Everyone is talking about their favorite verse, that the song is a blast from the past, or what parts they like from the remastered audio, but not one is talking about how happy Papyrus sounded when he said he was going on a date with the figurine! He sounded so happy!! It is by far my favorite part of the 2023 remaster.
"I'm outside of time and space, but I'm afraid you're just out of time." I forgot how INCREDIBLY amazing this song is, and you remastered it? You are the #1 song artist I have ever listened to, and I hope you never forget how great you are.
@@pox_pietru I think most of the big undertale fan songs are good. I have to say out of all the fandoms I've had the dis-pleasure of joining, I'm still impressed that the undertale fans had a full blown cinematic universe of connected au's. don't see that everyday.
"But my blasters won't be loud enough to muffle your screams" is the best underrated line ever. It sends me chills everytime I hear that.🥶 Awesome job, Stupes.
for me it's either "I reign eternal so be certain that I'm well rehearsed" or "every parallel dimesion is at my command but when it comes to spitting fire I have the matter in hands"
This was my favourite song from you! I’m glad to see it remastered! EDIT: “Stick around, this’ll be a fun number!” Is probably my favourite line in any Undertale song ever.
@@liampickering2753 undertale has a built in system called "fun values", where every time you start a run you're assigned a number from 1-100, and a little event can happen in the game depending on the number you got. Certain numbers get you a phone call from alphys in snowdin, some spawn in certain npcs that otherwise wouldn't be there, etc. If you get a fun value of 66, there's a 1/10 chance of finding a door in waterfall that brings you to a room with a sprite that is widely accepted to be Gaster. The bar is referencing the literal fun number required to see Gaster while being wordplay on a fun musical number.
@@liampickering2753 Every playthrough of Undertale is given a "fun number" that determines small and subtle changes in the game to make it feel more real and special each time. Only 4 fun numbers include characters that pertain to Gaster and I think only one allows you to actually meet him.
This got remastered, we didn't know it could get any better and here it is! At this part 3:04 when they say "underground" I choked on pizza and had to repeat it to process what just happend to me Absolutely stunning
Holy COW this is a blast from the past!!! Feels like years ago I first heard this song and made it a goal to memorize all the lyrics! I remember them still, but man is it still a test to keep up with you, haha! I really appreciate this, Stupes. Reminds me of how long I've been a fan and how much we've all changed since then. Thanks for the treat!!!
3:40 this line hits completely different now that it's all but confirmed that Gaster has some connection with the secret bosses going crazy in Deltarune
Since you teased it when you said that you were getting a bunch of songs remastered on your socials, I was expecting a ‘House Always Wins’ remaster, but this was a wonderful surprise! Great work as always! You nailed the skele-bros!
I can't even recall how many times I've seen this video over the years, but I just *now* noticed that at 3:46 the cup Gaster is drinking out of is the Earth. Stupes never fails to impress with the attention to detail.
This was the first Stupendium song I ever heard, and seeing it just got a remaster fills me with STUPENDOUS DETERMINATION! Thank you so much for your works Stupes, keep the wonderful work up! And congratulations again for the Tooz!
@@Pigpugborj "I am Papyrus, traps set, armed and ready, there's medals on my armor already - oh, plus some spaghetti. You're nervous, but - oh, that is good spaghetti, now where was I? I keep on forgetting"
@hidekionishi5906 It is literally _from the game._ It _might_ have a relation to the meme in that the game could have been referencing the meme, but in the game, Papyrus canonically loves spaghetti. There's only 2 things in San's and Papyrus' fridge: Spaghetti, and a single bag of chips.
Oh wow! I always loved the original, but this definitely polishes many of the elements! Love how you still keep it faithful to the first version, just improve on a few things I can image how hard it was to balance the original's vibe while still making the whole thing crisp and clean. Incredible job as always!
"Hey thanks for lisning... again" is just so good. Sans knows you have or are going to listen to it multiple times. Amazing even at the end of the song as always stupendium
My autism is VERY pleased that one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite artists for one of my favourite hyper fixations got a remaster! Your work is always amazing I catch myself listening to the doing you make even when I don’t know/interact with the source material it’s based off of. I can’t wait to see what else you come out with remaster or new!
