Ive met a million women like her. I KNOW women like her in my personal life. They all have the same ideology. It's always someone who was rebuked by boys they liked in school. As a wife to a short man (5'3), he is an absolute jem. He is sweet, funny, and a great provider. In a month, we will have been married for 8 years. I understand that some people have preferences, but don't turn away a beautiful soul just because he wasn't blessed with height. As it says in 1 Samuel 16:7, "For the Lord sees not as man sees. Man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart." People who are looking, please date for morals and character, not for looks and wealth. There's also the element of the utterly unknown dumpster fire a man might be stepping into if he intervenes in domestic violence. I'm reminded of the tale of how this one actor got the scar on his face. He was riding by on a motorcycle and saw a dude beating up a woman behind a convenience store. He stopped and intervened on the woman's behalf, and the woman turned around and slashed him in the face with a broken bottle. It's distressingly common for domestic abuse victims to get violently protective of the men abusing them when someone else steps in. That'd give any rational person pause before trying to step into the middle of domestic abuse. I still think people should help if they see someone getting hurt, but like... people have made it a huge gamble to do so.
Wow that is such a good point. I still really really appreciate brave men with that sense of duty to protect women, because I definitely wish for gentlemen like that if I were to ever be unsafe, but the risk could be huge
