As a former incel I can personally vouch for the idea that the delivery isn't the problem. It's self reflection. It hurts, and at first I wanted to push back on the people and ideas making me do it because I didn't want to hurt. It still hurts. But I took what people were saying and started really examining it and myself, the world around me, and found out I was the very thing I always said I wasn't. Creators like this are important because of their reach, but the people with the real impact or in these men's lives. Their classmates. Their partners. Their friends. A friend had to sit me down and make me read Elliot Roger's ("The Killer Virgin") manifesto and seriously ask me how much I agreed with. Once he told me what the guy did, my answer made me sick. Self reflection, or rather the lack of it, is the problem. Not delivery. I don't think I have to the TheSpeechProf that, he's already said it in many videos. This is for the people who need to reflect. I did. I still do. I'll never stop, because I don't want to be that guy ever again.

Thank you for putting that work in and questioning how you experienced things and your place with society, i hope the changes you made continue reflecting in your life for many years. Also thank you for your honesty talking about this, it must be uncomfortable but like you said people in day to day life make the biggest difference and someone going through what you were might have see your comment and be convinced to think about the same things for a bit and for every incel that sees that theyll be met with kindness when they start to process why theyre experiencing the isolation that furthers the negative feelings, the world gets a little safer and happier for everyone. You had the wisdom to recognize how twisted that mindset is, and the courage and strength to walk away. That’s not easy. You have a really good friend there who tried to help you, but he could only show you the manifesto. He could only give you the information. You were the one who saw it for what it is and chose another path. Not only that, you’re choosing to share your story.
I hope you know that in doing so you may be offering others the same chance for change that your friend gave you. Very little can get through to a person better than the words of someone who’s been in the same position, been through the same things. Please remember how much power your words can hold, especially to someone who knows you understand them and how they feel. You’ve been there.

We shouldn't have to be there doormats that is the one thing they never seem to understand if they wouldnt be that way for a woman why do women have to be that way for them? The only doormat I would be that way for is a child because they actually do need a woman for survival.
They want women to do a different role then them but sometimes those roles don't work for women because it doesn't fit into her lifestyle they just think of there own feelings instead of others but a woman shouldn't have to fix that for them that is what a shrink is designed for so they can open up and talk about their problems.
I even heard one of them say the other day that true submission for a woman is setting her feelings and opinions aside to be agreeable and kind to a man but that's not how it works either if a woman can't fully be herself then why waste her time?
Why does she have to pretend to be somebody she's not just to make him happy? That's not love that's manipulation.

I understand, but I disagree. That's because I've been like 70% of the way there. Not a single person is gonna see this video and think 'maybe my ways are wrong' but (if we include tiktok) thousands will be just that ever so slightly more primed towards understanding that it's toxic and wrong.
Alone he's not gonna get far with this, but if we all together call out toxicity, there will be a noticable difference. Think of it like a stadium chant.

Online "arguments" are never about changing each others' minds. They are about swaying the undecided audience. Most of the time, nobody "wins" - one just gives up replying. Sometimes that's because their argument has been shot full of holes, oftentimes it's because their opponent has made it clear they have no mind to reason with. And always, it's because winning isn't the actual point of the discourse: presenting the arguments for the audience to judge is what it's all about.

It's not the "majority" of men. Most people are decent human being.
The problem is that the terrible men are SO VOCAL about being terrible, and they impart their view to other impressionable men.

      @@gamelucoz4595 Well that depends.
Not everyone needs to be a Feminist by the actual definition of the word, as it is a form of outspoken political advocacy and not everybody is going to be up for that.
Also, there's nothing wrong with standing up for yourself. I do it all the time.
The PROBLEM arises when you try to tear other people down, especially when targeting a historically oppressed demographic -- which women ABSOLUTELY are. While women have made great strides towards equality in developed, wealthy nations, there is a lot of work to be done in the Global South and in communities where economic and social profiles result in oppression.
So you have set up this false dichotomy (a logical fallacy!) where not being a Feminist is a negative personality characteristic (it's not) and a man standing up for himself means that he must deride women (he doesn't). It's completely possible for a man to be an ally and supporter to women while not being a politically active Feminist. It's also possible to stand up for one's self without tearing women down in the process.

Also, can you point to instances of Feminists "tearing down" men? I don't mean hurtful comments or videos on an internet media platform, but actual instances of POLICY. Here would be a few examples:
      -Keeping men as property
-Demanding men follow specific religious strictures under pain of imprisonment, corporeal punishment, or death
-Denying suffrage (the right to vote)
      -Denying property ownership
These are all examples of abuses that men have historically leveraged specifically upon women, and which the men of certain nations CONTINUE to leverage upon women specifically.

It’s like bc of these select few jerks, our experiences are diminished by women and our trauma is cast aside, and our genuine critiques are seen as insecure. When it’s just bringing our trauma to light. Men and women are one side of the same coin. But why when a guy has trauma we get laughed at for it. While over here she mentally and verbally abused me, and would constantly gaslight me and then turn it on me when I stood up for myself. Only making me apologize…you have to admit. When you speak a truth that applies to another person, they will out themselves when it offends them. Stephen Fry said it best.
"It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what."

i've seen a couple of her videos - regardless of why she's responding, it's not very clever. simply saying "your fat. cackle cackle." or "you going to be bald. cackle cackle." is not funny or clever. whether it's deserved or not is irrelevant -- i'm just talking about what you consider "hilarious."

I didn’t know who she was until you posted this and I looked her up and saw a few videos. I absolutely think she is right to respond to the kind of content that she does, but I will say I don’t like people making fun of others appearances as a response to their behavior. I totally agree that they had it coming if they are making ugly comments about peoples appearance as well, I just don’t think it changes peoples minds and it’s uncomfortable for me to watch.

I concur. I know that this ongoing cultural shift against dangerous misogyny & misogynoir like any long cultural shift requires a plethora of tactics & hers are uncomfortable exactly bc they are the mirror of the grossness that usually is incoming fire that women who speak in public usually receive from men.
So it's a necessary & valid tactic because it's so 🔥 with 🔥 and also I'm thankful she has the energy for it bc I've neither the appetite nor the energy.

"if they weren't being hateful she wouldn't respond that way" what a great way to avoid accountability for stuff you say.

I sincerely do not like her way of criticism at all . She is that kind of person who would make fun of people in an argument without presenting an actual point . Like girl doesn't even know to put forward her point . And the cringe part of her is that she laughs after her lamest joke like it is the funniest one . She shames men not 'some' men but all men and i think she just isn't making sense to me