I cannot get over this man's lyrical genius. Stup could make a song about Solitaire and I'd love it. It might not even be possible because it's already perfect, but Ad Infinitum remaster maybe?
Ad Infinitum doesn't need a remaster! All my remasters are for my OLD songs. Like, the oldest things on the channel, before I was working with a professional audio engineer. Ad Infinitum has nothing to gain from a remaster! :)
I found this song when I was just barely learning english. But thankfully now I can fully appreciate the incredible lyrics and sans-ational puns this song has
@@Gene-Ius1 well yea you meed to be the ultimate hero just to get these references because of it being asriel as it gets and plus i bet most would miss the references even if i were to spell them out it would be like cooking up a fish in a hot land and i bet my tricks it text cant even be caught up because of somes snails pace because if you dont chairiel about this stuff you would get tittle from it tibia honest and with my elephant like writing which the elegant wouldnt even get because they would rather focus on the overworld than anything else and theycan be merciless
Stupes' end cards are the only ones that I enjoy just as much as the video itself, and this is a prime example as to why Papyrus yelling *"TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!!"* in the background made me laugh so hard
One of my favorite parts is 3:53 "You're in trouble, you see, if you try and tussle with the W.D." Something about the internal rhyme, alliteration, and sibilance really feels like a serpent whispering to you (especially with that susurrating echo) and I can't stop replaying it!! The song as a whole is absolutely phenomenal, I've been listening to it constantly ^^
This is a nostalgia trip. I remember listening to this for the first time in a McDonalds drive through. First Stupendium song I ever heard and I've been hooked ever since. I found myself singing along for this whole video. (Voices included) Oh how I love it. And also I have to commend what may be one of my favorite rap lines of all time. "When it comes to spitting fire I take the matter in hands". That is such a deep lyric that refences at least four things about the character. A true mastercraft of rap this artist is.
I love when you remaster songs, you added more to it, but not too much that it makes it hard to tell what’s going on, just the right enough that makes the song resonate their personalities so well. Another fantastic remaster!
I've always loved this track, and oo oxygen's sound mixing always tickles my brain in just the right way! I was waiting for Gaster's verse especially the entire time and I was so, so far from disappointed. The visuals look crisp as ever, and I'm glad that this classic got a fresh coat of polish
Love the new sound of the remake, I can hear the differences between this and the original! Well done, Oxygen, and fantastic dialogue additions Stupes!
I may not listen to your songs as often as i did like 3 years ago but my opinion still remains untouched: Stupendium is a lyrical genius when writing every masterpiece
This was one of the first songs I listened to by Stupendium, so I go back to being a 12 year old Undertale fan every time I hear this. Thank you so much for Remastering. I can still sing along to it!
A love the puns in this song, “I’m outside of time and space but I’m afraid you’re just out of time” is hilarious because he’s referring to the fact that you’re about to be killed by him and therefore out of time, but also you can reset and save so you are also outside of time
Another stupendous remix! Well done, Stup, and I have to say, it was a delight to hear an old favorite redone with such polish! The original was fantastic, and this one only more so. Also, happy Easter!
I've finally realized how clever "I also have a specialty in unlucky spelunkers" really is. Obviously it sounds super cool and flows great, but it is also a reference to Gaster "falling into his creation." But the reason he says it is because Frisk is also an unlucky spelunker since they fell into the underground. He's literally saying, "You fell down a big hole? I know the feeling kid."
These are the kinds of remasters I live for. It’s the little, subtle changes that make such a big difference for the better. Amazing work, you never miss!
"I'll make make you laugh or cry depending on the run you've set upon" I don't know about the laugh part but crying is definitely inluded in every route.
This was actually the first song of yours I ever heard, and it remains one of my top two favorite Undertale songs. It actually took me years before I thought to check if the person who made this song made any others, and I've been thoroughly hooked on your stupendous melodies ever since!
