. I'll have to see if there are any treats you missed out on in this haul.
I never loved licorice until I went to Australia and my friend bought me a bag of anise drops. It's more close to mint in taste than licorice. I love the taste of anise based licorice. And Satoshi might be won over if he had anise based licorice.
The plain black Darrell Lea pronounced ( Darrell Lee ) love watching your reactions 😂🤣😂🤣 Have you ever tried Vegemite? I’ve just started watching your videos in the past 2 weeks so lots of catching up 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😁😁😁 Original TimTams are the best👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Satoshi's smile and laugh are life. He is soooo adorable!
So happy you're trying Australian sweets! I hope you enjoy!
Everytime I watch you guys, I fall more and more in love- you guys are awesome!!!!
Fun fact! Twix is originally from Europe and started off in England in 1967. We have it here in Sweden and I grew up eating it ^^
I love that satoshi is coming out of his shell more in these videos, his reactions are so fun to watch!
Also congratulations on 100k!
diarrhea....lol. Satoshi San's English is actually very good; but his occasional misadventures with the English language are really funny in a delightful way.
Not gonna lie... When i saw it, i lol'ed.
Not sure if anyone gives a damn but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my brother for the last couple of months xD
@Ronan Maison yup, have been watching on instaflixxer for since december myself :)
Im so glad your channel is growing. I've been here from the start and ill continue to be here to support you guys. Great work!
Twix is my favorite especially when they bring out the special dark chocolate Twix. Chocolate caramel and a shortbread cookie, wonderful.
You gents always make me happy!
-the normal picnic is the best
-mars pods are so good
-the purple dinosaur is blackcurrent
-cherries are expensive here as well

Yes you are right it is cherry season now December here in Australia
Pet Rhodes It's Summer so all Summer fruit is in season for us :)
Its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay To Hot in Aus!!! It Was 35 Degrees Today
Shinichi, I'm so sorry you've been sick with a cold! It's very handy there was so much delicious chocolate in the lovely assortment of Australian treats from Della and Rick! Satoshi reaction to the violet crumble is hilarious! haha

I have never seen the apple crumble flavour before and I live in WA 😭
LOVE the purple themed tree! My favorite color. :)
Another fun video. Those Australian candies look great -- especially those Cherry Ripe and Tim Tams. Happy New Year, Guys!
This was awesome to watch. I'm so used to these lollies and chocolate and I guess take their flavours for granted so it was cool to see you both have that initial wonder.
wishing you a Happy New Year Satoshi and Shinichi!🌸🌸🍊🍊🎋🎍

Have Fun.

I love watching Satoshi suffering too. Especially Shinichi delighting in it!
Twix was developed in the UK. I love watching Satoshi reaction to things he doesn't like.

You guys are so awesome! I'm glad you are trying Australian food! I should send you South African sweets!
The guy in the t-shirt is so cute!
Satoshi's reaction to eating the licorice and chocolate snack was so funny. I watched it a couple of times 😂 I've seen Pods in the supermarket but never thought of trying it. I'll buy it tomorrow 😊
I love the Pods Snickers though!!! So good!
I love the licorice and chocolate candies, so good
Guys, please pass me Satoshi's liquorish chocolate sticks! They look awesome!! Thanks for the great show my friends! I was fascinated by the great Australian treats!
Violet crumble looks like what we have in England which is Crunchie
we also have Crunchie here in Oz but its less crumbly and slightly more sticky than VC
Violet crumble is essentially crunchie! We have crunchie too but tbh crunchie is better :P
Daniel J Waldon Violet Crumbles are older than a Crunchie and are Aussie invented!
That is what i thought as well, we have them in Canada, too.
watching people eat violet crumble for the first time is adorable
I love seeing your option on our ozzy snacks!!!!!
Twix are available in many countries around the world but they are originally from the United States design for the u.s. pallet first and then tested in other markets where you can still find them today all around the world
satoshi after licorice😂😂😂😂😂
Poornima Krishnan I'm with him, I hate licorice
Me too!!! I even hate the smell of it...but his reaction are so cute!! XD
***** there are a lot of Satoshis in Japan. It's a name, like Christopher
***** 😂😂😂😂 You silly

if you guys haven't finished eating the tim tams you should do the tim tam slam.
you first eat one corner of one side then on the other side diagonally of where you ate the first corner eat that.
You both are so cute especially the part where Satoshi handed the chocolate piece to Shinichi at 15:28 and then Satoshi's expression 15:33
Dark choc Tim tam slam with coffee is the best!! We have so many flavours you guys could just do a tim tam tasting video!
"OOH, MYSTERIOUS". That's funny. Violet crumbles are the stuff.
I had timtam when I friends brought back some from Australia trip 😊😊
it was very good ..but too sweet for my liking

Satoshi's face after eating liquorice is priceless! :-)

That tree is magical! Ask for Tasmanian wine next time! Their Riesling is subarashi!!

Yep! Honeycomb cereal. I loved Twix as a kid too, Shinichi!
You should do a video on Root Beer. I know that Sassafrass is not a well liked flavor in Japan so it would be interesting.
There are sooooo many Tim tam flavours here!!!!!!!
Darrell Lea make a good rocky road called Rocklea Road, it is a huge bar.
I enjoy watching your videos. And I agree that black licorice is nasty, but the red ones are great.
Some of those treats are so tasty!
Darrel Lea also have a soft eating licorice, which I really love.
Aww, i just moved out of Australia a couple of weeks ago and this made me crave all their sugary sweets. Were am i gonna get pods now?! Australian chocolate I find is less greasy than American, Australian skittles are very different to American skittles too
Australian Chocolate has ingredients in them to stop them melting in the hot summer . So yes its a very different taste
Cadbury chocolate is so good! At the moment we have Blackforest, Lychee and Coconut and Mint Tim Tams!
Twix is in Canada, too!
Satoshi is correct, it it cherry time in australia. Lamington is Australian and there is some discussion if the iconic pavlova is either aussie or kiwi.
muzza1967 it's been proven that the pav belongs to New Zealand and us kiwis would like to ask Aussie for crowed house back u can keep Russell crow

ive seen timtams fore sale in a few places around tokyo before
i was thinking about sending you some aussie snacks but was worried about getting it together while its so hot here. I'll have to see if there are any treats you missed out on in this haul.
Can you do a recipe video for the sliced pork that you put in ramen??
Alas, they could not ship a nice fresh pie from Oz lol. Nice christmas tree!!
my fave pods is the snickers and twix hehehe
I never loved licorice until I went to Australia and my friend bought me a bag of anise drops. It's more close to mint in taste than licorice. I love the taste of anise based licorice. And Satoshi might be won over if he had anise based licorice.
