I think that lyric might be a reference to how Berdly ALMOST became a sort of "Knight" at the end of Chapter 2.

I actually quite like Berdly.
He doesn’t completely take in the whole “evil creepy nerd” stereotype that most antagonists like him have, and he actually seems like a genuine person, or er, monster.
I especially love how he doesn’t actually love Noelle, only pretending to do so because he had genuinely thought she had the hots for him. It’s a great twist that leads to an even funnier moment where he expresses his new crush on Susie.
Without this realization though, he would've faked it until he made it.
I always disliked Berdly, for the same reason as Queen. I found him annoying. He’s still cool, and has the objectively best theme.

Nah but jokes aside. Sure, that’s fine. I personally liked him because I like those types of weird wacky characters. (Part of why I love Deltarune) but I can see why people wouldn’t like him.

@@Monkebs45 Is it because Berdly is the Nerd stereotype equivalent of... well, an ignorant portrayal of a group of people? Because that's what I would've gotten offended by, though Berdly is definitely much more well-made and refined version compared to other gamer nerds who are actual just "nice guys with glasses/peeping Toms" and nothing else, Toby is making an actual effort with Berdly, in my opinion.
So are we going to talk about how Berdly is basically _Kris'_ Lancer?
Let's make a count for the record:
Shows up out of nowhere as the first significant boss.
Reluctantly serves the main villain.
After fighting him, you change to a new location.
Basically ignores Ralsei's existence and shrugs off Susie, focusing on only one member of the party.
Has tricky patterns that can be later mastered pretty easily, like Lancer's spades.
Trolls and follows you in the next locale.
Is shown to be not 100% evil.
You have a one-on-one rematch with him later, which is far more heated due to it being over a misunderstanding.
In the final locale, which is the bad guy's castle, he turns around and helps you.
People point to Spamton, but Berdly really hits home that this is _Kris'_ chapter, opposed to Susie having the focus last one.
Ralsei chapter next?
I would see this as the "Noelle chapter" since Noelle is also kind of on Berdly's side with her being captured while Susie is on Lancer's, just willingly. King seems to potray Susie's "rudeness", with him too making the "hurr durr i dont like quiet people" line, and Queen seems to represent Noelle's mother. They both have arcs related to the villains, Noelle learns to stand up to Queen, which will probably later lead to her standing up to the Mayor, while Susie learns to not always rely on violence, as she doesnt want to make Lancer sad. Lancer doesnt seem to ignore Ralsei, in fact, he interacts with him too, just like Berdly interacts mostly with Kris and Noelle, so they both focus on TWO team members. Since in the end cutscene Toriel is with Kris and Susie she might be the focus of the next chapter, with the Boss potraying her relationship with Asgore, and how it affects their children.

DAAAAAMN- this really emphasizes the actually decent side to berdly’s character. i may not like him that much, but people really need to understand that he’s a really protective and caring person and not just a gamer with a huge ego
Maybe he _did_ genuinely care for Noelle. The problem is that he sometimes doesn't care for what Noelle _wants,_ as shown in the beginning of both chapters released so far.

His brain sure is as big as his ego that’s for sure
The lyrics embody Berdly as a character very well. Yes he’s annoying and definitely an idiot at times but he’s far from stupid. He’s starved for attention and praise, to be superior and smart but he still cares for Noelle since she’s his friend and she helped him get to where he is now. He makes a lot of video game references and genuinely wants to help Queen rule Cyberworld to shape it into a new world for him and Noelle. As someone has said before, “He’s not malicious, he just has poor social skills” and as Queen has said, there’s nothing wrong with Berdly he’s just annoying.

Yeah, people should really cut him some slack. I was actually surprised in a good way by him in chapter 2 for two reasons:
-I expected him to be a pushover that would get defeated in one shot, yet he put up an actual fight. Sure, not a hard fight, but given how low the expectations were on him, that is something.
-During the snow grave route, he actually acted like the knight in shining armor he thinks he is

I love the attention to detail-- Berdley actually sounds like he's progressively getting more tired, having to catch his breath each line by the end of it
I love the fact that in the second half Berdly started getting more and more frantic with his singing once he realised that the fight isn't going the way he visioned it. Shows how he doesn't like it when there is someone better then him and yet tried to keep his fragile pride as a prodigy.

Not because I hate Berdly, but because of how serious he becomes in Snowgrave, and because Snowgrave berdly has a top-tier battle theme.
Also, feels like they're going backwards when it comes to the order of the songs they're releasing for the musical.
I agree his battle in the snowgrave route one of my favorite aspects about him (and the route in general) the only main problem is how they’re gonna manage to create engaging lyrics for a 16 second loop but hey MOTI always finds a way to surprise me

As far as I know, Berdly's Snowgrave theme is "Smart Race" without melody
I disagree, the only original songs in Snowgrave are the WELCOME TO THE CITY alter, which might make interesting lyrics but considering they didn't even cover the original WELCOME TO THE CITY I doubt it, the couple of Berdly fight songs which are all short loops are not particularly engaging, just tense. They could make a cover of BIG SHOT, but they've already covered it and sure while they could change the lyrics to fit the scenario, Juno's already done that!

Once again, the voice choosing was perfect! It fits how Berdly talks so much, and the way his voice grows higher and angrier by the end is so well done. Angry nerd bird boy song is absolutely wonderful.