Oh. My. Asriel. This song is the song that got me into your channel. I remember being in my Undertale craze phase, and being absolutely amazed by how you characterized these three skelebros in song, with genius jokes and references filled throughout. I remember being super spooked by the bridge with Napstablook, before leading into some of the best Gaster content I've ever seen. I remember searching for every single reference I could, like the references to Megalovania, Bonetrousle, and Gaster's Theme in the instrumentals of their respective verses. Hell I even made a dumb verse for the human's own response, and you literally gave me criticism on it! 12yo me was fanboying so hard. Thanks for this classic Stu! :D
Way deeper down analyzation Let me know if I have to change anything or missed something Some of these are really obvious, but I still thought I should include them 0:34 : sans says “patella”. that is a bone 0:46 : sans says “my eyes came out years ago”. Pun 0:56 : sans says “I’m the serif of these parts”. Reference to the font “sans serif” 1:04 : sans says “grilling up hot dogs AND genocidal toddlers”. Referencing the fact that he’s not afraid to fight 1:05 : sans says “but I’ll know if you restart”, implying that he can tell by a facial expression and he knows that past resets have been done 1:09 : Sans says “type face”. Which is another word for font 1:21 : sans says “humerus”. That is also a bone 1:23 : sans says “tibia”. Which is another bone 1:30 : sans says “inconspicuous lamp”. Referencing the conveniently shaped lamp 1:38 : when sans says “met a ton” he’s actually saying “mettaton” 1:39 : says means that every human is a skeleton with skin and flesh hiding it 1:41 : sans says that none of those skeletons was as good of a comedian as he is 1:44 : sans references both genocide and pacifist routes and what he can do to you if you choose either one 2:02 : the chorus says “way way deeper down”. The reason why is because they are underground 2:12 : reference to the electric maze puzzle in Snowdin 2:25 : papyrus makes an Eminem reference (obviously one about spaghetti) 2:46 : sans makes another pun (can we get a pun counter?) 3:11 : it’s the hook, they’re going to say that every time, same thing as 2:02 3:14 : napsablook knows about how you fell 3:19 : napsablook references the fact that they are stuck down there due to the barrier 3:22 : determination, is there really much more I need to say? 3:24 : toriel reference 3:26 : asgore reference 3:29 : napsablook says “the weight of your sins”. Which could be a reference to the sans fight when you get flavor text by having 10 - 20 KR at the beginning of one of sans’ turns “you feel your sins weighing on your neck” 3:30 : Snowdin reference 3:37 : gaster says “fun number”. Which is a reference to your fun value that you get at the start of the game, and gaster can only be found with a a specific fun value 3:39 : gaster says “versed”, this is a verse 3:42 : gaster says “unlucky spelunkers”. You got unlucky to come across him, and you fell down a mountain, exp, orang your surroundings. Which is known as spelunking 3:48 : (this entire line from gaster) most people don’t expect gaster to appear. “I’m the muddle of scenes” is very legitimate here, gaster’s room is found in between two different rooms in waterfall 3:56 : (this is a stretch) gaster says “crumble into rubble, debris) which could be a reference to your soul shattering into pieces when you die, which is what should’ve happened after the tumble (fall) 4:01 : GASTER blaster 4:07 : (ok, now this is really a stretch) Gaster was in the Kindness soul casket, which could show that gaster was actually a kind person and only wanted to help the underground escape. But now since he has fallen apart and is mostly forgotten by everyone else, he wants to make his presence known by the ones who forgot, 4:08 : (this entire line) Gaster is the smartest person in the underground, but yet he doesn’t really have any elements to experiment with, it’s either that for that part of the line or it’s just because he doesn’t exist for the most part 4:10 : Gaster knows that you can come back, so he wants to see what your limits are, what causes you to die, and what’ll make you quit. 4:13 : Gaster says “I reign eternal” he most likely knows what goes down in the world, and is probably the one who pulls the strings 4:15 : Gaster is shattered across time and space, so he can go to different universes or even multiverses, so he might know what a multiverse feels like 4:27 : ok, so this line can or does have a few different meanings. First meaning, Gaster is outside time and space literally, but he thinks that your time is up. Second meaning, Gaster is both outside time and space, but he is afraid that your only outside the concept of time 4:36 : hook… 4:48 : SANS PUN
I literally squealed when I saw the thumbnail. This has been one of my favorites for a long time, and it sounds amazing!!! Edit: WOW. The updated chorus vocals are so crisp and clean, and I got literal chills at the final verse. Mad kudos. This is awesome.
Gotta say bro, you did a good job on the remaster. The bass hits well with the minor background melodies for sans's bit. The reverb hits well with monsters voice as well. Well done, new masterpiece in the Spotify jammies
YES!!! I'm so happy you did this. I loved the song to death, but there were some lines in the original (particularly Gaster's) that were a bit hard to make out unless you were reading the subtitles. Now his verse is so much clearer and I can't thank you enough!
It wasn't until after the song stopped that I realized I had a stupid grin just plastered onto my face! This remaster is something I genuinely didn't know that I needed, Thank you Stupendium!
The moment I saw Stoopz, I knew this would be one hell of a ride, and you did not disappoint, my nonbinary entity! This is an amazing remaster of an already obscenely enjoyable track. Keep up the great work!
I rewatched the original so many times when I first found it that I remembered every single line perfectly. Still remember it now and this remaster just makes it better.
The backround music was enhanced so much from the original that the error in auto generated captions at 1:24 that used to say "Joe flew over his head" now just says [Music]
This was THE song for me. It was the first song I heard from the Stupendium, the first one which surprised me, the first one I memorised and sang while walking to the bus, the first which I loved. The sans verse was funny and clever, I couldn't tell that Papyrus was sung by the same person, and the Gaster verse was mind blowing in its vocabulary. Like, seriously, "you'll take a tumble then you'll crumble into rubble, debris" is such a fire line and it made me realise I loved this sort of rap. Every time there was a remake, I quietly hoped that this song would get some love, but as Deltarune chapter 2 came and went, I worried that the moment was passing and that this song would fade into obscurity. Imagine my joy then when I opened TH-cam to find this remaster. It is everything I wanted and needed: the voices are better balanced with the backing track, the sound effects and the beat are clearer, the Gaster backing whispers are crisp. Truly a high quality remaster. Thank you very much OxygenBeats and Stupendium for doing this
0:55 i just got what he was trying to say "they call me sans, im the serif of these parts" for people as stupid as me he was reffereing to the font "Sans Serif"
This remaster is great! But one thing I do miss are the effects for gaster, like the emphasis he had alternating lines for left and right sides to kind of show he knows more than he's telling, and his well placed static effect on the voice when he says "hands". But all around this is great! Used to be one of my favorite songs from here, with it being shortly behind "A fiend like me" and "oki doki", but still one of my top favorites
Lyrics:
So, I said, 'Patella? I barely know her!’
Sans! Stop your tomfoolery!
We are here to stand guard!
Wait here and keep your eyes out for humans!
Eyes out? My eyes came out years ago!
Heh heh heh heh...
Eeh, well, what do we got here?
They call me Sans
I'm the serif of these parts
Nah, just kiddin'
I work on a grease cart
Grillin’ up hot dogs
And genocidal toddlers
You can run
But I'll know if you restart
If you want a bad time
Then you're in the right place
Just look into my eye
See my funny type-face
I'm really quite a nice guy
But if you pick a fight
I will hunt you all your life
Through time and space
Can you blame me
If I feel a little hubris?
For my fame for making things
A little humerus?
I can tickle your bones
To the tibia toes
Well, unless you're my bro
Jokes flow over his head
Sans, who's there?
You ridiculous scamp!
No one!
It's just an inconspicuous lamp
If you ever meet a skeleton
In towels and some Wellingtons
Just humour him and let him win
And think that he's a champ
I bet you think you've never met a skeleton?
Well, I bet you've Mettaton
They just had a bunch of
Gooey melanin and flesh upon
But never one was
In the upper echelon of clever puns
I'll make you laugh or cry
Depending on the run you've set upon
We're spooky, scary
Sending shivers down your spine
You best prepare
For a hilariously bad time
Every human one day
Ends up six feet underground
But you're heading for a grave
That's buried way, way deeper down
Nyagh! A human! Call the guards!
Wait a minute, that's my job
To capture and nab you won't be hard
This maze is made with electric charge!
Wait, how did you get this far?
It took three weeks to erect this part
I genuinely didn't expect this, darn
How did you correctly guess this path?
I am Papyrus!
Traps set, armed and ready
There's medals on my armour already
Oh, plus some spaghetti
You're nervous!
But, oh, that is good spaghetti
Where was I?
I keep on forgetting
I am Papyrus!
Best chef in the king's brigade
With the culinary skills
To leave you flambéed
It's a shame that after
You taste my blade
You won't have space
For my bolognese
So, I guess you could say
That they pasta-way?
Sans! Is this how you have to behave?
I'm trying to challenge
This dastardly knave!
Now I've run out of bars
And they just ran away!

To survive extermination?
Trapped deep below
And all you've got to show
Is your determination
There's no tu-Toriel
It's Asgore-y as can be
Will the weight of your sins
Leave you Snowdin?
There's no mercy
Who dares disturb me
From my slumber?
Stick around
This'll be a fun number
I'm truly versed in tearing
All the universe asunder
I also have a specialty
In unlucky spelunkers
I'm a puzzle in a bubble
In the stuff of your dreams
Rupture realities and guzzle
On the stuff in between
You'll be befuddled when I muscle in
And muddle the scenes
Hit the shuffle and I'll tunnel
Through the fuzz on your screen
You're in trouble, you see
If you try and tussle with the W.D.
You'll take a tumble
Then you'll crumble into rubble, debris
I bring the muscle to the scuffle
Plus a couple of beams
But my blasters won't be loud enough
To muffle your screams
When you're caught in the cycle
Of an undying skeleton
Might as well strive to be
Front of the peloton
Top of my field
But out of my elements
Testing your death
Would be a welcome experiment
I reign eternal
So be certain that I'm well-rehearsed
Rhymes so very fine
That every line feels like a multi-verse
Every parallel dimension
Is at my command
But when it comes to spitting fire
I've the matter in hands

Is making my skin crawl...

This song is very accurate to the games, fans just make sans edgy when he is just a joker

This was my favourite song from you! I’m glad to see it remastered!

You might even say it's stupendous :)
All of gaster's lines goes so hard. Always loved the "fun number" joke.
I actually don't get that specific one. Can someone explain
Thank you guys! I did know about that system buy didn't know what it was called. I can now appreciate the line a lot more

My favorite song remastered?! I’ve been blessed! Thank you so much for this and all your hard work ❤
Holy COW this is a blast from the past!!! Feels like years ago I first heard this song and made it a goal to memorize all the lyrics! I remember them still, but man is it still a test to keep up with you, haha! I really appreciate this, Stupes. Reminds me of how long I've been a fan and how much we've all changed since then. @@TheStupendiumI love your music, how long did this one take to make?

I can't even recall how many times I've seen this video over the years, but I just *now* noticed that at 3:46 the cup Gaster is drinking out of is the Earth. Stupes never fails to impress with the attention to detail.
I always thought that it was the *crazy juice* from the L-Void deltarune memes videos

@@Pigpugborj "I am Papyrus, traps set, armed and ready, there's medals on my armor already - oh, plus some spaghetti. You're nervous, but - oh, that is good spaghetti, now where was I? I keep on forgetting"
@@idea5026 No, that's actually from the game. Papyrus _really_ likes spaghetti.

Papyrus yelling *"TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!!"* in the background made me laugh so hard

Gasters part is still the best most satisfying bit to me just the quick rhymes in the voice with the ghostly back tune is so satisfying 😘👌
A love the puns in this song, “I’m outside of time and space but I’m afraid you’re just out of time” is hilarious because he’s referring to the fact that you’re about to be killed by him and therefore out of time, but also you can reset and save so you are also outside of time
“I’m outside of time and space, but I’m afraid you’re just out of time” is STILL such an insanely good line, it actually drives me nuts.
Arguably the best line in the song. It’s fantastic.
The underground is the opposite of space, because space is way deeper up, so technically they’re also out of time and space

Some of these are really obvious, but I still thought I should include them
0:34 : sans says “patella”. that is a bone
0:46 : sans says “my eyes came out years ago”. Pun
0:56 : sans says “I’m the serif of these parts”. Reference to the font “sans serif”
1:04 : sans says “grilling up hot dogs AND genocidal toddlers”. Referencing the fact that he’s not afraid to fight
1:05 : sans says “but I’ll know if you restart”, implying that he can tell by a facial expression and he knows that past resets have been done
1:09 : Sans says “type face”. Which is another word for font
1:21 : sans says “humerus”. That is also a bone
1:23 : sans says “tibia”. Which is another bone
1:30 : sans says “inconspicuous lamp”. Referencing the conveniently shaped lamp
1:38 : when sans says “met a ton” he’s actually saying “mettaton”
1:39 : says means that every human is a skeleton with skin and flesh hiding it
1:41 : sans says that none of those skeletons was as good of a comedian as he is
1:44 : sans references both genocide and pacifist routes and what he can do to you if you choose either one
2:02 : the chorus says “way way deeper down”. The reason why is because they are underground
2:12 : reference to the electric maze puzzle in Snowdin
2:25 : papyrus makes an Eminem reference (obviously one about spaghetti)
2:46 : sans makes another pun (can we get a pun counter?)
3:11 : it’s the hook, they’re going to say that every time, same thing as 2:02
3:14 : napsablook knows about how you fell
3:19 : napsablook references the fact that they are stuck down there due to the barrier
3:22 : determination, is there really much more I need to say?
3:24 : toriel reference
3:26 : asgore reference
3:29 : napsablook says “the weight of your sins”. Which could be a reference to the sans fight when you get flavor text by having 10 - 20 KR at the beginning of one of sans’ turns “you feel your sins weighing on your neck”
3:30 : Snowdin reference
3:37 : gaster says “fun number”. Which is a reference to your fun value that you get at the start of the game, and gaster can only be found with a a specific fun value
3:39 : gaster says “versed”, this is a verse
3:42 : gaster says “unlucky spelunkers”. You got unlucky to come across him, and you fell down a mountain, exp, orang your surroundings. Which is known as spelunking
3:48 : (this entire line from gaster) most people don’t expect gaster to appear. “I’m the muddle of scenes” is very legitimate here, gaster’s room is found in between two different rooms in waterfall
3:56 : (this is a stretch) gaster says “crumble into rubble, debris) which could be a reference to your soul shattering into pieces when you die, which is what should’ve happened after the tumble (fall)
4:01 : GASTER blaster
4:07 : (ok, now this is really a stretch) Gaster was in the Kindness soul casket, which could show that gaster was actually a kind person and only wanted to help the underground escape. But now since he has fallen apart and is mostly forgotten by everyone else, he wants to make his presence known by the ones who forgot,
4:08 : (this entire line) Gaster is the smartest person in the underground, but yet he doesn’t really have any elements to experiment with, it’s either that for that part of the line or it’s just because he doesn’t exist for the most part
4:10 : Gaster knows that you can come back, so he wants to see what your limits are, what causes you to die, and what’ll make you quit.
4:13 : Gaster says “I reign eternal” he most likely knows what goes down in the world, and is probably the one who pulls the strings
4:15 : Gaster is shattered across time and space, so he can go to different universes or even multiverses, so he might know what a multiverse feels like
4:27 : ok, so this line can or does have a few different meanings. First meaning, Gaster is outside time and space literally, but he thinks that your time is up. Second meaning, Gaster is both outside time and space, but he is afraid that your only outside the concept of time
4:36 : hook…

Man am I happy this got remastered, it’s always been one of my favs and was the first song of yours I ever listened to
This was THE song for me.
Thank you very much OxygenBeats and Stupendium for doing this
The sinister hissed voices in Gaster's verse really lend to the ethereal nature of his character :O
I like the reverb action. As well as removing the reverb here 4:53. In the original it was difficult to understand what he was saying.
